Bear Valley is an idyllic mountain resort nestled in the western slopes of Alpine County, between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, only three and one-half hours from the San Francisco Bay area. Located off of Highway 4, a less traveled and highly maintained road that almost never closes in winter, and does not experience the Tahoe traffic jams!
Bear Valley offers a great variety of activities from skiing in winter to hiking, biking, and other summer activities including classical and popular music festivals. Bear Valley is refreshingly different; more wilderness, fewer crowds, yet some of the best winter and summer recreation anywhere. If you are looking for a spectacular alternative to other busy mountain resorts like Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, Bear Valley is the place for you.
This well-maintained and cozy alpine cabin features four bedrooms and a loft, two full baths, large living room with wood stove, and roomy kitchen with modern appliances. There are three bedrooms upstairs featuring scenic views: Room #1 has a full-size bed and connects to a bathroom; Room #2 has a queen-size bed; and Room #3 has two twins beds. The downstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed. A newly remodeled bath features full shower and granite vanity. A queen-size sofa-sleeper in the living room provide added sleeping space.
In the Summer, you drive right to the cabin. However in the Winter, Bear Valley cabins are closed to cars, adding to its beauty and peacefulness. After you park once in the central parking lot, this cabin is only a five-minute walk from the Lodge and Restaurants. FREE shuttle buses take you right to the ski lodge every hour and back home on the half hour, or you can ski down the Home Run at the end of the day, right to the cabin door!
We provide plastic sleds for you to carry in your belongings; snowmobile transportation service can be arranged from the Bear Valley Transportation Center if required for an extra fee.

Winter/Spring 2011 rates: Fri-Sat = $375.00; Sun-Thurs = $325.00
Holiday rate = $400/night with 3 night minimum

Reservations require a 50% deposit and signed rental agreement
Balance due 2 weeks before arrival, plus $250.00 refundable security deposit

We spent MLK weekend at your lovely, comfortable cabin. It was ideal for a couple of families with school age children (including downhill, x-country and non-skiiers)--walking distance to everything without the need for a snowmobile! Well-stocked with games & videos for kids. Very cozy furnishings and nice set-up. We will definitely return. Thank you!!!

I just wanted to let you know what a great time we had at your cabin in Bear Valley. Thank you so much for everything! What a wonderful place you have. We are so thankful we had the opportunity to experience the Bear Valley Village. We have been skiing at Bear Valley for years, and this was by far was the best ever. The weather was beautiful, the skiing was terrific, and the accommodations were the best. We even got in a great day of snowmobiling up Hwy 4. Our family wants to make this our new yearly tradition. Hopefully you will still be renting next year. Again, thanks for everything.
