Arroyo House is nestled above an arroyo with unobstructed views and unobstructed access to one of the most beautiful and private beaches in Baja Sur. Most of the time you will be the only person on it. The sea is usually very mild and the beach is stunning.
Arroyo House is a great place for a family vacation or to share with friends. There are two kayaks (one single/one double) for your use. Great shelling and world-class fishing are at your doorstep. We can help arrange a local guide to take you out for an unforgettable day.
Please be aware that the nearest medical clinic or town of any size is 30 minutes away. Unlike Cabo San Lucas, Las Tinas is unspoiled by any commercialism. It is a perfect place to recharge and enjoy what is truly the best of Baja.

We are an active couple and we designed and built the arroyohouse ourselves. We love fishing and spending as much time as possible in baja.
Why the Owner Chose Los Barriles
We chose the location after spending many years driving down and vacationing. We feel this area is the finest. The East Cape region is the best Baja has to offer. We are in the village of Las Tinas, North of Los Barriles, near the hotel Punta Pescadero. We love being outside of the main town of Los Barriles, but near enough to enjoy its amenities. It is very peaceful. But with the new addition of WIFI you can be entirely connected. Our area has a good combination of Foreign owned(american) homes which blend in with the rest of the community. The lot sizes are big which allows for privacy. This is a rural community of fishing villages which has thrived for over a century on one of the richest, diverse fisheries in the world. It has only been within the last twenty odd years that us Gringos have been coming down to build homes and live. You really get an authentic Baja experience here while still having access to all of the amenities of the well organized town of Los Barrilles which is a short thirty minute drive away by way of paved road.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Fishing here is world class. Google the east cape region of Baja to find out. We use our inflatable 12 ft. raft with outboard motor and have had great days. Normally though, one can pay for an unforgettable day of fishing with a local guide. We have also caught many fish right off the beach and on the kayaks. These trips can be booked in advance. You can have a spectacular day snorkeling right off our beach, there is an excellent point with many rock formations. Cabo Pulmo, the largest living reef north of the equator is a short hour and a half drive port to port. Snorkeling and scuba is available there also.
We have gone and visited the local ranchers who have operations in the mountains that stretch behind the house where we have bought fresh rounds of cows milk cheese "queso fresco". We have taken horse back riding trips with the same ranchers into the valleys and canyons to visit the ruins of old ranches and have seen the cascading waterfalls of the springs that abound and feed the ranches. Our beach is also an excellent place to shell.

We just came back from 15 days at Arroyo House. We had a great time at this secluded, simple and elegant house, just off the beach. The views off the front porch were excellent no matter the time of day or night. The house was very comfortable and well equipped for a couple or two couples. Fishing in the area is great. We caught lots of tuna, dorado and even a marlin. If you want a quiet escape from your world back home, this is the place for you. The owners were great to work with and help was just around the corner from the caretaker, if we needed it. We would go back in a heartbeat!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We stayed here for a week in March 2007 and had a wonderful time. Perfect weather, easy access to empty beaches, great house. Perfect spot for one or two couples to get away.
