This beautiful, condo is located on the corner of the 14th floor, almost Penthouse Level! With an oversized balcony and incredible sunset view, you can see for miles down the beach.
Our unit is professionally decorated in fun bright colors with upscale furnishings. The master bedroom and guest queen bedroom feature deluxe pillow-top mattresses with custom black-out draperies and access to gulf front balcony. The third bedroom is twin over full bunk room that is ideal for kids. All bedrooms have flat screen TVs with DVD players.
The Lighthouse is the newest and one of the nicest condominium complexes in Gulf Shores, and the largest condominium building on Pleasure Island!
The Lighthouse is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico and is near entertainment, restaurants, and shopping including grocery stores. The complex has complete amenities, including: indoor pool, two outdoor pools (one lap pool and one zero-entry pool for the kids), exercise room, and a boardwalk to the beach.
The Lighthouse condominium building is located on Highway 182 (East Beach Boulevard), approximately seven-tenths mile east of Highway 59. Drive times are as follows: Pensacola, Florida (45 minutes), Mobile, Alabama (one hour), New Orleans, Louisiana (three hours), and Birmingham, Alabama (four hours).

Fun vacation, but would not stay at this particular unit again.

Pool needed skimmed for bugs.However, the children had a blast playing in the pool with the fountains.The atmosphere was good except for the nudity we saw from our balcony to another. We did appreciate the performance by the security guards. We could watch dolphins almost every morning from the balcony. As for this particular unit: Water pressure was horrible, the girls had to wash their hair with their swim suits on with the water hoses down by the pool that are used to wash sand off after being at the beach. The bunk bed room mattresses were uncomfortable the girls ranging from 21 to 24 who were sleeping on them all complained of their back hurting in the mornings. The bed in the 2nd bedroom was not steady and would make a horrible thumping noise against the wall every time some one would roll over. Overall the unit was clean. The dishwasher did want to actually "fall out" of its place but a maintenance man came promptly to fix it with no troubles.

We stayed 3 nights in October and had a wonderful time. The condo is beautiful with an even more beautiful view from the balcony. The decor is so warm and comfortable(the denim couch esp.!), I didn't have to worry that my 6 and 8 year old boys would destroy anything! Myself,my husband and our boys, my friend and her 12 and 14 year old daughters, and my cousin all stayed there very comfortably. The kids loved the pools and the ocean was still perfect for swimming.We will be back!!!

Our family stayed in this condo and it was wonderful. We will look for this particular condo again next year. Not only are the views and amount of space fantastic, it was clean, well maintained, and furnished completely down to the kitchen utensils. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. The rental process was also very convenient. Not having much experience with condos, I wasn't sure what to expect. The owners were very easy to work with. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back.
