Our family has rented this cabin a couple of times and have enjoyed it each time. It's quiet and relaxing. The kids love wandering the beach and looking for any kind of sea life. They also love the air hockey table and having their own area up in the loft (their mom and dad love that too). It a bonus that its only a 15 minute drive to Shelton where you can find grocery stores and great resturants, but at the same time you feel that you're away from everything. It's a lovely cabin ideal for a restful get away. We will rent again!

We planned a 3 day weekend and wish we would have stayed longer! Our 3 year old and our dog loved the beach and it was small enough where they couldn't get lost. The cabin is very comfortable and we stayed there the entire time. We brought groceries, which was good because we did not see any restaurants close by. We will be going back soon!

We were with older folks so the sleeping situation was not great. When it says it sleeps eight that was a nice queen bed, two bunk beds and a futon not sure where the other two were supposed to sleep. My 83 year old mom can't do a futon or bunk bed. The sheets for the beds were torn and very "used" I didn't feel that they were clean. Since we needed to put a large deposit down that was refundable we needed to do the bedding prior to leaving. We started early but the drying took forever and we barely got out at the appropriate check out time maybe there was something wrong with the dryer too. The oven on the stove did not work (really old) and we didn't find the combination to the gate in order to drive down to load and unload until the last day. I think it was over priced for what it really was.

My family and I just returned from this wonderful cabin yesterday. It was very difficult to leave. The cabin is rustic and cozy. No 5 star hotel but what it lacks in luxury it truly makes up for in its private and secluded location. We were there for a week and honestly saw 3 people the entire time. The views from the cabins deck are beautiful as well and if you like clams, we had them almost everyday. Walk down at low tide and pull in your limit everyday if you wish. They are everywhere. A 30 minute drive to Bremmerton and you can take a beautiful ferry ride to Seattle for a day at the warf or a shopping trip through Pikes Market. If your are looking for a place to relax, this is your destination. My husband and I cannot wait to return.

We rented this cabin last August (2009) and it is GREAT!! Beach fires, clams, oysters, spotless and quiet. We give this 10 Stars and we will be back!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Me and my fellow ladies had a blast! Lots of stairs to climb back and forth just from the cabin to the car to unpack and repack, more stairs to get to the beach or walk the boat launch ramp next door. But sore calves were way worth it. Great views of the sound from the deck, walking along the beach, collecting clams and shells. Just wished we had booked a longer stay, definitely coming back for our next girl's getaway!

Great Getaway

Our family of four went for a full week June 29th - July 6th. We loved the cozy cabin, the beautiful view, watching the tides come in and go out. Our 3 year old son loved exploring the beach, as did our 17 year old daughter. I loved having access to a washer, dryer, dishwasher, full kithcen and bath! We enjoyed many oysters, clams and just relaxing. Next time we go, we will just make a stop at the super Walmart before we get there so we won't have to pack sooo much food. Thanks for a wonderful week.
