Two levels of wrap around decks provide open and covered relaxation with private pool, hot tub, grill, picnic table, chairs and lounges. Community amenities include a private Ocean front and Lake side pool, 8 Acre stocked lake with dock, private tennis courts, private playground, private basketball court, beach and sound access. The new fitness center is available for a fee. ****New 55' LCD Flat Panel TV installed in the Great Room for you and your family to enjoy! Your family will also enjoy the extensive DVD movie collection! There is also a 46' LCD Flat Panel TV installed in the Master Bedroom.

Additionally, soap, shampoo and toilet paper will be placed in every bathroom. All bed linens and bath towels are provided. Beds (except top bunks) are made the day of your arrival. This is an Owner's Update and not a review. I am glad to announce that we have installed a new 46" LCD Flat Screen TV in the Great Room over the fireplace for your enjoyment in 2009! I will be posting updated pictures soon. Happy Vacation!Owner response: I am glad to announce that we have also replaced and upgraded the mattresses in both master bedrooms for the 2009 season, to enhance your sleeping experience while on vacation. We have also installed a new washer and dryer for the 2009 season! Happy Vacation!

I just spent a great week in Corolla at Anchors Away. The home is very close to the beach a very brief walk. The home is very clean and well equip with everything you can think of...the kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. TV's in every room, air conditioning works great, the pool is very clean and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property to any family looking for a relaxing vacation. Cons: Nothing the home was well equip with all the extras....they thought of everyone (maybe a float for the pool...but that is about all)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house was in a perfect location......only a few minutes walk to the beach and had plenty of room for a mid-sized family or 2 small families. The decks were amazing with, virtually, a panoramic view and we could even see and hear the ocean from it! Great place to stay and we would rent it again.Did you find this review helpful? I loved the house and it really met our needs! We also loved how close it was to the beach! In NY we all have gas grills so I was surprised to find only a charcoal grill. No big deal but you might want to let out-of-staters know that they will need charcoal and lighter fluid too. I have always tried to bring as much from home as I can to make things easier. It is a beautiful house and reasonably priced so we hope to possibly come back. Our 4 girls said to me just today that they miss Anchors Away. Thank you very much! The updated kitchen/family room was great. We really enjoyed the bumper pool table. The couch could have been more comfortable. The master bed room was cozy and we could hear the ocean while we were sleeping. The many decks surrounding the home provided many relaxing options. The hot tub was clean and ready to go. One of the best features....the linens were on the beds upon arrival and the check out procedures were clearly documented and not at all a burden.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: I live in Northern Virginia just outside Washington, DC. As a second job I'm managing, together with my husband, our vacation home. This is our secret place where we spend our regenerative holidays in a marvelous natural setting away from daily chaos. We have upgraded our vacation home every year, putting all our loving care into making every stay more comfortable, unique and memorable. We decided to share our home with other families for now, so they can also enjoy the natural pristine beauty of the Outer Banks. I love to know when people from across the country come and appreciate our beautiful resort community and feel at home when they stay in our house: that's my greatest satisfaction!
