Nestled amongst pines, live oaks and oleander, OCEAN PINES offers a private, tranquil setting, yet is conveniently located. This home is sunny and bright, but also offers shaded areas for comfort. The Whalehead Community feels open and spacious with all homes built on large 20,000 sq. ft. lots. This home features 3 master bedrooms with upscale private baths, 2 additional bedrooms with a hall bathroom, a game room with a comfortable sleep sofa and full bath, and a custom half-bath near the great room. "Ocean Pines" is very modern, but has the feel of a comfortable cottage. The owners take pride in on-going maintenance and improvements.
Guests enjoy everything from the ELEVATOR to the LARGE POOL to the fiestaware in the kitchen. Upscale furnishings, artwork, window treatments and decorations abound. You will even find carved and painted fish "swimming" around the walls of the ground-level rec room.
The beach is an easy, direct walk from this corner lot (900' to the beach access).
Whalehead beaches are wide and lifeguards are on duty during the summer months.
The Whalehead community is convenient to shopping, with the Timbuck II center, Montery Plaza, Food Lion and the upscale Harris Teeter market all within a few miles. Currituck Lighthouse, Corolla Village, the historic Whalehead Club (a restored, soundfront 1920's mansion), the museum park, as well as the new nature center are all about a half mile from the cottage - a nice bike ride!
