Discover the Moorings; the most centrally located villa complex in Palmetto Dunes. It has proximity to the beach and no streets to cross to get to the ocean. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach house will find you on the widest and most beautiful beach on Hilton Head Island.
Behind our villa--20 feet from our double lanais--is the 11 mile lagoon system where kayaks, canoes and boats can be seen daily, along with blue herons and other wildlife. When you look out of the living room window it looks like you are right on the water. The view is gorgeous and can be seen from the lanai off the master bedroom (king size bed), the living room (sofa bed), and the lanai off the guest room (2 queen size beds) also. In the Moorings, this villa is the most up to date rental villa available and also has what I think you will agree is the most relaxing view from the bedroom lanais.
The complete renovation (finished in 2007) includes all New: beds, furniture, flooring, tiled bathrooms including new toilets, air conditioning, all stainless steel appliances, carpeting, cabinetry all with granite counter tops, paint, crown molding, doors,European style stackable washer/dryer,down to new pots and pans.......you can imagine how enjoyable it will be to stay in such a clean, totally updated villa for your next vacation. Each year since 2007 we have touched up paint where necessary along with multiple carpet cleanings throughout the rental season.
The pool is less than 50 feet from the front door. There is a cabana house with restrooms for your convenience. Your children will enjoy a short walk to the general store for candy and ice cream and you will enjoy the short walk to pick up the newspaper and grocery items. At this same corner is the Dunes outfitters where you can rent boats and bikes. They even have children's camps for kayaking and surfing. Here you will also find the tennis courts and the Robert Trent Jones clubhouse and practice facility (and great course by the way for all you golfers!). All of this within a 5 minute walk. The biking in Palmetto Dunes is phenomenal both on the bike paths and on the beach. The short distance to the beach means returning for drinks or short breaks is easy and convenient.
The Moorings provides the perfect vacation spot with all of the requisite activities. You will love this secret haven in Palmetto Dunes with low rental rates. These villas offer security (guard house) and privacy (bedrooms on each side of the living area) along with the peaceful, relaxed environment you are looking for on your vacation.
