An enchanting resort, Beech Mountain offers 15 ski trails, amazing waterfalls, special hiking trails (right down the street), tubing, sledding, ice skating, snow boarding, cross country skiing, Ski for Free: Ladies on Monday, and Men on Thursday. The Buckeye Recreation Center offers indoor rock climbing, a running track, indoor tennis, basketball and Volleyball courts, fitness classes of any sort, martial arts, crafts and special events.
Beech Mountain is kid friendly, with a nursery for toddlers six months to three years, youth learning center three to 14 years and day and night sledding. For meals out, there is a variety of exceptional restaurants to include Jackalope’s View, Zudza’s Tapas (wow), some home style eateries, take-outs, breakfast only specials, along with a few delicatessens, coffee bars, homemade fudge shops, a pizza parlor and sports tavern.
There are quaint shops, toy stores and the famous Fred’s Mercantile-- make sure you go by and see Fred! And, this is only on Beech Mountain’s Winter Wonderland. At the base of the mountain, only a few minutes away is the quaint town of Banner Elk with its own assortment of outfitters, entertainment and restaurants, along with its Sugar Mountain ski slopes.
Just a few minutes away is skiing at Seven Devil’s Hawksnest trails. Lees McRae College in Banner Elk offers theater and other cultural events. The city of Boone hosts Appalachian State University. Around the university are unique stores--a fun place to shop. And don't forget a Specail day Visit to Blowing Rock, you'll be glad you did.

Why the Owner Chose Beech Mountain
David (in college at the time) and Dad Harvey was taking a road trip from Washington D.C. to Harvey's home in Florida when they stopped for a few days in Beech Mountain, NC. Father and Son time was important as David Was going to college in Calif. and at 22 yrs. old was feeling like life was just passing him by. We went White Water Rafting and met 8 Young men enjoying a bachlor party there who was kind enough to explain how this was one of the most important times of his life and to just enjoy the moment. Time goes by and before he knows it he is 30 yrs and married with children. Just enjoy his college days. Wow couldn't have said it better. Thanks Beech Mountain Guys.

We Love the fact that this home is right on the 18th Green of Beech Mountain Golf Course and can enjoy the golfers from any of the 4 Decks. + Play a round our selves. Since the home is only 1 mile from the Ski Lifts at Beech Mountain this is a wonderful home to enjoy the Winter Months.

Our family loves coming to the mountains of North Carolina, but we LOVE the fact that our home is overlooking the 18th Green. Ever since we vacationed in Beech Mountain we've been going back to vacation as often as we can. As our family feels
it's the perfect place to take the kids. They couldn't get enough of the mountain hiking. They were just amazed the first time we took them to do White Water Rafting. Hiking at Grandfather Mountain - they said, "Cool, it's like they see on Discovery Channnel!" There was no question, we had to invest in our own "Beech House."
