Location: Cohasset, South of Boston, Massachusetts, USA (20 miles south of Boston, 42 miles north of Cape Cod)

Accommodations:  House, 4 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 1.5+ Baths (Sleeps 9-10)

Beach house perfect for relaxed family get-togethers located directly on it's own child-friendly private beach in the quiet seaside village of Cohasset. Magnificent views of Boston's entire north shore and Boston Light. Sunrises and sunsets over the water. 3 steps from the deck and you are on your own private beach. 2.5 acre property is at the end of a quiet private lane. 2 Kayaks provided as is a table tennis table. Striped bass fishing right from the beach (bring your fishing rods).

The house was previously used to store 30 foot racing boats in the winter so is called "The Boat House". It is informal and casual in style and has a large open central room with floor to ceiling screens that open up to the beach and the ocean. All bedrooms have water views and can hear the soothing sound of waves at night. Two bedrooms were remodelled spring '07.

  • We were looking for a place near the coast large enough for 15+ older kids to have fun. This was the place! Plenty of grounds for frisbee, tag, etc., water to swim, rocks to climb, ping-pong . . . It was early in the season so we had to "break in" the place, but our hosts were most accomodating. There was no signal for cell phones, but there is a house phone for use. Very comfortable with great views.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay in the Boat House during the month of June. We were supplied with a tremendous handbook advising us on all the local points of interest, restaurants and shopping. As we had flown over from Ireland it was a joy to find an ideal place for all 9 of us to stay, including all the Kayaks, Table tennis and an excellent Barbeque (which was used endlessly!). We would like to recommend this holiday home to anyone who is looking for relaxation and fun. Andy and Emily Barker
