Waterfront 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house on Lake Hickory, Taylorsville, NC, sleeps six. This 12 year old home, which sits on 1.8 acres, offers beauty & seclusion on Lake Hickory. The property is approximately 15 minutes from the town of Hickory. There is 100 feet of waterfront with a floating dock, so bring your favorite watercraft. The house is set very high on the property which lends itself to spectacular views, especially sunsets, from the two decks and patio. However, there are 70 steps down to the dock - the price of a view.
This home is our retirement home, and is not a "party house". A strict limit of six people maximum is enforced.
Lake Hickory is over 4200 acres in size. Pontoon boats and small fishing boats are available for rent right on the Lake.
Boating (motor, sail, canoe, kayak), jet-skiing, water-skiing, swimming, fishing are all allowed on Lake Hickory. A public boat launch is three miles away. The Riverbend Park is about six miles away and offers hiking and biking trails and canoeing all along the Catawba River.
Relax and enjoy a cup of coffee on either deck overlooking the Lake, or watch the sunset in the evening. Soak up some rays or venture out. For our Fall visitors, the foliage is breathtaking.
The town of Hickory offers golf, miniature golf, NASCAR racing, an arcade & entertainment center for kids, movies, the Hickory Furniture Mart and lots of restaurants and shopping. Numerous other activities exist in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and in the Mountains of Western NC.
High speed access & satellite tv are included.
Please note: Sorry, but pets are not allowed. However, owner does have a dog so please be sure that no one is allergic to dogs before renting this property. House is not "child-proof" and the person signing the contract must be a minimum of 28 years old to rent this propety. Thank you.
