Our beautifully remodeled condo is located in the gated, beach front community of Pajaro Dunes.
Pajaro Dunes is known for its private 1.5 miles of beautiful, wide, flat sandy beach. Picture yourself taking an exhilarating walk on the beach while watching the waves crash and collecting sea shells, drift wood and sea glass. If you are lucky you might catch sight of migrating whales or a school of playful dolphins as they breech and splash. Come see the Shorebirds dining at the water's edge and the Pelicans flying in formation!
Pajaro Dunes is a 150 acre Gated, minimal impact, beach front community of luxury condominiums, townhomes and houses located on the beach of the Monterey Bay. You can access the stairwell to our beautiful beach literally 45 steps from our front door.
The southern exposure of our condo allows the sun to pour through our large picture windows throughout the day. Our private decks are protected from the wind. Start each morning watching the sunrise over the Pajaro Valley and its foothills from the windows of our dining room. End each day viewing a spectacular sunset off the LR and master BR windows.
The sound of the surf as you drift off to sleep in one of our comfy beds promotes a peaceful and restful night's sleep. The open floor plan of the condo's living space affords full view of stately cypress trees and peaceful swaying dune grass from every vantage point (entryway, kitchen, over-sized living room and formal dining area).
Pajaro is a bird watcher's paradise. Sit on one of our decks and enjoy watching playful humming birds as they visit our feeders or watch the local wild birds as they fly from tree to tree. Pajaro is home to Monterey Bay shorebirds, and the wild birds of Santa Cruz County. Year round our lagoon hosts wetland water foul and migratory visitors making their way up and down the coast.
For those who seek adventure or romance, there are many exciting places to visit within 30 minutes of Pajaro via Highway 1. The cities of Monterey, Carmel and Santa Cruz offer fine dining, scenic drives, world-class golf, roller coaster rides, whale watching, snorkeling and almost any fun activity you can imagine. We love our beach home and have made it a peaceful retreat from the stresses of everyday life. We are looking forward to sharing this special place with you.

What a wonderful place. We love the open floor plan, the place is clean, beautiful and spacious. We practically had the beach to ourselves and lots of seashells to collect. So close to everything yet you feel so far away from the crowds. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. We will be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We visited this lovely condo with my son, his wife and their two daughters (6 and 3 years). We have a history of staying at Pajaro Dunes for many Thanksgivings in the past, and this is by far and away the nicest unit we have ever stayed in. There was clearly remodelling that had been done--particularly in the kitchen and master bath. The kitchen was beautifully appointed and incredibly well supplied. The living room/dining room area was spacious and very comfortable for everyone to gather. Care was given by the owners to explain all the details of the stay by phone, by e-mail and via a printed list on check-in. Soap, paper products and linens were provided, and we even received a welcome gift of wine and bottles of bubble soap for the kids. The beach was right behind us, and there were ducks to feed, trees to climb, a grassy area nearby to play frisbee, and even a Pajaro store very close for incidentals. We spent a fun and relaxing weekend and would love to come stay again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This place is really a beautiful home and when you stay there, you feel like you are home. Pat has everything there you could want including things to dig in the sand with, beach towels, even a metal dish and logs so you can have an evening fire on the beach. We spent Father's Day weekend there and it was not only such a treat for my dad, but also for the whole family. We went out to eat one night and had great local seafood, and the next night we cooked at the house and had a feast. I would definitely recommend her place. You feel so far away from everything and relaxed, but it’s also only about 15 minutes to the grocery store and shops. We want to do this one again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

04/19/11 We loved Pajaro! Thank you! The weather didn't completely cooperate (the beach stayed foggy much of the weekend) but still, we enjoyed the beach and the duck pond, and of course the condo! Our daughter learned to crawl in the condo. Forever I will hold a special place in my heart for this vacation and location. Hope to do it again next year. 05/24/11 Positive Pat, We so enjoyed staying at your place and it worked perfect for our "girls" weekend. Your condo is well equipped, beyond clean and tidy and very cozy. Even though there is not an ocean view we all appreciated the privacy and the dune type feel. When we opened all three of the glass sliding doors the nice ocean breeze and smell provided a very soothing and relaxing atmosphere. Being right on the beach was such a treat and our morning beach walks were some of the top highlights of our trips. The location of the condo worked out great too with the opportunity to easily explore Santa Cruz and Monterey. The gift of the bottle of wine was greatly appreciated and I'm still trying to figure out how you figured out peanut butter cups are my favorite candy treat! Making the arrangements for your condo was very easy and all your instructions were very helpful. Again, thanks a bunch and hope to stay at your condo again in the future. We had a very quiet and relaxing time at Pajaro Dunes. The condo at Shorebirds 103 was beautifully kept and decorated; all the amenities of home. The beach, just steps away, was clean and private. We saw more wildlife than people! One afternoon we were treated to a seal sighting and several dolphins playing in the waves. The owner, Pat, was very helpful in her directions to Pajaro Dunes. Thank you for the recommendation for Phil's Fish House. We liked it so much, we ate there twice! Be sure to read through Pat's binder of info, very helpful for attractions and local markets/restaurants etc. We hope to return to Pajaro Dunes in the future!Did you find this review helpful? We stayed at the SeaGlass condo with my folks in celebration of my mother's 80th birthday. Great location just 75 steps from the beach dunes with plenty of room with the three bedrooms and the very large living room and dining room. The place was very well taken care of, very clean and modern kitchen that we took advantage of and overall excellent accommodations for the weekend. Arrangements with Pat were easily done and she is a real joy to deal with and very responsive. We visited our daughter and family in Sacramento and spent 3 nights/4days here ---- the entire time was wonderful! The condo was immaculate, well stocked (even had all the soaps and paper goods and spices available), super close to the beach, quiet, and spacious. The window seat became a frequent reading area for the grandkids, and the large cedar tree just outside the window gave us perfect birdwatching opportunities. I would highly recommend the location as well as this particular condo. And Pat, you were very helpful with all your information over the phone and available in the condo. Hopefully, we will be able to return to Pajaro Dunes and enjoy everything again next year. Our time at the beach was delightful with the kids,especially with all your the shovels and toys. It's a short jaunt to Monterey Aquarium and that's a spectacular place. We packed a picnic and enjoyed a waterfront lunch in a local park there. Many good memories for all of us! Sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you in regard to our stay at the Pajaro Dunes Condo. We had some great family time and a wonderful stay at the condo. We found the condo to be very clean and the finishes were up to date. We appreciated you sharing your beach toys/shovels with my family. It was very convenient to have a washer and dryer as well as the kitchen. You were very accommodating with the BBQ briquettes, fire log, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. I also appreciated the advise on where to eat as we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at Shadowbrook. I hope that I didn't bother you too much with my phone calls. My only complaint would be that not all people honor the designated quiet time rules and the people above us woke up up early a couple of days.
