Truly Amazing!

Spending a few days at "Amazing Grace" was exactly what we needed... peace and quiet, beautiful views, all the comforts of home on the most incredible property ever! It was very clean, so all we had to do was drop our things and start relaxing. I highly recommend this rental property. The owners are great to deal with it. We are already looking forward to our next get-away to this little piece of heaven!

Owner response:Thank you very much Renee. You took advantage of getting away for a warm 3 day weekend in February. It's beautiful in the off season, and the solitude is great. The waves crashing, the sea gulls chirping, and the warm sun make for a time when you can clear your head. Please come again.

Amazing Grace is an Amazing Place to spend a vacation with family

This was our family's first trip to Topsail beach, what a wonderful experince! The house was nice and clean and exactly as discribed in the listing. The photos accuratley reflected the rental appearance and amenities. The owner was available, responsive and helpful if needed. The beach access is perfect. We rented everything we needed (Sheets, towels, beach chair and amberela) We recommend this option, for $100 we got everything we needed for the week. We are planning to go back next year.

Owner response:We loved having your family for a visit. So far this year you are the guest who has traveled the farthest to stay with us. Last year we had guests from Canada, England, and Germany! Please come again.

We stayed in Amazing Grace just last week, and loved it! I feel like we found a place undiscovered by the general public. Our Golden, Lily, loved it also. She swam, chased birds, and napped. I think I'll have to get her doggie anti-depressants now that we are back home! It was so relaxing, and so good to get away from the daily grind. We'll be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us! Patty

Owner response:Patty - you cracked me up with your comment about "doggie anti-depressants". My dogs also love the beach so much. Please come and visit us again.

I'm 55 years old and have been staying in Amazing Grace off and on since 2002. Sometimes we have rented both sides of the large house, enabling us to have SIX BEDROOMS AND TWO KITCHENS, sometimes not (3 bedrooms in Amazing Grace, three bedrooms in Breath of Fresh Aire). TWO CONDOS WHICH SHARE A STAIRWAY FROM BEACH : PERFECT SPACE FROM EARLY RISING GRANDCHILDREN: TO BE IN A SEPARATE CONDO NEXT DOOR!!! I am well traveled, having stayed on beaches in Europe, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Florida and Goa (in India). Grew up on the wide beaches in NJ, Beach Haven (near Atlantic City), and Seaside Heights, long before they were crowded beaches. The surf on Topsail is reminiscent of the NJ surf - sometimes lovely 5 - 6 foot waves, and generally a peaceful, easily swum surf. Amazing Grace is simply a marvelous beach experience. The owner is easy to deal with, the water is so close to the oceanside deck (due to the house being in front of the dune) that you feel like the beach is literally like your front lawn...right outside the door. Since I was widowed a couple years ago and recently remarried, this vacation was also sort of a honeymoon...what a romantic spot!! The beach is wide, sunrises exquisite, great party deck..or quiet gorgeous place to read. The nearby restaurants are lovely - seafood is fabulously fresh. Quiet family neighborhood atmosphere, but close to some fun nightlife and activities! Wonderful house amenities, low commercialism (glad to escape the constant vendors on and near the beach!) Of all the beaches I've travelled to for 30 years, this Topsail house experience is my favorite, I've returned with my family and friends going on 7 years now and it's better all the time.

Owner response:Barb has been a long time guest and very very welcome. She always leaves the place better than it was when she came, and she always brings a gaggle of friends that stay in the other side and in Answer to Prayer which I help a friend rent about 1/2 mile down the road. What a blessing she is.

We stayed at Amazing Grace from 8/29-9/5/09, and we were very impressed with the house and how beautiful the ocean view was. We fell in love with Topsail and did not want to come home. We will definitely be back next year. I am counting down the days until we return. Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home....oh, and just a note...the puzzle that is in the bookshelf DOES have all the pieces to it :) It took us 3 days to put it together, but we did it!

Owner response:Angela - congratulations on having the patience to complete the puzzle. I always mean to do it, but I get my first margarita and sit on the deck looking at the waves and before I know it, it's manana time!

We spent the winter from October 08 through March 09 at Amazing Grace. The space alloted here would not allow me to fully describe our stay. First, Steve was fantastic to deal with, honest, upfront and communications were always timely. Could not have asked for anything better. The house was incredible! It is right there on the beach and it is truly "Amazing" to be that close. You go to sleep at night with the sounds of the surf putting you to sleep. If you leave the blinds open, you will wake up each day with incredible sunrises. Then it's coffee on the deck to greet the new day. The colors of the sky and water always changing, offering you more to admire and it just never ends. The island in the winter is quiet and you don't get the summer crowds. Most days you can walk the beach and not see anyone. Only one day with snow this winter, and it was gone before sunset. Most of the time the temps were in the upper 50's, low 60's and if the wind was out of the west, just perfect. Surf fishing was great the first couple of months, but shut down by mid December. We have stayed at numerous beach houses up and down the east coast and highly recommend Amazing Grace. I can't say enough about this place, we will miss it.

Owner response:Marty - I'm jealous that you got to spend the entire winter on the beach. I wish you luck in your future endeavors.

We had a wonderful time during our vacation at Amazing Grace. The house was clean and accomodated our family well. During high tide you literally step right off the steps into the water. What a wonderful place!

Owner response:Amazing Grace was built closer to the beach than you can build a beach house now. At high, high tide, it seems as if you could cast a line out from the deck and surf fish. Fortunately, it is only high, high tide once a month, but it sure is great being near the water. There is none of this having to walk a block through the parking lot to get to the beach. It's right there and you can enjoy it from your morning cup of coffee to your evening "sundowner".

We had the most wonderful week at Amazing Grace!! The house was more than we expected. It was located on a quiet stretch of beach that was ours to enjoy. The oceans views from the windows and decks were absolutely beautiful. The house was perfect for our family of six and we were to happy to be able to bring our two dogs along. We had a great week of walking on the beach, jumping in the waves and relaxing in the comforts of home. Thanks to Steve, the owner, for allowing us be a guest at Amazing Grace. It truly is a piece of Heaven!!

Owner response:Laurie, you guys were the best guests ever (tied with all our other guests :-). Please make lans to visit us again.

We had a wonderful stay at Amazing Grace. We had lots of room, the home was very confortable, not to mention the beautiful view. We all returned home much rested but hated to leave our beach house, as our 2 year old grand-daughter called it!

Owner response:Anna, Thanks so much for being our guests. Kids love being at the beach and what a joy it is for grandparents to be able to spend that time with them.

Amazing Grace is truly a great find! The location is gorgeous, just steps from a quiet spot on the beach, and you can hear the ocean from every room in the house. We found ourselves wanting for nothing during our stay, with the exception of another week!

Owner response:Thanks Brenda! The dolphins said they want you to come back and play.

We spent 4th of July at Amazing Grace and it was wonderful! The house was very comfortable. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of room! The kitchen is well stocked with appliances/utensils and it was great to have a washer/dryer for all of the sandy towels!! The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with . . . hopefully this will become an annual vacation for our family!

Owner response:Thanks Melissa, we enjoyed having you as our guests. Please come again.

We stayed at Amazing Grace during the first week of June 2006. We loved the house, it was very clean and there was plenty of room for everyone. Wonderful beach. Dolphins swam by on the last day we were there. It was great, thank you again!

Owner response:The dolphins have asked where you went. They want you to come and visit again!

We have been coming to North Topsail for over 10 years. Last year we stayed at Breath of Fresh Aire for a week in July. It was the most pleasant of all the duplexes we have rented. When I tried to book it again through Century 21 it is listed but also listed as unavailable for all of 2007. I contacted Century 21 and got no response. Could you please let me know if this is true? Thank you.

Owner response:Sorry for the inconvenience. I was with Century 21, and they are great, but we had a disagreement over how much commission they were going to charge. You can now rent through VRBO or my web site.
