- Pet Friendly : We LOVE dogs!, "HOWEVER" we are insistent that pets be friendly to other animals and people,freshly cleaned (48 hrs prior to arrival),no fleas,housebroken,well mannered,able to stay off furniture no clawing doors or chewing or barking and basically well behaved. Please make sure your pet fits within these guidelines. Limit 2 w/o charge. Over 2 will be charged $25.00 per day per pet. Pet owners are expected to pay for any pet damages period. Any animals not within guideline will be asked to relocate to a local kennel close to the area where you can drop off and pick up dogs on a daily basis. Sorry no kitties, the cougar eats them!

I work in medical home health care mostly hospice care with Cassie a medical service dog. My guest love her and she has saved a few from bears! As a young widow, I moved to the Aspen area to raise my son who is now away at college. After he left I started running a B & B and vacation rentals out of my house. I love making sure the guest have a great time and enjoy my home and the area.
Why the Owner Chose Carbondale
I moved to the Aspen area because of the outdoor recreation and the relaxed pace. I love Jeeping and taking guest camping,fishing or sightseeing if they want a tour and I'm available.
The Unique Benefits of this House
When I do get time off I love to work in the gardens on my property.I sometimes have a large organic veg. garden that I allow guest to pick their vegetables and salads from,some have even asked to work in it for fun and a few have even chopped wood. I guess that's fun to people who don't HAVE to do it. (-:

Re: Need help on the best places to visit in Colorado 18 May 2009, 23:09 I just stayed at a place close to Aspen and Glenwood Springs, and it was FABULOUS. First off, the property was amazing - 4 acres right on the river. Very secluded and beautiful, with hammocks and its own zip-line from tree to trampoline (haha). And there's so much to do nearby (although admittedly I didn't want to leave this place - I wanted to permanently move in!). There's the Glenwood hot springs pool, which is huge and has a couple of slides. There's Aspen, if you're into the high life, and there are tons and tons of hiking and biking trails. Some of Colorado's best trails are nearby: Hanging Lake, Maroon Bells, etc. OH! And the owner of the place took me on a jeep tour - the highlight of which was the Colorado carwash. All in all, a phenomenal trip, and I plan to go back again and again and again - actually as often as I can. Actually, I don't know why I'm writing this review, because if her place becomes too popular, she won't have room for me!! Her site is www.aspenontheriver.com.
