Hi I'm Diane VanWingerden. I grew up in the Tampa Bay Area, then moved to Michigan after college and marrying my high shcool sweetheart, Bruce. After 12 years in dreary Michigan, we were able to move back to the Tampa Bay Area that we love and missed for so many years. We have been back here since 2000 and don't plan to ever leave! We have 2 teenage children that keep me on my toes. I am blessed to be a stay at home Mom. I obtained my real estate license in 2008 so I can understand all the ins and outs of Real Estate and Rental Properties and am very knowledgable about vacation rentals in Clearwater Beach and surrounding areas.
I love to entertain and have been told I have the gift of hospitality! I enjoyed decorating this place to be a comfotable and inviting vacation home, and I love to continue to add extra special touches to make my guests feel pampered and welcome.
Why the Owner Chose Paradise Cove
We bought this townhome in the Summer of 2006 as an investment. We have always loved Clearwater Beach, started coming here when we were teenagers. Since it is only about an hour drive from our home in Tampa, it is the ideal location for a weekend getaway and rental property.
In the early 2000's Clearwater Beach started changing into more of an upscale area, and we really wanted to be a part of that! In the past several years, we have seen an amazing transformation take place in Clearwater Beach, with the addition of many upscale hotels and the "Beach Walk" and we look forward to the continuing growth here. We are excited to be property owners here, and enjoy sharing our little piece of paradise with so many visitors!
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
We love the close proximity to the beach - a five mintue walk. We can walk to so many restaurants and shops. We love to go the the Pier 60 party and look at all the vendors' goodies, and the kids really enjoy all the street performers- fire juggler, break dancers, local musicians! And there are so many excursions you can take from the Marina. We also love taking our boat out around the Clearwater Beach area, and even just lying by our very private pool is great. I must say the best part is watching the sunsets from the roof top terrace while sitting in our private hot tub - doesn't get much better than that!
If you decide to venture off the beach, you will find so many thngs to do in and around the Tampa Bay area, including incredible shopping at International Plaza in Tampa, Busch Gardens in Tampa, Disney World, Epcot, Universal Studios, and Sea World in Orlando, and our newest theme park in Winterhaven, Lego Land!
Clearwater Beach is the home of Winter the Dolphin from the popular movie "Dolhin Tale" shot right here at Clearwataer Marine Aquarium. It is open to the public for a nominal fee, and you can meet Winter herself!

We had the best time at this place. The owner went to great lengths to make our stay there great. I was with my wife (2) children, mother in-law and grandma. The elevator was a nice touch to get around the house. It is a block from the beach and places to eat but you should have a car so you can go to the local Publix supermarket.. That u cannot work too.lol This is a great place for the family.. The best part of the trip is that the owner was very accessable and meets you there when you arrive as well as leave. Hope to be back again.. Thanks Diane, Bryan, Mayra and Family From NY..

This condo is more beautiful than the pictures show. It is very spacious and well kept. The owner was very easy to work with and was helpful in answering any questions about the area or property. Although this condo is not directly on the beach it is still an excellent canal location on a quiet street with nice views from the roof top. Many restaurants are within walking distance as well as the beach (if you don't carry too much stuff). My husband and I especially loved the bikes that were available in the garage and used them to explore Clearwater Beach - we really felt like we were on an island during our stay. Overall this is a great vacation location whether you are traveling with your family or with a group of friends. We would definitely like to return to Clearwater Beach and stay at this condo again!

If you're considering a vacation rental in Clearwater Beach you will absolutely love staying in this lovely Paradise Cove townhome. Our family of five had a wonderful time, and we took advantage of everything this lovely home has to offer, from the pool in the back to the hot tub on the roof! This home has everything you want from a vacation rental: fantastic location, great views, comfortable beds, modern amenities, great rooms, and more! Everything about this rental experience was satisfying from the moment we first contacted Diane to the time we checked out.

We have stayed in several very nice condos around florida in the past and this townhouse just gives you so much more flexibility. The location is such that you could easily fly in and not bother with a rental car when staying here. Several restaurants all in walking distance. Beach just a couple blocks away. If you need groceries just get on the jolly trolly and get dropped off at Publix and return the same way. Yet its back off the main drag so its quiet. The listing is accurate in its description and the owner was excellent to work with, even meeting us there when we arrived and gave us a quick run through so we would know how everything operated. That was very helpful as there is an elevator to all floors and a hot tub on the roof. The unit was clean and nicely furnished with everything you will need. One of our best stays! Thanks again.

It has been our pleasure to stay at this beautiful townhome for the last 4 years. We originally chose Clearwater Beach for our family (my husband, two sons, daughter-in-law and myself) to enjoy Spring Training (big baseball fans- Go phillies!!). It turned out to be so much more- yes we still do love the Phillies and watching them play pre-season, especially on St. Patrick's Day is a lot of fun but just being together as a family and enjoying each other, laughing....making memories away from all the stress is awesome. My son found this place and it's even better than the pictures show---absolutely beautiful!!! Spotlessly clean, all the comforts of home PLUS...So much to do and most of it within walking distance. Watching the sunset on the beach is wonderful- weather has been beautiful, many good restaurants. It's great-just need to pack summer clothing and flip flops and you're good to go. Diane is wonderful and always very accommodating. Already planning for next year!! Thank you, Diane!!

The townhouse was absolutely everything described and much, much more! Booking it was a breeze with the owners helpful along the way. The house itself was immaculate, spacious, beautifully decorated and outfitted with everything you could possibly need. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a week in Clearwater. I won't waste space by repeating all the features the other reviews have mentioned. They are completely accurate! I will just add that the private hot tub underneath the stars on the rooftop terrace with the beautiful views of the inlet and Clearwater are something to be experienced...very romantic! A wonderful find...I will certainly return!

Fabulous Place - Close to Everything!

We stayed here June 12-19th, 2010 and this place is everything it's described as and more. The house is fabulous with three nice size bedrooms (the master is AWESOME). If you are travelling with another couple or two it has plenty of seperate space for everyone. It has a private elevator (especially nice if you have older or handicapped guests) and a wonderful rooftop with incredible views and a great hot tub. The condo itself is in excellent condition with a well equipped kitchen and living room with a nice TV and surround sound system. The property is right on a canal with a wonderfully clean and nice sized pool behind the property. Off-street garage parking is an excellent benefit as well. A nice bbq grill is provided as well for some home-made fresh seafood or steaks! It is walking distance to the beach although we would recommend driving across the bridge to Sand Key Park, the beach is less crowded and the water nicer (for whatever reason). It is pay parking (everywhere) but at Sand Key and they have a change machine. There is tons of parking and they have a bath house and a snack truck and trailer. You are close to a number of excellent restaurants including (all of) the Frenchy's restaurants. For really upscale try Beachcomber...Excellent. Also be sure to drive down the coast past Sand Key to the Conch Republic restaurant also wonderful food in a great atmosphere. You are also close to a McDonalds if need be for the kids :) Cooters is a good choice if you like fresh seafood as well. Be sure to hit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to see Winter the Dolphin. Shortly past the aquarium is a Publix Grocery store for stocking up. Or hit the Super Target or Sams club on the way to the beach. 10-15 min drive back to the Super Target or Sams or many other shopping w/o going all the way back to Tampa. Where they have all kinds of shopping or dining. I can't imagine a much better place for a vacation trip away from home. The owners were super-friendly and accomodating and easy to work with to setup the trip. We will definitely return! Thanks guys!!

We stayed in this condo the 2nd week of March and had a great time. The location was perfect as it was only 5 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the marina by foot (if that long)! There was lots of space for all of us (myself, wife, 2 year old daughter, mother-in-law) so we weren't tripping over each other like in a hotel suite. Everything was in the condo as listed and there was nothing that Diane had missed. Overall it was an outstanding trip and the accommodations made it much easier to relax at the end of the day and put our feet up.

we went to the house for 4 days.. and it was absolutely wonderfull. you can walk to the beach and shops. and the view from the house is great.. if your lucky you see the dolphins swim by. the house is clean and beautifull. thank you diane for making our vacation perfect. we hope to come again!!!!
