Our two-story, two bedroom condo is nestled among the Ponderosa Pines at 8500' within 300 yards of the main ski lifts at Angel Fire Resort. Angel Fire, at the southern end of the beautiful Moreno Valley, is New Mexico's premier family ski resort.
With 70 trails, 50% snowmaking coverage, and the only two high speed quad lifts in New Mexico, it is only eight minutes from the base to the summit on the front side of the mountain and five minutes on the back. Children's Ski School, Snowboard Terrain Park, and 19 km of groomed Nordic trails at the summit grace this beautiful ski resort directly across the valley from Mount Wheeler, New Mexico's highest peak (13,161'). Four other ski resorts, including Taos Ski Valley (36 miles), are within 60 miles.
Our condo sleeps up to seven persons comfortably. Master bedroom offers queen-size bed and full bath/shower combination. Second bedroom sleeps two in twin beds with full bath/shower combination. Pull-out couch and overstuffed pull-out chair sleep three in front of the fireplace in the Great Room with attached half bath.
The Gold Dust Condominiums, only 21 units, offer contemporary styling and furnishings and are consistently rated among Angel Fire's best. Fireplace, with firewood stacked near the door, and cable TV insure comfort and enjoyment apres-ski. Gourmet restaurant, the Roasted Clove, and a pizza parlor are within one block. Four other restaurants are within a two block walk.
In summer, Angel Fire offers a temperate alpine climate with low humidity, PGA approved 18 hole golf course flanked by mountain views, and access to many recreational areas in northern New Mexico's Sangre de Christo Mountains. Superb fishing is available in nearby lakes and streams. Local stables offer escorted trail rides by the hour, the day, or overnight.
The resort is well-known for mountain biking events, and offers easy access to Taos, Taos Pueblo, Eagle's Nest, Red River, Cimarron, the Colorado River, Chama, Abiquiu, and other places of interest in northern New Mexico & southern Colorado. The Angel Fire Balloon Festival offers sightseers a beautiful spectacle against the backdrop of pine covered mountains in July each year.
Angel Fire Music Festival, held the last two weeks of August, offers nationally recognized classical musicians and advanced students an opportunity to perform in concert in a relaxed atmosphere. Each fall the aspens turn golden yellow clustered amidst the green backdrop of Ponderosa Pines and western spruce.
Come to Angel Fire and leave hot and humid summer temperatures behind for a weekend, a week, or a month! Seniors welcome. We honor AARP on our standard rates in spring, summer, & fall. |
