My husband and I have traveled to Hawaii every year we have been together (19) save one. Kauai is our favorite island, and the one we have traveled to the most. We have stayed at the well-known resorts and rented homes with friends. As we were traveling alone this trip, we chose to stay at Lae Nani, and we are so glad we did! The condo had everything we desired (and more!) on our vacation. We had contemplated staying a night in Poipu, but after spending the day in Poipu, we chose to return to Lae Nani. We wanted to get back to the comfort of "home"! The views from the lanai are fantastic and the trail along the beach for a morning stroll is easily accessible. Linda provides a binder which includes menus of local restaurants and information regarding local shopping and activities which is a great resource for those unfamiliar with the area. The condo was not only well-appointed, it was immaculate. Call or email Linda and reserve your stay today; you'll be glad you did!!
Owner response:Thank you much for choosing our condo at Lae Nani! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you return soon. We just installed new carpet and have updated our condo, for even more comfort for our guests. Mahalo Nui Loa....Linda

We enjoyed our stay for four days in this condo overlooking the pool and the ocean. The grounds were well maintained and the condo was clean. It was supplied with every conceivable gadget one could possible need. I also like having the 1 and 1/2 bathrooms. The location of the resort is half way between the north and south shores which makes it easy to explore the island. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your recent stay with us! We hope you can return to Kauai and stay longer some day...Aloha for now, Linda Herceg

We have just returnted from staying at your wonderful condo. We found the condo very clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The kitchen is better stocked than home. We also appriciated the extra convenciences like beach towels and beach equipment (cooler, boogie board, beach chairs, etc.). Everything in the place is top of the line. The oceanview was a perfect dream. We never used the AC because of the great cross-breeze you could get between the bedroom and the living room. Your communication and service made everything a holiday to remember. Hope we get a chance to enjoy Kauai and your condo again some day. Thanks again for everything. What a fantastic condo!!! My husband and I spent a week here for our 10th anniversary and loved every minute of it. It had everything we wanted... including the most amazing view ever! The information that Linda leaves for her guests to help with finding fun activities was unlimited. Our favorite was the kid map of the island. Go figure! The condo was quiet, clean and had great beach access, which included a kiddie "pool" in the ocean. One of the great things about this condo is the location in Kapaa, which is right in the middle of both north shore and south shore. It was our first time to Kauai, so the location made for an easy day drive to go either way and spend a fun day wherever! I would highly, highly recommend this condo!

We stayed in Kauai in May 2010 for two weeks. The condo was very nice and very clean. The condo was decorated with wonderful hawaiian taste. We have never used this web site before and we were a little nervous but after communicating back and forth with Linda she made our decision to rent her condo an easy one. She was very informative and she always replied promptly to our questions. The condo is on a beach and has a very nice pool. There was always someone doing some kind of work around the property keeping its beauty perfect. When we arrived everything was exactly where Linda said it would be. There were no surprises. The pictures on this website are exactly the same as we saw with our own eyes, except of course that pictures really don't show the true beauty of the grounds, they are amazing. While we were there we would walk over to the the coconut market for breakfast at Eggberts and for dinner at TC Island grill. We also loved the fact that the property had some very nice weber grills for the evenings when we just wanted to stay in. We did many excursions. We would recommend all of them. They were the Smiths' Tropical Luau which had excellent food and entertainment and was only 10 minutes away from the condo. We went to Kipu Ranch and had an adventureous ATV ride with the tour guide pointing out many beautiful areas. We went kayacking on the Wailua river and hiked to the 120 foot secret falls which was amazing. My favorite excursion was ziplining on 7 zipline courses. This was way out of our comfort zone but once we finished the first line we loved it! We definately would do this again. We went tubing down the old sugar irrigation system and what a great ride this was. I thought it would be pretty slow but it was infact very fun and we got wet alot. We also explored the Na pali Coast by going on a sunset cruise with Holo Holo Charters located at Port Allen Marina. They were nice and had a pretty good chicken and rice dinner. We also took a bike ride tour down Waimea Canyon with Outfitters kauai which was very fun. On our off days we drove to a beach called Hanalei Bay Beach which was very secluded and the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. Another beach we went to during our stay was the Anini Beach. This beach was not really for laying out on but it was a good spot to snorkel in. Thanks again Linda and John for sharing your wonderful island home with us. We hope to come back soon!
Owner response:Thank and Aloha for your recent stay in May 2011. We are lucky to have such nice visitors to our condo on Kauai! We try hard to make your stay comfortable and give you the best value for a "comfort of home" experience. It is a pleasure for us that we can be a small part of a very mememorable time in your travel adventures. Thank you so much!! Looking forward to your return someday....Mahalo, Linda Herceg

This is our 8th trip to Kauai, and we had the best 15 days ever! The condo is great and all Linda's special touches make it really nice.. The view is awesome and we made it up for every sunrise. My husbands favorite place to eat is the Bull Shed. He likes the prime rib there. God willing, we will be able to return again next year. Mahalo, Stan & Carol Paw Paw, Ilinois

All the previous reviews are correct; lovely spot, nice condo, fully equipped, view is great, etc. But Just a couple of negs. When we got to the condo, the blinds to the very large glass doors were open and the sun had been doing it's thing! It was about 150 degrees in the living space. We had to go out side to the beach for several hours. Cooling the place off was a challenge. There is NO AC, repeat, NO AC. So plan to spend your time during the day away from the condo. It's just too hot unless you plan to submerge yourself in the pool for 5 hrs. Sitting on the Lanai during the day is tough. The sun is intense. And there is NO shade on the Lanai. They charge a stiff cleaning fee. The largest we have ever paid using VRBO. don't know why. The place is not large at all. One of my print-outs says "convertible bed". NO way. I see that that has been removed from the website. Good thing. There is NO convertible bed.
Owner response:We now have an air conditioner for the times when the trade winds are low. It is our wish to have very happy guests in our island home. Thank you your 5 star rating! Linda Herceg

The condo was absolutely amazing!! The location was centerally located and made traveling to all parts of the island a breeze. The view from the balcony of the condo could have been a post card...it was breath taking. We would definitely stay here again.

To cut right to the chase, my friend and I loved staying at the Herceg's condo and would go back in a heartbeat! The oceanfront view from the lanai was everything we had hoped for, the resort's pool and gardens were lovely, and the condo itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It's a ideal place to relax and as a home base for more active pursuits. As others have mentioned, the Kapaa location is convenient for shopping and for touring the island. Linda was wonderfully responsive and a great host. I recommend this condo highly and hope to stay there again sometime in the near future!

We were visiting Kauai for the first time and the central location of this unit was perfect. The location is ideal being right on the beach and minutes from Kapaa. We were very impressed overall. The unit was quiet and extremely comfortable. With a full kitchen setup we did most of our own cooking but were able to walk to a few restaurants in just a few minutes. We really enjoyed not being tied to any type of resort schedule but at the same time being able to enjoy the beautiful grounds, pool and beachfront you may find at a resort. With this Lae Nani unit we could spend our days exploring the island but then come back to a hassle free, secure accomodations. We enjoyed starting each day having our coffee and tea on the patio or "lanai" looking out at the ocean. Can't get better than that! Overall an amazing time!

The unit was outstanding and far exceded our expectations as for cleanliness, appearance, and beauty. Pictures that were provided with the listing gave us an indication of what we would see, but WOW, this place is AWESOME! (Pictures never do justice.) When we entered the unit, we found an extremely thorough explanation of what was available within the unit and complex, as well as recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. While the complex was not very large, it was ideal for us as it had wonderfully kept grounds, a great view of the ocean, and a beach where we could sunbath and/or swim and snorkle. We would, without hesitation, recommend this property to friends and relatives and will consider it for future returns to Kauai. A highlight of our stay, was the endangered Hawaiian monk seals that used the beach for rest. The central location also allowed us to travel to both ends of the island without feeling like we were spending the day in the car.

Centrally located making all activities within an hour as well as being lush and beautiful The community of Kapaa had everything we needed as did the condo complex. The beach was particularly attractive. The condo itself was very good sized and tastefully decorated. We would definitely return there.
Owner response:We are happy to share our condo with such nice guests, some who can't wait to email us even before they get home, to say how much they enjoyed their stay at Lae Nani. The same "wow" we felt the first time on Kauai makes us proud to be a part of a wonderful memory for so many really great guests! Thank you all so much. John and Linda Herceg

February 11 to March 10, 2010 - This was our first visit to Kauai. Our four daughters sent us on a one month vacation in celebration of our 40 anniversary (February 14, 2010). The condo (215) was clean, had all the amenities one could hope for and was a comfortable size. The decorations helped make this unit very homey....it was like coming home. Linda and John were welcoming and accomodating hosts and one of them bakes delicious brownies. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend to all and if/when we return to Kauai we would want to stay in no other place. Location is exceptional. Aloha.

This was our first trip using VRBO. VRBO was recommended to us; otherwise we would probably have never used it. And I am sure glad we did! We have nothing but excellent things to report about our experience. The owner, Linda, was very helpful and answered all of our questions prior to our arrival. When we arrived at the condominium, it was like a home away from home. Everything that you could possibly want was there. It was exactly as portrayed in the advertisement. Everyone was very friendly, and the grounds, pool, etc., were very well kept. Eating our breakfast on the lanai or having a glass of wine after our excursions will be something we will always remember. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Linda and John. They were very kind and friendly. Thank you again Linda and John for allowing us to use your condominium.

This is the last evening of our 10 night stay in your beautiful 3rd floor condo at Lae Nani! We just wanted to say how very much we have enjoyed both the condo and the resort - truly one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. The people have been very friendly, the pool and grounds immaculate, and we have especially enjoyed the peacefulness with the ocean sounds always in the background. And everything we have needed has been right here in the condo, so Mahalo Linda for your thoughtfulness and for helping make this such a nice holiday for us. Phil and Maureen Nov 2009

We have just returned 12/1/10 from staying at this great 3rd floor condo. The condo is wonderful with all the touches of home. The kitchen has every gadget you could need, and the views are breathtaking. This is our 10th trip to kauai and this condo is at the top of our list. In addition it is located so that you can walk to lots of things and not have to drive. Linda is great to work with and really interested in providing the best service possible. I f you need any information she will e-mail you back immediately. This was a great condo and trip.

We had a very relaxing stay in the 3rd floor unit which has everything you need ranging from coolers, beach mats and ice to well a stocked kitchen. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts on our lanai which overlooks the pool and ocean. The complex is centrally located with easy access to shopping and restaurants. The pool was refreshing after spending the day hiking the trails around Kauai. We stayed for 3 nights from Oct.13-15, 2009, and hope to return in the near future. Mahalo Linda! We have visited Kauai many times and recently have started staying in condos. The third floor unit was one of the nicest we have used. It was more that fully equiped, had a fantastic view of the pool, ocean, and ancient heiau (temple). Kapa'a is centrally located and it was less that 45 minutes drive to any point on the island. The Coconut Market place is a 5 minute walk. The complex is very nicely maintained and the grounds were beautiful. We especially liked our evening dips in the pool and many times had it to ourselves. It was a quiet and peaceful location sparsely populated with guests. The trade winds helped keep us cool but, there is no air conditioning. The internet wi-fi and printer were a nice touch. There is a wide selection of cable channels and free long distance calls back to the mainland. We stayed 15 days, Sep 17 - Oct 2. Will certainly go back again. Dan & Heidi

We love this condo and a big Mahalo to the owner (Linda is just incredible)! We are staying for our third year in a row this November 2009. The grounds are immaculately kept and the small rocked-in ocean pool is wonderful for dipping and watching the little fish. There is a heiau right on the property where you can enjoy the sunrise. This condo is so beautifully decorated and well stocked with every appliance, dish or glass you may need with an ice maker that comes in very handy for that tropical cocktails on the lanai. There is a great TV for relaxing with a movie in the evening. The location is perfect for visiting north or south. This is our favorite place on Kauai.
