This is a great condo and working with the owner was a pleasure. The condo is in an outstanding location, you can easily see and hear the ocean, but yet you are high enough to have privacy from the courtyard area. All of the rooms were clean and well maintained; the free wireless internet access was helpful as always. There was some construction being done at the facility, which the owner was very up front and open about and provided status updates prior to arrival as to any implications it may have on the stay. The overall location of the facility is outstanding, especially if you enjoy water activities; the snorkeling is fantastic, no need to pay for a tour when you have an “aquarium” off of the beach. There are ample items that you can rent if you like, from snorkeling gear to surfboards. Black Rock is only a couple of hundred yards away which provides a nightly sunset event, with the traditional lighting of the torches and cliff dive. If you want to do a day trip to another island, the West Maui airport is a short 5-10 min drive away with easy access in/out. The city of Lahaina is also only a short drive away if you want to pick up groceries or anything else that you may need. My experience and stay was very worthwhile and I would recommend this condo and owner.

We LOVED your condo! It was the best unit we have ever stayed in at The Whaler. Your unit had everything we could have needed during our stay. We especially loved being so close to ocean front and our view was spectacular. This was our first time being there in March and we could see whales spouting from the lanai! The beach activities desk was very helpful in setting up our whale watching and it was GREAT! We plan on going back and your condo is at the top of our list!

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your Whaler unit! It was one of the most well equipped units we have ever stayed in. We have stayed in a number of condos on four islands, including 3 at the Whaler and yours was one of the best! We found it very clean and comfortable. Everyone liked the cushy, comfy, clean carpet. Being a "no-shoes in the house" family, we had no problem removing them in your unit. We spent our first week at the Honua Kai because no one at the Whaler had availability for our entire time frame or would not consider less than 2 weeks which didn't include both Christmas and New Year's. The irony there is, three of those units looked empty during our entire stay. In my opinion, you do this right! Flat rate, flexible dates! Thank you. I know you would have preferred us to stay a week. We had both places for one night as it was so really appreciate your flexibility! The Honua Kai was very nice and new but I still prefer the Whaler and your unit. We could really spread out once we switched locations even though it is only one bedroom. We also enjoyed the orientation of your unit in the complex and proximity to the water and view. We have never stayed on the inside of either tower. Thanks again for the opportunity to stay in your unit. We will be sure to recommend it to other people.

This unit was much more beautiful than the photos could show! The view is amazing. You can actually sit inside on the couch and pretty much have a full ocean view of all the fun activities on Kaanapali beach-boats, swimming, parasailing, etc. The owner is so helpful and easy to deal with. I loved having our own huge private lanai with ample furniture and lovely shade. We ate most of our meals here and relaxed. For your info-There are lots of books to read, 3 beach chairs, and many cooking staples and toiletries that I assume were left by guests. Check it out before you go to the store. All the employees of the Whaler that we had contact with were very nice.
