My family and I just stayed at this lovely 2BR/2BA apartment and we can't begin to express just how wonderful this property is! Aside from its absolutely perfect location (really, just steps away from Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, Ile St. Louis...and a relatively short stroll to the Louvre, St. Germaine, etc.), the accommodations were delightful. Our family of six fit very well and the apartment's layout allowed us to 'get some distance' when needed. One bedroom has an en suite shower and vessel sink; the other bedroom is located just a step or two away from a second bath, which was also very well updated with a nice shower/tub combo, large vanity and two vessel sinks. The toilet is located near the front of the apartment -- and, despite our large family, we never had an issue with sharing/waiting. The kitchen was terrific (and a must for me since I have bad food allergies) and enabled us to cook some nice family meals (with fresh foods attained from the farmer's market near Hotel de Ville and also the grocery, which was located mere steps from the apartment). Also worthy of mention: the apartment comes equipped with its own washer/dryer -- a huge plus for those who prefer to travel lightly and simply wash and re-wear outfits. As the photo(s) depict, the apartment is modernly and comfortably updated, but not in a way that diminishes the lovely historic charm of the old building. There is still plenty of 'vintage French' beauty to be had throughout the apartment -- from the gorgeous old windows and hardwood floors to the beautiful crystal chandelier hanging in the front entry. And let's not forget about all the thoughtful extras: the multiple umbrellas and canvas shopping bag hanging on the back of the door; the detailed arrival book that featured page upon page of valuable information (from taxi and driver numbers, Metro maps and top restaurants to museum pass resources, bike rental services, and more). Cecile, the apartment's owner, also included step-by-step instructions for some of the apartment's appliances (all of which were quite helpful, especially for the washer and dryer, which are a bit different from what we have in the US). And if all this weren't enough, the price came in far less than what we would have spent for 3 separate hotel rooms (which wouldn't have afforded us a kitchen!). This is a wonderful place that we'd all strongly recommend! The next time we're in Paris, we'll definitely be renting from Cecile again!

Paris oasis

The perfect Marias oasis, the apartment was well appointed, spacious,quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels, linen, cosy duvet, great showers. Kitchen had all the facilities you need on vacation with a double fridge big enough to store all the fabulous cheese available in the many nearby fromagers and of course wine to go with!! Le Marias has always been our favourite neighbour in Paris, never disappoints! Central, great food and boutique shopping with loads of atmosphere.....missing it already! Minutes from the metro and about a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame.... Cecile was a pleasure to deal with, both check in and check out procedure were a breeze... Highly recommend this apartment...

This flat is clean, comfortable and well-provided for with respect to appliances and other amenities. Perfect for a small family. It's in a beautiful building, a few blocks from the Village of St. Paul, the Place Des Vosges, The Bastille, The Seine, etc. Convenient access to shopping for food, boutiques, galleries, etc. Cecile (the manager of this and several other flats) was helpful in every way, and provided us with excellent references for driver, child sitter, etc. One drawback/advantage (depending how you see it) is that there are no windows out to the street or with lovely views so while there is virtually no street noise, you won't find yourself staring out the windows. But there is plenty to do out on the streets, so that shouldn't be a problem. This is a practical, clean, well stocked flat in an ideal location with a very helpful manager.

Beautiful apartment & excellent location in Le Marais

Wow! This was our first international apartment rental experience and it was excellent! The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and in a wonderful location in the 4th Arrt. A new grocery is ½ a block away and everything else; metro stops, shops for wine, formage, patisseries, and restaurants populate the entire Marias neighborhood. Cecile was very prompt and thorough in her responses. The check-in and check-out processes were convenient as well. We used a car service to/from CDG which added to the convenience. Thank you Ceclie, we highly recommend renting in Paris from you! It was our most memorial trip to Paris so far!

Comfortable, Clean, and Convenient

My husband and I stayed here with our one year old son and enjoyed our stay immensely, we only wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is conveniently located to shops and restaurants, there's also a supermarket less than a block away. The place was very clean and comfortable and it is also very nicely decorated. We slept very well at night since the place is very quiet and the bedding comfortable. Also, Cecile was able to provide a baby cot and sheets for our son for a small fee. We will definitely come back!

My husband and myself stayed one month , with daughters visiting for a couple of nights at various times. The apartment was beautiful -- tastefully decorated and furnished and very comfortable. The apartment had everything that we needed. We LOVED the location -- and the apartment was quiet..Booking and checkin smooth and courteous .The only design fault was the distance of the toilet , which had no hand basin - to the bathrooms. We would recommend this apartment .

What a wonderful place to stay on our first visit to Paris. Cecil’s apartment is lovely, tastefully furnished and in a great location. We were a party of five and we were very comfortable in the apartment. The bathrooms are modern and updated and having a washer and dryer was a big plus. We loved the large windows overlooking the quiet courtyard and how bright and airy the apartment was. There were numerous shops and sites within walking distance from the apartment, including a market a few doors down where we discovered some great French wines. And I can’t say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with Cecile. I have rented many apartments through VRBO and Cecile was one of the most responsive and accommodating owners that I have rented from. After I had trouble securing a wheelchair rental for a member of our party, Cecil took over and arranged for pick-up and delivery of a chair to the apartment, took care of the deposit and the chair was waiting for us when we arrived. She arranged to have her van driver take us to and from the apartment and he was prompt, friendly and reasonably priced. We highly recommend renting this apartment and if we are lucky enough to get back to Paris we would definitely rent from Cecile again. Thanks for everything Cecile!

Cecile: What a wonderful week in Paris we had! The apartment was so great-location, cleanliness, it had everything we needed. I most appreciated the comfortable beds and lovely linens. I was so nervous about renting an apartment, but we were thrilled with the whole experience. The drivers to and from the airport were professional and friendly-thanks so much! Great apartment in a very central location, Taxi, Bus and Metro all within 100 metres. Apartment is very spacious, well furnished and very clean. Cecile was very helpful. There is also a driver service available if you want to take a trip somewhere and the rate is agreed in advance, it was very good. We stayed at the apartment for three nights over Christmas with our two teenage daughters. The apartment is near enough to walk to Notre Dame. Plenty to see and do in the Marais and surrounding area.

We are a family with two small children and had such a fantastic holiday in Paris largely due to having this apartment. It is a very quiet, beautifully furnished well sized apartment. It is very well equipped and had everything we could have wished for (even a hairdryer). It was in the best location in Le Marias. It is extremely close to metro (1 min walk), bus stops, supermarkets, bakeries as well as lovely restaurants and of course great shops!. Cecile was very professional and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Cecile and her apartments.

This it my 3rd stay in one of Ceciles apartments. I have stayed in 3 of the her Marais apartments and they are all perfect. They are decorated in a very nice upscale style and are very comfortable. This apartment has a nice open kitchen, as the photos show. If you are shopping apartments, do yourselve a favor and stay in one of her apartments.

We are 2 couples in our mid 60s who enjoyed 4 wonderful days in Paris in early October. We stayed at Cecile's very stylish apartment and found the ambiance and the location fabulous. Our party had the pleasure of staying in this Marais apartment for a week during July 2009. It could simply not be better situated in terms of access to transport, nightlife, local shops etc and has the added bonus of being in the midst of the Marais lifestyle buzz. However the apartment, being towards the back of the building, is very quiet and provides a relaxing ambience. It is very well appointed, a good size for 4 people (options for 6) and some helpful information was provided on the locality. Overall I would highly recommend.

The apartment was beautiful. My friend and I loved the Marais neighborhood and that it was within walking distance of most everything! Cecile was professional, very courteous and made the booking process very easy. This apartment would be best for a family because one bedroom was much smaller than the other. I loved the apartment and its location and would definitely book it again (for my family!) for a return trip.

Loved it, loved it, the decor, the housekeeping, the location in the Marais, the neat kitchen (needs a pasta pot and colander), beautiful bathrooms, bed linens lovely, and the space was perfect for three adults. I do suggest a hand rail be added on stair. Cecile made picking up and returning key painless. We would go return cerainly.

Our stay in Marais Village 2 couldn't have been more perfect. The location was absolutely ideal. We were walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre and of course all of the wonderful shops, restaurants and markets in the Marais district. For sights that were not within walking distance, we just jumped on the Metro at the St Paul station which is literally steps away from the apartment. Cecile could not have been more personable, professional and prompt through out the entire booking process. I had the pleasure of meeting Cecile when I went to pick up the apartment key and she was just as sweet in person. I would strongly recommend Marais Village to anyone who is looking for a lovely apartment in Paris in a great location. I will certainly stay at either Marais Village 2 or another of Cecile's apartments for any future visits.

We just returned from a magical stay in Cecile's Marais apartment. The apartment was perfect for our family of four. It is very well-appointed, is centrally located, and there is easy access to the Metro, shops, and sights. Cecile has taken the time to put together a booklet of invaluable information -- tips on getting metro passes, securing taxis (in English), local restaurants and attractions, the times of the open market, even a wonderful place to pick up our morning croissants and pain au chocolat -- all of which we relied upon. We will return to Paris, and we will no doubt want to return to Cecile's apartment.

We stayed in this apartment for 8 nights in March and it was a wonderful fit for our family of 4. The accomodations were very comfortable and we loved the neighborhood. The Metro was just a few minutes walk and there were numerous restaurants and shops of all kinds. We enjoyed picking up a baguette in the mornings and having breakfast in the apartment and then, after a long day, it was great to stop by the local cheese shop and wine shop and relax in the apartment before heading out to dinner. The apartment was perfect for our stay in Paris! Everything we might have needed was right there in the apartment. It made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. We certainly appreciated being able to phone home without a charge...what a nice surprise. Especially helpful was the information booklet of the services, restaurants and stores in the local area...not to mention the carefully detailed map of such services. Defintely take the local restaurant recomendations...we had wonderful dining experiences. The local area has such a diverse assortment of shops that you will never be bored roaming the streets!

We had a wonderful time with 5 women sharing this lovely apartment for a week. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms spacious (and the water hot!), and beds comfortable. It was great to be able to gather each evening in the living/dining space. The Marais area is wonderful - plenty of boutiques, restaurants, food stores (Monoprix is nearby, as are vegetable stands, wine stores, bakeries, cheese shops, etc.) Best of all, the apartment is literally a block away from the St. Paul Metro station - we traveled throughout Paris, to Versailles and Giverny using the Metro and trains - very convenient!

We had a wonderful stay in this very well appointed apartment. The landlord, manager, concierge and repair staff were all very competent, friendly and helpful. Dear Cecile We would like to say how much we enjoyed staying in your apartment 'Marais Village' in Rue de Roi De Sicile in January 2007. The location of the apartment was fantastic. Many main tourist sights were only a walk away. We loved exploring the Marais district and we were so close to the beautiful Seine ( 8 minute walk!) the many interesting shops, markets, restaurants, galleries and so much more. It is such a fascinating neighbourhood. The Metro was 3 minutes from our door and it provided easy access to the whole of Paris. The apartment itself was spacious, as well as beautifully designed and stylishly decorated. It had quality appliances and fittings and we were very comfortable during our one month stay. The beds deserve a special mention as they were great and ensured a good night's sleep. The heating was efficient and never failed. The apartment's location was surprisingly very quiet on the edge of a lively area and we felt quite safe there. (We saw police roller blading down our street one day which made quite a sight!) We found you to be a very helpful and responsive property owner and thank you for that. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we hope to stay again next year in the 'Marais Village'. Kind regards

Cécile,We spent a week in Marais Village 2 Apartment and loved not only the apartment but the Marais district in general. The apartment is set in a fantastic part of the Marais district - close to superb bistros, bars, shops and boulangerie - but there is no noise from the street. The location really is perfect. We were very happy to see it has been finished to a high standard and still in keeping with the area and traditional French furnishing and colour schemes. After a long day walking around Paris, it was a joy to come home to a hot bath and a glass of wine with plenty of room for our children to relax. We look forward to returning. We highly recommend the apartment. We had a fantastic time in Paris and the apartment was fantastic, and we would definitely stay there again. Regards

We stayed at the Marais 2 in June 07 for a week. The apartment is absolutely fabulous. It has two nice bedrooms and baths which are all modern and updated. The area is very upbeat and nice with nice shops and cafes'. It is very central to everything and the metro is two blocks away. You can walk to almost all the major sites in central Paris. The other apartment occupants were very quiet and nice. The only drawback on the apartment was that it had only one toilet. Other than that I would highly recommend staying there again. My son even left his wallet at the apartment after we left and they mailed it back home to the USA for us. These owners (Cecile) are very trustworthy and professional. We are planning our trip already and will stay with this company again.
