Beech Mountain condo description
Snow has already arrived at Beech Mountain!! Come to the highest place around and experience the best skiing, sledding and tubing around.
This one bedroom unit has gorgeous views. There is a Flat
Panel TV mounted above the wood-burning fireplace in the cozy Great Room. It has Cable, wireless internet on site, new paint and a new refrigerator.
The new bedding accessories (quilt, pillows, etc.) make this home-away-from-home feel sparkling and bright.
The complex boasts an indoor heated pool, 4 hot tubs, shuffleboard, tennis, miniature golf, billiards, ping-pong, arcade games, social activities calendar, decking with grills, playground, walking trails and more.
There are year round activities in this neck of the woods....spring hiking, summer's cool breezes, fall's leaf spectacular and winter skiing. Come any time of year for your best vacation yet.
Think of all the activities available very nearby - from Gem Mining to Stocked Trout Fishing to Shopping to Tweetsie Railroad to ASU Football Games (National Champions Three Years in a row so far) to skiing to hiking to The Daniel Boone Inn (gotta eat there!!) to mountain biking to snowboarding to golf to the quaint town of Blowing Rock...the list goes on and on - you'll want to make this your vacation spot over and over again.
The sleeping arrangement include a queen bed in the Master and a sleeper sofa in the living area. There are two child-sized bunk beds in the hallway that will accommodate children up to about 80 lbs. The bunk beds are really for children....don't think an adult can sleep there...they won't fit! LOL
Spring provides mountain laurel, hiking and lots of outdoor activities.
Summer provides respite from the heat.....the hottest it has ever gotten up there is 76 degrees...with very little humidity. It is wonderful!!! During the summer, there are lots of activities on the rivers around the area with canoing, rafting, fishing, swimming, etc. The resort has privileges over at Beech Mountain Country Club so you can use their outdoor pool and golf amenities.
Fall is one of my favorite times of year up there with the absolute slendor of fall colors that cover the mountains. Amazing!! The outdoor activities are year-round with the Blue Ridge Parkway a favorite destination.
Winter: The ski shuttle picks you up on site and transfers you right to the "front door" of Ski Beech. No parking hassles, no dealing with traffic, just pure enjoyment.
And if you’re not a skier….try the sledding hill next to the Beech Mountain Municipal building. They make snow for the hill, it’s free and there are snowpans (oops...used to be..someone must have mistakenly taken them) at the condo for your use or if you like a little more excitement you can ice skate and tube at Ski Beech. If you get bored with Ski Beech, Sugar Mountain is just down the "hill and around the corner."

worth it - ok for the age of unit

I rented this place with my 2 little kiddos for our annual sledding trip to the mountains. The owner's daughter (Caroline) was delightful to deal with, by the way. It was because of her that we chose this 1 bedroom over a different 2 bedroom for the same price. We had a difficult time finding the place initially, but after that we were ok...until the keys didn't work...then back to the office and tried those 2 keys...which also didn't work...tried to call the owner, got a hold of the owner's son...but the lack of cell phone reception made it hard...back to the front desk, who called maintenance for help. We were freezing waiting outside the condo, but fortunately, the maintenance man came quickly, was quite friendly and within 15 minutes he had oiled the lock and gotten it to work pretty well. The "comfy" fold-out...ugh...NOT so much...and while there were plenty of extra blankets, there weren't extra sheets for the foldout couch. The bed was pretty comfortable and my kids argued over the super cool kid-sized hallway bunk beds. There was some sort of military retreat going on that weekend, so it was REALLY noisy all night long. The porch/balcony area had cigarette butts and empty trash bags hanging out...we thought maybe the cleaning people just forgot about it, so no big deal. The dishes and glasses in the cabinets were dirty too. We found out that perhaps this was because the guests are supposed to wash and put away all of the dishes they used (which is no problem for us) but I think previous guests didn't do so much washing as maybe just did some rinsing...no dishwasher either. I was happy to see that there were plenty of cleaning supplies for us to use...other rentals I have used didn't have that. We were pretty darn happy with the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room...we spent lots of time doing that in between the sledding :) Overall, I would say that since we got a good deal, it was worth the money and for an older unit, it was in reasonable shape.

My son and I stayed quite comfortably in this 1bdr condo. Of all the 1bdr ski condos I have stayed in, It is BY FAR the best. The owners do all that is possible to ensure you are comfortable in their place. it is extremely well stocked, everything is updated and the email communication is excellent. It is very close to Beech (we drove instead of utilizing the shuttle because it was not busy), you can actually see Sugar and Beech in the same view. I highly recommend it!

A Cool Summer Getaway!
A Cool Summer Getaway!
What a wonderful place to get away from the heat in the summer months! The scenery was beautiful and the temps stayed in the 70s during the day and high 50's to low 60's at night. We even built a beautiful fire in our fireplace two nights we were there! The condo was decorated with a lodge theme and everything was very clean. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The amenities offered at The Pinnacle were a plus too! We'd certainly go back! For the price, it can't be beat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pinnacle Inn Resort. The unit was small but clean and only steps away from the indoor pool. The weather was in the low 70s and almost no humidity. The owner was great to work with. I would recommend this property.

We chose this unit because of the bunk beds, the pool and the shuttle, and we used all three. We were lucky to see some real snow while there and the kids loved the sledding hill down the street. You have a cozy unit, which was just right for our family for a couple of nights. All in all it was a great stay and a memorable getaway!

This condo was perfect for a ski weekend at Beech Mountain! It's in a great location, with gorgeous views and easy access to the ski resort. The condo was very clean and comfortable and we'd definitely rent it again. There's plenty to do at the Pinnacle Inn Resort too. I just wish we could have stayed longer!
