Thielen's Rainbow Bay Resort is a small, quiet, fishing resort situated in Cass County approximately 3 hours northwest of the Twin Cities.
We have a comfortable, modern cabin on Little Boy Lake, one of Minnesota’s best walleye lakes. Fishing boats with motors, depth finders, and pedestal seats are available for rent. Daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal rental rates allow renters to have accommodations that fit their vacation needs. Cabin is equipped with complete kitchen, satellite television, and bathroom has a shower. It is air conditioned and is reserved as non-smoking.
The small town of Longville is conveniently located just 3 miles away for groceries, gas, bait, restaurants, churches, etc. It’s famous for its weekly turtle races. Other towns nearby include Hackensack, and Walker.
Fish for Walleyes, Northerns, Muskies, Large or Small mouth Bass. There are plenty of pan fish if that is your fare. Guide service for our lake or nearby lakes is available, as needed.
We finished our rebuilding program! The cabin was completely rebuilt during the fall of 2008. It has two bedrooms and a loft with a queen sized bed and four twin beds. Other smaller cabins are available.
We discount our rates in May and September by 25% in an attempt to lure more customers during those quiet times. We offer customers who stay for two weeks a third week at half the regular season price.
We can't guarantee the weather, and fishing success is more or less up to the individual. But we can guarantee a clean comfortable place to enjoy the great outdoors.
Sorry, no pets or jet skis are allowed.
Reservations: We require a $150 deposit to hold your weekly reservation. If you need to cancel, we will refund all but $50 administrative fee if we can fill your vacancy.

This was our first trip to Little Boy Lake, and won't be our last! The owners Pete and Jan are a wonderful couple who made our visit so enjoyable. Our boys loved fishing right off the dock and they caught plenty of fish to keep them busy. We stayed in cabin #2 it was wonderful, clean and more than we could have asked for. We hope to be back again for another relaxing trip!

We stayed for a week in July 2008. The cabin was well appointed and the owners did everything possible to insure that our stay was enjoyable. The boat was completely equipped and well maintained. You will not be sorry to spend some time in these cabins. Any questions, feel free to give us a call.

I have been fishing here on little boy lake since 1979. I was three years old when I first started coming here with my family. I now have a family of my own and continue to come up here on vacation. Love the lake and the resort. I hope to contiue to come up here for many more years.

Our stay at Rainbow Bay Resort is always pleasant and relaxing. The cabins are neat,clean, and comfortable. The owners are very caring and helpful also. I highly recommend a relaxing week at this resort.
