Location: Little Boy Lake, Minnesota, USA (3 miles south of Longville; 3 hours northwest of Minneapolis)

Accommodations:  Cabins, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath (Sleeps 5-6)

Come to northern Minnesota. Sit on the deck of one of our Rainbow Bay Resort's clean, new or remodeled cabins. Listen to the cry of the loons, Minnesota’s state bird. Watch an eagle grab a fish from the blue waters.

Rainbow Bay is a small, quiet, old-time fishing resort situated in Cass County approximately 3 hours northwest of the Twin Cities.

We rent 3 comfortable, modern cabins on Little Boy Lake, one of Minnesota’s best walleye lakes. Fishing boats with motors, depth finders, and pedestal seats are available for rent. Daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rental rates allow renters to have accommodations that fit their vacation needs. Cabins are equipped with complete kitchens, satellite television, and bathrooms have showers. All of the cabins are air conditioned. They are reserved as non-smoking.

The small town of Longville is conveniently located just 3 miles away for groceries, gas, bait, restaurants, churches, etc. It’s famous for its weekly turtle races. Guide service for our lake or nearby lake is available, as needed.

Fish for Walleyes, Northerns, Muskies, Large or Small mouth Bass.

And there are plenty of pan fish if that is your fare.

Our resort is in transition. We have recently completed the construction of a new cabin replacing an old one. The new cabin has two bedrooms on the main floor and a loft. It has a queen sized bed and four twin beds; comfortably sleeping for up to 6.

Also we are in the process of remodeling cabin #1 with new ceilings, flooring, kitchen, windows, and siding. It will be finishd in early April. It will have a queen sized bed, two twin beds, and a sofa sleeper. It, too, can sleep up to 6. Each cabin will have a new heating/cooling system to make you comfortable in all kinds of weather.

Sorry, no pets or jet skis are allowed.

Reservations: We require a $150 deposit to hold your weekly reservation. If you need to cancel, we will refund all but $50 administrative fee if we can fill your vacancy.

  • We stayed for a week in July 2008. The cabin was well appointed and the owners did everything possible to insure that our stay was enjoyable. The boat was completely equipped and well maintained.   • I have been fishing here on little boy lake since 1979. I was three years old when I first started coming here with my family. I now have a family of my own and continue to come up here on vacation. Love the lake and the resort. I hope to contiue to come up here for many more years.

  • Our stay at Rainbow Bay Resort is always pleasant and relaxing. The cabins are neat,clean, and comfortable. The owners are very caring and helpful also. I highly recommend a relaxing week at this resort.
