A beautifully renovated antique gem with a new addition off the rear gives this home the best of both worlds. Central air-conditioning. The living room has a large plasma TV. There is an office adjacent to the living room with a day bed. The dining room has an exposed beam ceiling, round mahogany table and large window seat. The gourmet kitchen offers a six burner Viking stove and 48-inch Viking refrigerator, farmer's sink, natural stone counters and three seat island. The master has a king bed, cathedral ceiling, LCD television, walk-in closet, french door to deck, skylight and ceiling fan. A separate studio suite offers a king bed, cathedral ceilings, kitchenette, LCD television, ceiling fan, private bath and private patio accessed by french doors.
There are two additional bedrooms upstairs with queen beds, well appointed, with a large shared bath.

There is a five person outdoor hot tub, outdoor shower and extensive outdoor spaces to relax and play. There is about a half acre of fenced in yard space. The house is located about one-eighth mile from the top of Main Street (residential end) and less than a mile from the closest beach (Steps beach).

Lovely walk into Town for boutique shopping and fabulous restaurants. Ride your bikes to the beach down the Madaket bike path or over to the Cliff.

Maid service is included once a week for multi-week rentals. Tenants may have additional maid service by request, at their expense.

Spa bath robes and hair dryers are provided.

Non-smoking property.

  • We stayed at Dawn's lovely home in Oct. of 2008 and returned again in Oct. this year for a week. It is probably the nicest place we have stayed in our many years visiting Nantucket. Everything is so well matained. The decor is perfect and it is a very comfortable home.It worked very well for our family of 6. It is near wonderful biking trails and the walk to town is beautiful. A memorable vacation for us and we hope to be back.

  • Our family of five (children - 6, 4 and 2) stayed at Dawn's wonderful property in July 2009. The decor, ammenities, layout, and outside space were beautiful and perfect for our family with children. The property is well located on the island - close to town yet in a great spot to explore all the unique and spectacular beaches on the island. The owner was extremely helpful with any questions we had and we can't wait to book another vacation!

  • We made a specific visit to Nantucket in March of 2008 to decide which of 3 or 4 properties we wanted to rent for a 2 week September stay. It was an easy decision to make after viewing the property in person. The landscaped grounds, beautifully renovated house and guest cottage, as well as the overall amenities that are included are above and beyond similarly priced properties on island. If you like to cook, you will find this kitchen has everything you need! The owners are very accommodating and helpful, and I believe the fact that they are island residents makes a difference in the way the property is cared for. You'll see it too if you rent this house! Very convenient to Town and bike paths. Car not required. We're going back for our second year in September 2009.

  • Our stay at 23 Madaket Road was perfect. The home is immaculately kept and every fine detail of design is considered. The charm of this Nantucket cottage is one to remember. Dawn was a gracious host and made sure our stay was pleassant in every way. Walking or biking distance easily to town or bike to nearby beaches. Or better yet, enjoy the beautiful grounds and relax on the patio. We are definitely returning next year and plan to make our trip a yearly tradition...!

  • We stayed at Dawn's wonderful house in mid-June and found it to be sunny, wonderfully equipped, and in a great location. The kitchen, baths and bedrooms were very luxurious with spa-quality linens and professional appliances. The beautifully landscaped gardens were a joy to relax in and to observe and listen to the birds. We would gladly return, and highly recommend it. It would be great for a family with children because of the layout and the large yard. But it was perfect for us - 2 couples.
