We had a great time. The condo was nice and had everything we could have needed. All I can say is we will be back someday and thank you to Bonnie the welcome basket was a nice touch. The river run thru the caves was fun and relaxing a pretty tame ride. Captain Andy's dinner cruise was great we were the last boat in and we went up the coast the farthest. I have been to different Islands and never have I seen so many whales. What a great trip!

Owner response:We have just arrived, I hope the whales are still there. We choose the simple life, drink some wine, watch whales jump out of the water, listen to waves as we fall asleep. Excellent Place

The condo was great for our family with 2 young children. It has an excellent view of the ocean that we could listen to as we went to sleep each night. It was fully stocked for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, and snorkels) which made our beach excursions convenient. The owners are on the ball and made the arrangements as easy as possible. I highly would recommend to anyone.

My family and I rented this condo while we were on the island for my daughter's wedding. The pictures of the property grounds did not do it justice. it was much more beautiful. We watched the whales every morning while we had our coffee on the lanai. The grounds were well cared for and the pool was well maintained. The kitchen was immaculate and provided all the equipment needed for cooking. The beds in the bedrooms were comfortable. There was a washer and dryer and the owner provided beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs. The internet worked great, there was cable television, and a phone. We also cooked out at the barbeque pit. The owner was very easy to work with and gave us allot of great ideas with contact numbers for things to do while on the island. We even had a wonderful welcome basket when we arrived. There were no bugs in this condo so you don't have to worry about bringing home any stowaways. We found that we could walk to the beaches, the Marriott, and a shopping area about 2 miles away. We had to drive to visit anywhere else. We enjoyed sailing, hiking, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, boogie boarding, a luau, and shopping. We had a wonderful time and loved our stay at this place!

Great location, fair price

My wife and i rented this condo for 8 days. It is just a short walk to Poipu Beach and a short drive to Lihue. The views are very nice and both the sunrise and sunset can be watched from the grounds. The trade winds keep the condo cool day and night. Construction was in progress while we were there but it was never an issue. If our travels take us back to Kauai we will surely look this place up.

Owner response:I hope you think Kauai is worth a follow up vacation location. There is so much to do you need months to explore! We have been coming for 11 years and still have just scratched the surface.

What a beautiful place to stay! The condo is totally up to date with every convenience of home. It was spacious and comfy in every detail. The owner was efficient in her response, as well as, helpful in every aspect of our stay, from beginning to end. Her detailed letter on "what to do", where to shop, and how to stay safe was greatly appreciated and extremely beneficial to the success of our over-all experience. From the welcome basket, all the way down to the beach "fun" supplies, we were impressed. Our family of seven (+ one groom to be mid-stay) would choose this condo again in a heartbeat, not only for location, location, location, but also it's ambiance, and the kind and thoughtful owner. Fourteen + two thumbs, WAY up!!!!!

We (four 60 + women) who travel together occasionally, just got back from 8 nights here and had a wonderful time. The owners are very responsive and fair. The description was accurate. We found all kinds of cooking utensils, cutlery, even food stuffs in the cupboards. The place is delightful, restful and immaculate. Furniture, carpeting, and appliances looked brand new, beds were very comfortable. The view is spectacular! We can't say enough about the owners who supplied us with maps and information about activities before we arrived that we might find enjoyable and they were right.

My friends and myself stayed here in the end of April and were very happy with the condo, the pool, the views, and met very nice people while here. Bonnie was wonderful to work with and were pleased with our welcome basket upon arrival. Would definitely consider this unit again, was everything we were expecting.

This condo was perfect for a nice quiet vacation, perfect for watching whales from the lani. Well stocked and great location.

Owner response:I'm delighted the whales put on a great show for you. We chose to purchase in Kauai because it is like living in a nature preserve. We share the beaches with monk seals and sea turtles. Snorleling is wonderful here. With the national botanical garden 3 miles away, we spend many hours photographing nature and marveling at how wonderful the simple life is. Peaceful is a great description of what our condo is for us.

This condo was perfect for us since it was next door to the Point at Poipu where we own a time share and spent our first week. The views were better than at Poipu and there were more amenities in the form of a welcome basket, beach chairs and beach towels. The condo was very spacious and immaculate. We appreciated the two flat screen tv's since my husband and I have very different tastes in programs. We love the location since you are in the middle of the island and also in the sunniest part. This was our 4th trip to Kauai and we find it very relaxing since there are no large cities and interstates. We spend a lot of time just communing with nature. We watched the myna birds and red headed cardinals, the sea turtles, and of course the numerous whales. We also went to Poipu Beach and Lawaii beach where I snorkled and again was amazed at the great variety of fish just ten feet off the shore. The highlight was riding in the "Jurassic Park" helicopter to the forbidden island of Niihau after we saw the "Jurassic Park" figs at Atherton Gardens. Of course we also drove to the Canyon, where we hiked, and the north side of the island where we did a little shopping. All in all, we had a great time and can't wait to come back. Thank you Bonnie, for your flexibility and your prompt return of our security deposit.

And, we purchased because of the view. We never have to worry about what unit we will be assigned. I wish we did not own the timeshare and just had the condo. Amazing vacation condo

Everything was exactly as the owner stated. It was spacious, very clean, and very well equipped. We felt right at home. The welcome packet came in the mail before we left, which gave us valuable information on the condo, maps of the island, activities, and the dinning opportunities. We sat on our lanni and watched the whales. Absolutely amazing. We absolutely recommend this condo to anyone that is looking for a wonderful vacation on the island of Kauai.

Wonderful Honeymoon Escape!

My new bride and I just returned from our stay at this property, and we both had an absolutely marvelous time. The view of the ocean upon first stepping foot in the condo was breathtaking, and I must admit that looking at the pictures of the place now (having been stateside for a couple of days) makes me wish I was back there again! The full service kitchen was great (I'm an avid cook) - especially the cooktop. Most places I've stayed in the islands have a rather lackluster stovetop, but the burners heat up quickly and are easy to control. Everything else in the kitchen (utensils, blender, pots & pans) was equally excellent. The property is ideally located among a number of other properties, and has a nice little "secret path" down to a rocky ocean shore (with a sign indicating that you follow the path at your own risk) that was a wonderful spot for watching the sunset. The owner is wonderful to deal with, and supplied us with a plethora of information regarding activities, dining, and everything else we would want or need to know about Poipu. We will be back!

Great Condo on Adventure Island

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kauai and this condo was a welcome retreat. It was very clean and the owner offers great customer service. She was very prompt in answering questions and offering an informational packet with personal recommendations. It made our stay very worry free. The condo is in a great location and we loved to sit on the lanai and eat our meals. We were also allowed to use the owner's pool chairs, boogie boards, and coolers. In some of our past vacations we had to purchase these items which was an added expense. Then we would leave them, so we wouldn't have to fly them home. Our two boys enjoyed the tennis court and basektball court too. Lots of great restaurants and shopping are just down the road.

This condo pretty much has it all. I have rented numerous condos through internet sites all over the US, this condo is definately one of the best. The owners have equipped it with pretty much everything you would need to facilitate a great Hawaiian vacation. The complex is fairly small, nice and quiet, wonderful ocean views, friendly folks, nice pool and hot tub, nice community grilling facility, etc etc etc.

This condo is ideal for a family. The kitchen is well equipped including a fridge with a large freezing compartment. We enjoyed suppers on the lanai while we watched for whales. Each person had their own space after a day of adventures together. Walks both east and west of the condo are wonderful. The pool and hot tub were clean and attractive. The unit was clean and well maintained and the owner was quick to respond to rental request and security deposit refund.

I did a great deal of searching for a place to rent. I honestly don't think we could have found a better place or a better price for what was offered. The part that was most important to us was the communication between the owner and us. You can expect immediate, direct and honest replies to any questions that you might have. For the Winter months, the location of the condo which is in the South is perfect because the Northern part of the Island is very windy and you can't swim or snorkel. We highly recommend this place and plan on coming back.

We stayed in Kauai for one week and had a blast. I loved the location of this condo as we could walk everywhere and we were really close to the ocean. This condo is wonderful and we really enjoyed ourselves. We went hiking a few times which was amzing, went to a couple of beaches and made a point to see the whole island. It was nice to come back and swim at the pool and sit in the hot tub. Thanks Bonnie for all your great tips on things to do. One thing I will always remember is if it's raining head West and thats exactly what we did and everytime it wasn't raining.

My husband and I vacationed for a week with our two teenage daughters. We absolutely loved the condo and found it very clean and just as described/pictured. The view was spectacular and we felt right at home. The welcome basket was a nice touch and the beach chairs/umbrella were great. There were so many activities and not enough time. The condo is centrally located which made it easy to travel to the Waimea Canyon as well as the Kilaeau Lighthouse. We went on a helicopter ride, luaua, ziplining and Allerton Gardens. We also relaxed on the beaches and watched the sunsets from the property grounds. The owner was extremely easy to work with and was very willing to provide recommendations for activities. We would stay again and will recommend the condo to our friends.

We been frequent visitors to Kauai (Poipu) and found this condo on VRBO and look forward to returning. As you drive up to the complex, the parking lot side appears to be a little worn and dated, but don't be deceived by the exterior. This unit was very clean and appears to have gone through a recent and very tasteful upgrade. Each day we observed whales and dolphins from the balcony with the wonderful ocean view. The grounds and pool were very quiet and peaceful. It is only a short walk along the ocean to the Hyatt to grab a morning paper and enjoy the scenery. The unit does have a number of stairs and this could be a drawback for those with limited mobility. My family definitely wants to go back to this spot and we look forward to working again with this very helpful owner.

We had a wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable stay in this condo. From the moment we arrived to the sight of a pod of dolphins, to breaching whales, and sights of sea turtles all from the lanai. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets from the rocky lava points on each side of the property. We elected to drive short distances to a variety of beaches for boogie boarding, snorkeling, and swimming. Within easy access to many island activities from hiking, helicopter rides, sightseeing. and shopping. The condo was modern, comfortable, clean and had many ammenities. The development was generally quiet. Am anxiously awaiting our next chance to vacation here. I would pick this condo in a flash. (The development has lots of stairs, so not the best design for anyone with hip or knee limitations.)

We stayed here with our family (two children aged 8 and 10) at the end of January. We found the condo exactly as described on the website and perfect for us. We could hear the sea from our bedroom window every night. Our kids loved the fact that each had their own space (and also their own TV!) - my son had the second bedroom and our daughter had one of the single beds in the loft. We used the tennis court which is in great shape. There are tennis rackets available for rent from the condo office that are of reasonable quality ($5 for a 24 hour period). We were able to see quite a few whales right from our lanai (deck) which faces the ocean. The kids also really loved the fact that the condo had a pool - they weren't always up for a beach day. I also liked that the 1st level of this condo was on the second floor - this made it (and the deck) more private. The last time we came to Poipu we stayed at a house near the Kiahuna golf course. We liked this place a lot better because it is so close to the water. We were lucky with the weather (sunny and warm nearly every day) but it can be rainy at time during the time we were there (Jan). We had a great, relaxing vacation and will most likely come back here again. The owner is really great to deal with and very helpful. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars.

My wife and I stayed in this condo for two weeks on our honeymoon. We'd been to Kauai in the past and knew that we wanted to stay in the Poipu area because of the great beach, restaurants, and central location. The condo was clean and we made good use of the well-equipped kitchen. Some of the highlights from our trip included an offroad adventure on the hunter trails in Waimea Canyon, a sunset dinner at the Beach House Restaurant (we HIGHLY recommend the Majestic Mai Tai!) and a day trip to the north shore for snorkeling at Tunnels and Ke'e beaches. We will be coming back in 2009!

My wife and I, our two children and another couple stayed in this beautiful cozy condo. The ocean front view is wonderful. The ocean breeze is perfect. We absolutely loved it. The condo is very clean and well kept.It is located very close to everything: beaches shops and restaurants. The owner is more than helpful and very easy to work with. The condo was amazing! We spent 11 days there and enjoyed the breathtaking view that is always right there in front of you.The condo is very nicely done, very clean and comfortable. Daily walks on the lava bluffs are highly recommended. Turtles show up constantly. What a treat. We will be coming back for sure.

A wonderful place! The condo was fantastic, spacious, CLEAN, everything updated, new and in fantastic condition. The views of the ocean and sunsets were perfect, we ended every day at the beach around the pool and hot tub, watching the sun set. We saw whales & monk seals daily. We were walking distance to the fancy hotels and poipu beach in the other direction, with great snorkeling there.We really used the grill area as well. Great condo. One the the best places that we have stayed. It exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately we were only able to rent for one week during our two weeks in Kauai. The welcome basket of goodies was greatly appreciated as we sat on the lanai watching the whales. Hope to be able to stay here again.

This was our first trip to the islands and first use of vrbo. Very pleased with our accomadations nicely maintained and the view was wonderful from the lanai every morning while having coffee. very glad we chose kauai/poipu area very laid back and quiet great for getting away from it all. We just returned from 10 beautiful days Feb 6th to Feb 16th 2008 in Kauai. My wife discovered this condo while searching for accommodation on Kauai. Given that this was our first experience using the VRBO site we were very pleased. The view from the lannai was excellent and the property had been very nicely remodeled. The owner was easy to deal with and was most helpful with suggestions for our stay. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful but we especially loved watching the humpback whale activity right from the lannai. We want to go back!
