Our family loved Carillon Beach...we especially loved the house Carribean Dreamin' . This house was wonderful for our family of 13, ages 2 1/2 to 67. There was plenty of room for 8 adults and 5 children to have their own space. We are a cooking family and the kitchen had everything we needed, which was a big plus...including two ice machines, and a pantry to store everything. Plenty of space to all sit and dine as a famiy also. The pictures of Carribean Dreamin' were exactly accurate...beautiful space and beautiful decor. We definately felt at home...porch sitting, very comfortable beds, washer/dryer, and plenty of linens. The view from the tower room was awesome. I can honestly say that everything about this experience was positive for our whole family. The location was also perfect for the beach and the pool...both just steps away. Carillon Beach is a quiet, beautiful community. We loved having a Shipwreck store there...we loved Castaways (walking distance) and some of the ladies even had a massage from the spa and we didn't leave the community. We will definately be going back and will recommend Carribean Dreamin' to everyone we know!

Great Vacation! 10 of us stayed comfortably in this house. The house is very nicely decorated and the Kitchen had everything we needed for our Easter Dinner as well as our shrimp boil. The extra ice maker was a big plus as well. We loved the grocery being so close as well. The walk to the beach was very easy, this is where we spent most of our time. One of the pools was just as close. Panama City Beach is beautiful! I think that this house is in a great location. We we able to walk or golf cart around the community and enjoy all that Carillon has to offer. Castaway's was a great gathering place when we did not feel like cooking. One of my great memories from this trip was being able to head out to our front door for our evening porch parties! Carillon Beach is a great place to slow down, relax and enjoy friends and family.

I'm sorry it took me so long to write a review. The house was the perfect size for our family, my three sons, daughter-in-laws and six grandchildren ranging in age from 2-21. The location was great. We were there for a 50th wedding anniversary for my sister-in-law and her husband. There were over 100 of us and after listening to the nightmares of the others who rented houses, I feel we were very lucky to have gotten Caribbean Dreamin. The house could have been a little cleaner, my daughter-in-laws cleaned when we got there and again before we left. The only thing I was disappointed in was we didn't have access to the ice machine which was broken when we got there. The repair man didn't get there until the end of the week, but it was a holiday week so I understand. I would not think twice about renting this place again. It was close to the pool. It was quiet at night. Overall it was perfect.
Owner response:As the owners, we were disappointed to hear that the previous cleaning effort was lacking. Among property owners, cleaning services are an ongoing problem. We have changed cleaning services in an effort to see that this doesn't happen again.

We just got back from a weeks stay at Caribbean Dreamin' (June 2011) and had a wonderful time. Our group consist of ages from two years old up to almost 80. The littles ones loved the pools clean and well maintained. Teenagers loved the beach skim boarding and sleeping in the tower. We all enjoyed the big front porch and would highly recommend to anyone!

We have rented Caribbean Dreamin' for our annual family vacation three times. Our experience with the house and the community could not have been better. The information in the VRBO ad was accurate in describing the property. The house is located a short walk to the pool and to the beach access. The community is beautiful and quiet. It is very family friendly. The owner was quick in responding to my emails and addressing any concerns I had. There is plenty to do in the area, since PCB is very close by. The property was very clean and provided a great atmosphere for family time. We really love it.

Our daughter chose Carillon Beach for her wedding and we chose Caribbean Dreamin' as our home to stay in for the week precluding her wedding. She could not have made a better choice. What a beautiful community! The home itself has been/is well taken care of and is very comfortable. We had ten adults and one child in our party and had plenty of room for everyone. Caribbean Dreamin' is perfectly situated within the community and it's proximity to the beach and pools could not be any better. The community itself is private, guarded, and quiet with plenty of space (and peace) on the private beach and is situated ten minutes from the new airport, five minutes from Pier Park, and approximately 45 minutes from shopping in Destin. Wendell was absolutely wonderful in keeping us up-to-date on various issues precluding our visit (Gulf oil spill being one of them) which made our whole experience more pleasurable and worry free. We plan on re-visiting Caribbean Dreamin' many more times in years to come (without the stress of a wedding of course). Wendell and Laura, you have a beautiful home and it was a pleasure meeting the two of you. .

Caribbean Dreamin' worked out perfectly for our trip to the beach. With nine people in the house, everyone felt like they had room to stretch out and relax. Our 12 year old loved the bunk bed with the drawers underneath and built in reading light. I would have called it sleeping in a hallway, but he seemed to enjoy it. Our friends' 14 year old slept on the fold out couch in the crow's nest with a view of the ocean. My mother and father in law stayed in the bedroom on the ground floor, which saved them a lot of stair climbing. The walk to the beach is pretty short- less than two blocks. The only maintenance issues were a couple of clogged drains, which the maid promptly fixed, and some burned out light bulbs. If I had to point out a downside, it is that the house backs up to Front Beach Road at the edge of the Carillon development. This made it hard to maintain the illusion that you are surrounded by the perfect little Carillon community when all you see out the back porch is the Winn-Dixie parking lot.
Owner response:There is only one residential lot between our house and the beach access, so saying the house is 'less than 2 blocks' away from the beach access is accurate but misleading. It only takes me 77 steps to walk the distance. The bunk beds were designed for children and not for adult enjoyment. We're pleased the 14 year-old confirmed the designer's purpose. Illusions can only go so far. Once you leave the neighborhood, welcome back to the real world!

Caribbean Dreamin' is exactly as advertised, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! The location is almost perfect. The only thing better would be staying on the beach. This house is a short walk to the beautiful beach, and an even shorter walk to a heated pool. Be sure to bring your own beach towels, since these are not provided. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and do whatever, and a large family room/dining room to gather and discuss the days activities. If you choose to cook, everything you need is there. The pictures really don't do Caribbean Dreamin' justice; it is much nicer. Wendell was extremely helpful with recommendations and info about Carillon Beach activities. A Winn Dixie is very convenient, just a short walk away. I have recommended this property to other family members and friends looking for a place to stay in FL. Panama City shopping and attractions are a short 20 minute drive. Great dining and activities like bicycling in communities on 30-A like Alys Beach, Seagrove, Seaside, and Watercolor are just 20 to 40 minutes away. Destin is a bit farther, maybe 45 minutes, but plenty of great dining and activities to enjoy. We had great dining at Bud & Alley's, and Great Southern Cafe in Seaside, Captain Anderson's in Panama City, and Louisiana Lagniappe in Destin. We decided to rent a golf cart from Panama City Golf Carts, I highly recommend. This made trips to tennis courts, beach front pool, and town a breeze. There are plenty of places to park carts wherever you go. We had a wonderful family trip with many fond memories. We are already planning our next trip to Carillon Beach. Thank you Dennison's for sharing your beautiful home!

Our family stayed in this home when our daughter got married almost 6 yrs ago and knew it would be perfect for our holiday get together, and it was. The house has everything you need except food to stay for a week. The beach is just a short walk. We had 8 adults and 7 kids in our party and room for all. If we need a place in this area again we would pick this home again.

I have been very remiss in thanking you for a wonderful visit to “paradise.” Our party of nine included ages 2-82 and four generations. We were all amazed at all of the planning and attention to comfort that had been provided in “Carribean Dreamin’” We literally fell in love with everything and will be hard pressed to return to a condo. The convenience of the pool, the beach, and the grocery (which I visited everyday) was all that one could ask. My six year old grandson took afternoon naps on the hammock. The downstairs bedroom was just what my mother needed as she has had mobility problems since 2006 strokes. My husband was a fan of the front porch. We literally had Carillon Beach to ourselves. My favorite part was taking my beach chair to the edge of the water while reading—you just can’t get any better than that. I am considering retiring after 40 years in education in May of 2010. My husband and I have always dreamed of spending a month in Florida during the winter. While we won’t need a four bedroom house, I am hoping that we can find something at Carillon Beach. I cannot wait to go back!!

This home provided an excellent vacation for our whole family. It has every amineity one needs. The home is spacious, warm and comfortable. Each bedroom is perfect size. The master bedroom and bath was incredible. Our family favorites was the four differnt porches and the wonderful day and evening spent relaxing and laughing together. This was the first time we rented directly from a properity owner and Wendell made it a wonderful and "easy breezy" experience. You will have the time of your life as we did for our family vacation 2009.

We stayed here for a week with our extended family. Excellent location, close to the beach and to the east-side pool. Beautifully decorated, light and cheery place. The books, games and internet access were appreciated when we had a couple of rainy days....unfortunately we are now addicted to Rummicube!

Property was amazing and away from the town. This was in a really quiet location and was perfect for us as a group. I am so glad that we weren't staying closer to town. House was absolutely brilliant with everything you could ever need. Just looking at the pictures today has made me want to come back!

This was our second visit to this home in Carillon Beach, FL. We LOVE the community! It is a quaint, quiet neighborhood that is very safe and friendly. The house has been perfect for extended-family vacations. It's location to the beach and pool is one of our favorite aspects. We also love being able to set up our things on the beach and leave them there safely for the week without anyone bothering them. Beautiful home and community!
Owner response:Mark and Becky have been our guests twice and we're thrilled they enjoy themselves so much. Guests like them are what making our house available to others is all about.

We spent 2 fabulous weeks in March at Caribbean Dreamin. There was plenty of space for the family to spread out - we never felt crowded. The games & books are a great personal touch. The pool is only a few steps away - close enough you can let your young children walk by themselves. And the gulf view from the 3rd floor is pretty for sunrises & sunsets. We will definately be back for more wonderful memories !!
