Beautiful, spacious (over 5500 square feet) home in the heart of Westport, Connecticut. Westport is a beautiful water town, just under one hour from Manhattan. Westport has a fabulous beach and beach playground, this playground is in use all year round. Award winning golf course and sailing are also part of the Westport experience.
Convenient for commuting or just chilling out, this home is two minutes off the Merritt, five minutes from I-95 and the Westport train station. The Metro North train runs very frequently and is just around 60 minutes from Grand Central Station.
The house is fully furnished, the kitchen is completely stocked with the basics; fresh linens are provided for each rental, and we have it cleaned professionally and very nicely on a regular basis. The house is best suited for kids because we have everything set up, a nice-sized, fully equipped playroom with a kids table, six chairs, loads of toys, coloring stuff, dress up stuff, and a brand-new, state-of-the-art, enormous swing set in our almost two-acre backyard. We have deliberately kept the formal living area empty, and it currently holds a small basketball hoop and a bicycle, so kids can run around freely inside the house, this is especially useful in the winter months.
The house has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. It is custom-fit with many beautiful and luxurious amenities, especially the master suite with a brand new Jacuzzi tub and shower. The house has four fireplaces and a totally open floor plan - a layout ideal for comfortable hanging out while kids run loose freely. The house already has a pack-and-play on the main level to keep kids safe when you are doing stuff and a portable crib in the bedroom area up top with all linens, a mobile and a video monitor.
Also, one of the bedroom suites is on the other end of the house with a king bed and a full marble bath, so you could easily host a family (There is an empty room there too, so I could add another bed) and give them a seperate entrance/exit and some privacy.
The house has a full patio and also a screened-in patio that can be used for entertaining or just hanging out.
For electronics, the house has two large, brand-new Sony LCD TVs that are 42-inch or bigger, one in the great room and kitchen area, one in the master bedroom. Both TVs are hooked to cable and international satellite, and both have DVD/VCR players. The house is stocked with kids DVDs as well as some grown up stuff. All electronics in the house are high-end, Bang and Olufsen cordless phones that provide crystal clear reception. Bang and Olufsen MP3 and CD player where you could plug your i-Pod. The house is also enabled for wireless internet and we could negotiate leaving our laptop there for your temporary use as well.
