This beautiful, well equipped classic Maine summer cottage has been in the family for generations and is filled with happy family memories. It is fully equipped, spacious and comfortable, inside and outside. There is no better place on earth than the front porch as the sun goes down and casts its light on the hulls of the yachts anchored in the harbor.
FIRST FLOOR: Inviting, comfortable living room with oversized fireplace (stocked wood box), games galore (including bumper pool table), two seating areas, bookshelves filled with classics and contemporary books. Picture window looks out to the harbor and islands beyond. Formal dining room, picture window out to harbor and islands. Old fashioned pantry. Eat-in country kitchen, fully stocked with utensils, dishes, pots and pans, cable TV with DVD. Downstairs bedroom off kitchen has twin beds; bathroom with shower off pantry. Large front porch for eating and lounging. Enclosed back porch with washer/dryer. Charcoal grill off kitchen.
SECOND FLOOR: Four bedrooms, two in front of house with ocean views, each with its own bath; two in back of house, one with sleeping porch. Bedroom 1: double bed, bath with shower. Bedroom 2: queen bed, bath with tub. Bedroom 3: double bed, enclosed sleeping porch off of it with twin beds (ideal for children). Bedroom 4: twin beds, two dressers. Bedrooms 3 and 4 each has a sink for washing up. All sinks are white porcelaine in excellent condition. Shared bath for bedrooms 3 and 4 off upstairs hall has shower. Another enclosed small porch with desk off front bedrooms.
Maximum number of people is ten.
All linens provided with house including sheets and towels. Beds are made up clean when you arrive.
Outside, lawn slopes down to 75 feet of ocean shoreline with small pebble beach and rocks for young children. Large deep water dock, swimming ladder. Enjoy spectacular views of the harbor and Tumbler, Squirrel, and Fisherman's Islands from the dock's benches, the porch, living room, dining room, and two front bedrooms. Pick fresh flowers from the garden.
ENTRANCE: Driveway brings you to face the garage; house is down the slope on left.
ONE MILE from bustling Boothbay Harbor for restaurants, shopping, bookstore, library, art galleries, and regular concert series. Within one hour (easy day trips) are extensive hiking, antique shops, more art galleries.
BOATS AVAILABLE: Two sea kayaks and one double kayak, plus two mountain bikes available to use at house. (Bicycling is challenging: terraine is hilly and roads are narrow and busy.) Other boats may be rented in town, and can be tied up at the dock during rental period.
AMBIENCE: This is a classic Maine cottage, comfortable, much-loved and well-used, ideal for a few families or a family reunion. Absolutely no smoking.

* All rates are for 10 people. The house can sleep up to 12 people in beds.
There is a $100 per person, per week surcharge for each person over 10,
and an absolute maximum of 12 people. $300 refundable damage deposit.
