What a great vacation!! The house was beautiful and the staff so welcoming and gracious!! Even better than the pictures!! The beach was uncrowned and beautiful!! Ocean world is right next door and the kids had an amazing time there!! We hope to return someday!! Thank you to mark and Chris and to the awesome staff!!!

I have been vacationing in Puerto Plata for the past 8 years on a regular basis and have always enjoyed the fun and beauty this area has to offer. Usually I would stay at a resort and have my friends who live in Dominican Republic pick me up to frequent the non tourist areas, bars, and restaurants. On this trip, because it was my 50th birthday, I decided to rent a villa so that my friends could stay and help me celebrate. I luckily stumbled upon "Villa Del Caribe" in Playa Cofresi. It is a beautiful majestic house that has been recently totally renovated. The rooms have very comfortable, pleasing furniture that blends beautifully with the Villa's character. It is located across from the beach and very near Ocean World which has a world class casino and restaurant. The staff at Villa Del Caribe were amazing. They cooked anything we asked and if we asked for something they couldn't cook, they went a bought it at a local place. Thank you for making my 50th birthday celebration a very special memory.

Dear Mark & Chris, First, I need to say WE SHALL RETURN! Our group wanted to pack up your entire staff and take them home! Villa de Caribe Rocks, (comment from the kids)! The older generation had to agree! Everything and everybody exceeded our expectations! The layout of the villa was extra-ordinary! We found ourselves being pleasantly surprised around every corner! What a vacation villa! We played a game wherein each of us discussed at breakfast everyday what we liked the most and the least! The balconies with the rocking wicker were mentioned each morning by the adults.The kids loved the gazebo and pool area. We liked least the fact that we were getting closer to leaving. Oh, the kids needed a towel rack in the powder room downstairs. We did not venture down to the beach often because we loved it from the balconies - what a view!!!! The gardens were so beautiful and well maintained, we took sooo many pictures! The food and housekeeping were outstanding! We were never disappointed with anything. Tks for the visit! I celebrated my birthday at Caribe and I look forward to scheduling many more with your wonderful staff at this fabulous villa. CONGRATS ON YOUR RENOVATION, job expertly done! Continued Success, Pat

We recently spent a week at this property and had a wonderful time. The house is situated convenient to the beach and has beautifully maintained grounds. The house, grounds, and pool area are in perfect condition and provide great privacy in the middle of this small town. The staff that are employed at the house are helpful, pleasant and first rate. This is a can't miss rental!

We had a wonderful time in Cofresi. We have been to Cofresi many times but this was our first time staying at this property. The property is beautiful and the location is prime. Just across from the beach and a few minutes walk to Ocean World and the Casino. The swimming pool was the perfect temperature to float in for hours at a time. There is a mini market and restaurants within a minutes walk. The staff was attentive and resolved any issue immediately. Bena prepared authentic meals that were wonderful. Everyone in our group had a marvelous time and we are already planning to return next year.

Second time better then the first.

This was our second time at this villa. My husband and I went by ourselves last year and decided to try something different than the all inclusive vacations we had done in the past. We fell in love with not just the villa but the area and the staff. This year we brought the kids. We were 5 in total and there was still room for more. All though you have to shop once a week for your food with the housekeeper/cook/angel which I found not to be an incovenience at all the service in the house can not even be remotely compared to an All Inclusive. As a matter of fact after a vacation like this you will most likely never do an All Inclusive again. I know we wont. Just to give you an example, my 2 oldest kids went ATVing and when they returned they were filthy but very happy. I let my daughter borrow my runners and I thought oh my there ruined, along with my sons runners as well. I don't know when or how it happened, but the next time we saw the shoes they looked brand new. Not to mention all of there clothes they were wearing that faithful day. This was my pivitol WOW moment in regards to service. The DR is huge for baseball, so if you are looking for gifts to give there anything baseball will be highly appretiated. We took down a couple bats, gloves and balls. Our kids used them while we were there and then we left them for the boys. For all the mom's out there who are looking for a truly carefree vacation this is the place for you.

Best villa in Cofresi beach

This Villa is amazing; the pool is beautiful as is the whole house. The villa's location is perfect; you are about 100 yards from the beach. There are a few stores in walking distance as is Chris & Mady's restaurant/bar which has great food and is conveniently located right next to the house. Don't forget Ocean World (right down the block) has a casino, night club, atm machine; you can swim with dolphins or sharks plus many other activities for family. Bena is an outstanding host; her cooking is some of the best food we ever had. There are also security guards on duty all night to watch over the Villa's. I would definitely recommend going on Quads or horseback riding, they take you through town and to the beach where there is beautiful scenery. Definitely would recommend this villa to all, and looking forward to stay again next year. Thank you Chris & Mark for a great vacation. Anthony

vacation in paradise

We were recently at Villa Caribe for 6 nights, 7 days. The weather was warm, with scattered Caribbean rains. We were welcomed warmly by the driver, Gabino, and then the Spanish-speaking house and kitchen helpers, Bena and Anna. Despite the fact that that Playa Cofresi is spackled with ex-pats and fluent English speakers, our moderate spanish speaking skills helped us tremendously. The area is not typically Dominican, nor is it all inclusive cookie cutter, like other places offered in the DR. It is rather secluded, so we felt like it was safe and private. We loved the uniqueness of the experience. We spent most of our luxurious relaxation time pool side, but the beach was inviting and cozy as well. We only ventured beyond the area on a handful of occasions. We enjoyed dining at the very hands-off (service wise) Chris and maddy's. We had many cocktails at Ahora, on the beach. We went fishing one day and caught a lovely Mahi Mahi. And we took a Jeep tour to the waterfalls. The Jeep tour was incredible, be prepared for some waterfall climbs and pretty serious adventure! Also beware the sales pitch for DR stuff along the way. We would all be thrilled to repeat this same vacation, or recommend it to a friend.

Time Past Ohhh To Quickly

Wonderful home and fantastic workers. Had a fabulous experience during our recent vacation. Everyone was so helpful. Comfortable home with lots of room, clean, and just great for my family of 3 teenagers. Walk across the street to the beach and right next door to Ocean World. Food was fun to try with a friendly cook/housekeeper. Experience the food market and downtown - both truly an eye-opener. Would never, ever drive in DR, let taxi do the riding. Only wish the water pressure was a bit more in the house, but that is the only drawback - just take turns taking a shower. Try the Ahora on the beach for mouth smacking wings and Chris and Maddy's for an excellent meal. The Pizza cafe plaza offers computers with internet for only $1 an hour. Some of the information in the house description needs to be updated and rates changed regarding taxi cost, etc. When touring, keep in mind that tips are appreciated. Went on the catamaran but found lots to see right in front of house with our own goggles - would not do that again. Definately would dune buggy/quad ride, jeep safari tour, and town tour. Ocean World was fun - not very big but enjoyed the visit. Casino is smaller than we expected - may have ventured out to Playa Dorado that had 3 casino's had we thought about it more. We will return to DR in the future ---
