Centrally located on the stretch between Belmont Park and Pacific Beach, this is the safest and family friendliest part of Mission Beach.

I have spent the last five years living in Mission Beach and absolutely love it. For me, it will always be the top beach destination in one of the best beach cities in the World.

Great views, there are also lots of shops, food, music, fun bars/clubs in the area (up Garnet ave and down Mission blvd)
There is lots to see on the way down to the jetty. There are lots of volley ball and basket ball courts there or you can just walk to the end and watch the boats, sea lions and dolphins that go by.

Wed afternoon is a great place to be to enjoy the "OB vibe" (aka Hippies) After you enjoy the fresh dishes and fruits head down to the sand stone cliffs.
This is a great area to enjoy San Diego night life, see a bit of San Diego history or catch a baseball game
These two great locations are right next to each other so make a day of it. There are great places to eat in the Hillcrest are too
Great hiking and if you love nature you won't want to miss the indigenous torrey pine trees in the area and the marsh land were other indigenous plants and animals live

We LOVE San Diego and try not to miss a yr. I thought I had seen everything that I wanted to see but I was extra lucky this year. Aside from getting out to the ocean for week, I found a few great places like the Ocean Beach Farmer's Market!!! We picked up some great food there and ate it on the sand stone cliff. The kids loved the tide pools too. The set-up of the house was perfect. My son felt like it was his own house and we had the top floor and the ocean view. The view of the bay on the other side of the house wasn't that good but we didn't send that long in the bedrooms. For a 5br house there was much more room than I exected. The rooms are "beach size", meaning smaller than at home and we expected the living room to be "beach size" too but it's big enough for all of us to hang out with our friends. We used the garage and downstairs for the main event, my son's birthday party. The tile on the boys area was a life saver and the garage and kitchen area was exactly what we needed. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! See you next year I could not have asked for more Thank you Michelle
