This secluded, yet very modern house is located in the historic gold mining town of Jardine, Montana. It is only 5 miles from the town of Gardiner, Montana and the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

The nearest airports are located in Bozeman (about 90 minutes away) and Billings, about 2.5 hours. The house offers a complete kitchen and has 3 bedrooms, a master with a beautiful king size log bed that includes its own bath and TV, and the other rooms include a queen size log bed and a bunk bed in the other room. The rest of the house consists of a separate bath, dining room and laundry facility as well.

Outside we have one of the most amazing decks you will ever see. It is a 4 level deck (yes! That’s right, four levels) that also includes a jacuzzi enclosed within the gazebo. The beautiful, hand-crafted 2300 square foot deck wraps around the house and offers magnificent mountain views far into Yellowstone Park and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness area. You have a super view of Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone!

From below the deck you can see and hear the fast running water of Bear Creek where gold was first discovered in 1866. From the lower deck you also have a great view of the old gold mining town of Jardine. Whether you are looking for peace and quiet or a place to concentrate then this is the place to be. It is secluded yet it is so close to all the happenings in Gardiner and Paradise Valley and of course Yellowstone. This place truly offers the best of both worlds. Most guests have a hard time leaving my place as they love the peace and quiet of the mountains. My place is secluded and quiet with NO neighbors ! Getting away from everybody is one reason your on vacation! You have my promise that I will do whatever I can to assist you in any way I can, I will gladly help you to make this your best vacation. I can offer advice on where to visit from where to eat or shop. Being from the South, I am a firm believer in southern hospitality. JARDINE ONLY HAS A POPULATION OF ABOUT 40!(WE HAVE MORE HORSES THAN PEOPLE!) WITH MY PROPERTY YOUR ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN LOOKING DOWN ON ALL THE SPLENDOR! WE ARE AT ABOUT 7,000' FEET! 2. BEAR CREEK- YOU CAN HEAR THE WATER RUSHING BY AND IT IS SO RELAXING, ALSO A GOOD AREA TO VIEW WILDLIFE AND YOU CAN ALSO TRY YOUR LUCK AND PAN FOR GOLD! A SHORT WALK FROM THE HOUSE THAT PROVIDES A GOOD SPOT TO ENJOY A PICNIC!

3. THE DECK- A QUIET PLACE FOR A MORNING CUP OF COFFEE, 4 LEVELS THAT OFFER GREAT VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS AND THE DECK IS A IDEAL SITE TO GRILL AND EAT, ENTERTAIN OR EVEN READ A BOOK. AT NIGHT THE DECK HAS BEAUTIFUL LIGHTING THAT MAKES IT STAND OUT EVEN MORE! ALSO A GOOD PLACE TO TAKE PICTURES OR VIEW THE STARS AT NIGHT! BRING YOUR CAMERA!

5. CLOSE TO YELLOWSTONE- THE ENTRANCE TO THE PARK IS ONLY 5 MILES AWAY, BUT WITH THE SUPER VIEWS YOU CAN SEE 20-30 MILES INTO YELLOWSTONE ON A CLEAR DAY! PLUS YOU ARE CLOSE TO THE ABSAROKA BEARTOOTH WILDERNESS AREA AS WELL, WHERE YOU CAN ALSO HIKE AND FISH.

8. WILDLIFE- FROM MY PLACE I HAVE SEEN BEARS, ELK, DEER, MOOSE AND MY FAVORITE IS THE EAGLE. ONE DAY LAST YEAR I COUNTED 31 DEER AND ELK ON THE PROPERTY AT ONE TIME!

  • What a perfect vacation! We've always used VRBO and have never been disappointed. This place exceeded our expectations! The view from the huge deck (and hot tub) is amazing. Zabun was the perfect host. If you had any questions, he had answers. We loved the privacy of this cabin and the sound of the water running down Bear Creek. We only drove into the park 3 days because it was so nice to just relax on the deck. In the park we saw 7 grizzly bears, 6 black bears, 1 wolf, tons of elk and buffalo, prong horn, mule deer, mountain goats, bald and golden eagles -- even saw a grizzly bear and her cub dining on a deer (which believe it or not, did not gross me out). Our only regret was that we were only there for one week. If you are at all like me (searched for the perfect place for months and booked a year in advance), I promise you that you will not be disappointed!

  • We stayed during the first week of June. We could see snow-capped mountains in 3 directions. Plus we could see the steam rising from Mammoth Hot Springs inside Yellowstone. Hike up the hill behind the house and disappear into the Gallatin National Forest. Very comfortable home. Great place to relax and recover from a day of hiking and exploring Yellowstone NP, especially with the hot tub!

  • My family & I spent the week of August 24th, 2008, at the Z. Burton home in Jardine, Mt. Our family consists of two adult sons, one daughter-in-law, one soon to be daughter-in-law, my wife, and myself. We all enjoyed our stay in the home alot. Each day we used the residence as a base of operations for visiting Yellowstone Park returning to the home later each day usually enjoying the hot tub after the days activities. We found the house to be very clean, well-stocked with our needs, and decorated in a tasteful manner. Mr. Burton was very attentive offerring suggested activities to do and things to see while in Jardine & Yellowstone. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy Big Sky Country in close proximity to Yellowstone.

  • I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Burton for the wonderful time we spent in his home for the last couple of weeks! After spending almost a year researching the North Yellowstone area I can say that my family & I couldn't have picked a better place to spend our vacation! After a full day exploring Yellowstone and the surrounding areas (most right around the cabin!) it was wonderful to come "home" to the house in Jardine! No neighbors, no touristy atmosphere here! Just a big hot tub and relaxation!! I have rented many vacation properties over the years & my husband and I have to say this was one of the most wonderful & best experiences we have had. Mr. Burton was so helpful and was always available to answer our questions regarding local attractions, fishing or whatever came to mind. His caretaker, Ron, was a also very accommodating. This home also has the most fantastic views in Montana! What a sight to wake up to every morning while sipping coffee on the deck!   • AWESOME!!! I would encourage anyone wanting to vacation in the Yellowstone area to check this place out! The views are unbeatable, you are only 15 minutes from Yellowstone, your stay is nothing but peace and quiet (unlike staying at a campground), the place is kept up nice and neat, and Z. Burton, the host, will do anything to help your stay be a most memorable one. His suggestions on what to do in the area are great and he even helped me when my van had a flat tire. The jacuzzi is great after a day of exploring and the deck is amazing! Give this one a try! You WON'T regret it! My family had great fun!

  • We had a great time here, the week went by way too fast. The house was very nice hugh deck. The hot tub was so relaxing. The view from the house was so awsome. Mr. Burton treated us like famly willing to help any way he could with a smile and a hand shake. If your going to Yellowstone this is the place to stay we will be back.

  • Staying here was one of the best things we did for our vacation. We were able to drop into the park everyday and see a new sight. Return home in the evening and enjoy the hot tub and decks. We spent early mornings on the deck enjoying the views. We can't wait to return in a couple of years!

  • My husband and I spent a week on this property and had the best vacation ever! The views stated in the ad did not begin to describe the breath taking views and peaceful spirit of this cabin. We fully enjoyed our stay...content to take in the local surroundings or relax at the cabin. We enjoyed morning dips in the jacuzzi while watching deer graze, read books while enjoying the decks, and truly embraced the peacefulness of this cabin. Don't forget your binoculars while staying at this cabin! Our host Z. Burton was gracious, down to earth, and always willing to answer a question about a local sight. This vacation was truly a vacation without the hassles, massive numbers of people, and intrusions.
