Located on the beautiful Blue Hill Peninsula, Toddy Pond is a string of quiet lakes 9 miles long. The location is steeped in natural beauty and wildlife. Newly renovated in 2007, 'Toad Hall' has it all! With an all new kitchen, granite counter tops and knotty pine cupboards filled with plenty of utensils and even some staple foods, you and your guests can cook up a storm. The kitchen is open to a dining area with a cathedral ceiling and a Heartland stove. A large screened porch overlooks the water. A full size bed is in a spacious downstairs bedroom adjoining a full bathroom with a washer/dryer nook. The cozy den is open to a large formal living room and opens to the screened porch. Upstairs is a very large loft area with twin beds and another full bath. The master bedroom has a large balcony deck, California King bed and master bath with Jacuzzi tub. We have made many many improvements. Too many to list all, but what was already a special vacation rental is now nothing less than super.

Traveling from upstate New York..I can say that Toad Hall is generous in size, and perfect for entertaining friends for dinner. We were invited guests and so pleased with the peaceful setting The waterfront area is easily accessible and well suited for swimming and boating..A lovely home. and This is one of the most attractive places I've seen in visiting the Maine coast over the past 35 years!Owner response: It is always so heartwarming to hear from guests. I am so pleased that you and your friends enjoyed our guest house.

This is our second visit to Tom and Bonnie's little piece of paradise on Toddy Pond. This time we opted for the bigger Toad Hall since we planned on spending more time with the grandchildren and what a surprise to find the "Rustic Elegance" of this spacious and gracious place! The grandchildren were delighted with their own rooms and private bathrooms. The older girls loved the large loft twin beds which were brand new! The 'family' room was also a big hit with the younger set with it's music and movie library and stereo system. This time it was Toads and Frogs to count as there were many tasteful sketches and statues of frogs and toads scattered around the house (last time we stayed at Tom and Bonnie's "Bear's Den". Then it was bears to count. ) Outside we spent many a pleasant hour lounging on the huge waterfront deck watching our young grandson splash in the shallow water on the shore while the girls swam or paddled out to the yellow swimming raft. We listened to their muffled giggles and chatter over the sparkling water. I can't imagine a more pleasant way to spend the day. There was a nice canoe available for us here as well and two kayaks to rent if we liked. Acadia is always a must and we had a very enjoyable day trip hiking the trails. We were so happy to arrive 'home' to Toad Hall with it's amazing peace and quiet broken only by the call of the loons over the water. I think we'll keep coming here as long as we can.Owner response: I was so pleased to have this family return to Toddy Pond. It is always a pleasure to have repeats and fun to see the children grow. A glorious 3 weeks. The screen room is a marvel. While on the dock we saw Eagles (one circled right over us), Loons (came within 5 ft. of dock), large turtles, and a lot of other wildlife. We had a great time at this cottage. The house was in perfect condition, whith a beautiful location on the pond. Nice quiet setting with a screened porch for relaxing in the cool of the evening.
