The villa is located in the Sierra Altea, on the 7th green of the Don Cayo Golf Club, less than a 10 minute drive to beautiful Costa Blance beaches. Situated in the Province of Alicante within the Valencia Region, the villa is nestled between the quaint fishing town of Altea and the village of Altea La Vella. Easy access is provided from the airports (both Valencia and Alicante) via the new and well-maintained Autopista AP7.
The charming historical fishing town of Altea is known as the International Center for the musical arts and is also the center of fine arts for the Valencia Region. It is home to the University for the Fine Arts and is both sophisticated and unassuming. The town is rich in local culture and charm, yet welcomes visitors from all over Europe and is a popular destination. The local food is fabulous, from light fresh seafood and vegetables grown in the region, to its famous rice dishes. There are a tremendous number of restaurants in Altea and Altea la Vella with great variety in both menu and price. The Valencia region is the birthplace of paella.
The striking Costa Blanca is known for its Sierra-like rocky mountains and fabulous weather (much like San Diego), dry, sunny and moderate. There is always a gentle breeze off the bright blue Mediterranean Sea to cool the hot days. Average rainfall is about 10 inches per year.
This charming 30 year old villa has been completely renovated and is very spacious with an open floor plan that includes a formal dining room, large island "American" kitchen, living room, and expansive covered outdoor living area on the main level with the pool. Located on a cul de sac in a safe, upscale neighborhood, there is an electric security gate and intercom.
The Master Suite is located on the main floor, with four additional spacious bedrooms located on the lower level. The house also has a separate office and offers wireless high-speed Internet access throughout. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful, mature and meticulously maintained garden that includes fruit trees, flowers and many exotic plants.
The panoramic views from the house terraces include the Mediterranean Sea, the mountains, the distant city skylines of Benidorm and others, and sits directly on the 7th green of the Club Don Cayo Golf Course. And the beach is just a few minutes away.
The oversized master suite offers direct access to the pool veranda, has a King size bed, a large round spa bath tub, large shower, two sinks, a secluded toilet area and 4 closets. The rest of the four bedrooms are beautifully furnished, spacious, also with large closets. One downstairs bedroom is en suite and two of these downstairs bedrooms offer private terraces.
You can walk to the local village of Altea la Vella in 15 minutes, or drive into the main town of Altea in about 5 minutes. There are also many attractions, activities and points of interest for the entire family, within 15 to 30 minutes of the villa. |
