*****Question: Why was Seas the Day rented ALL SUMMER while many places were empty half the summer? Could it be how beautiful the place is? That it is right on the beach? Or is it the very reasonable rates? Find out for yourself!*********

This is the most beautiful house on Topsail!

Now wait a minute...I bet you think I'm just saying that. Well look at what some of are guests have said (see the full comment on the link below):

"The website does not do this house justice! It is gorgeous, and the views of the beach and water are amazing from every room. " Bonnie from Va

"Seas the Day is one of the best vacation houses I have stayed in. ... You will not be disappointed if you rent this place" Norma Jean from Ohio

"I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a wonderful beach house that has one of the best vistas in Topsail." Mark from Northern Va

"Loved that house!!!!!! oh my, the walk to the pier was wonderful and so pretty. the house was perfect and held my whole family! it was an awesome vacation! thank you so much! wonderful!" Jessica from Ohio

And it goes on. You will truly love your stay at Seas the Day.

Located just 1 mile south of the Surf City pier, you're close to all the activity, yet just far enough away to enjoy the tranquility that lives here also. As a matter of fact, you may note some of our guests jokingly refer to the "Buddy's walk". Buddy's is a bar/restaurant by the pier, which is a nice 1 mile walk on the beach. Some people, including my brother, myself and our two wives like to walk down to Buddy's at lunch time, watch the surfers by the pier, order oyster shooters, and... possibly a cerveza or two (that's Spanish for beer) and maybe a tequila shooter. Well, the walk back is now quite enjoyable. We often just come back, lay out a towel and catch some rays and a snooze. The Buddy's walk - a perfect way to spend a vacation day.

Do you like to bike or run? There is a bike shoulder on the main road the entire way from the north side of Surf City to the south tip of the island. The island is like 22 miles long, so you can get a good work out.

Recently I rode my bike to the south end, and the smell of Jasmin and ocean air was unbelievable. I stopped on the far south point of the island and walked around the beach on the undeveloped point. I then rode back to Topsail Beach city hall and said hi to the ladies who worked there. (They had kindly sent me an invitation to pay real estate tax in their city even though my house was in Surf City. I graciously declined :-) but they were very pleasant.) I then rode back to Surf City and promptly bought an ice cream cone at DQ just to make sure I hadn't burnt off too many calories.

Believe me, this place is fun.

And I haven't even told you about Giligan's, just before the bridge on the mainland side and it's hilarious karaoke nights, or about Sears Landing and its award winning clam chowder made with sherry, or Indigo Marsh - the best restaurant overlooking the sound that you will ever find. Oh, and how about the fresh fish market (I mean right off the boat) behind the Crab Pot where you can get shrimp, flounder, shark or whatever they have been catching and take it back and grill it at Seas the Day.

You can play 18 holes at Coastal Carolina's only four-star golf course, North Shore Golf and Ocean Club (as per Golf Digest).

Surf shops that make me wish I was 18 again, Andy's and Island Delights that serve 50's style burgers and malts, the Surf City Wine and Cheese Shop (I go in for the weekly wine tastings and just the great smell!), II Bouchaines, and on and on. You won't want to leave.

And I haven't even talked about surf fishing, kayaking, surfing, jet skiing and more (check out the ALL CAPS paragraph below to see my web site for MORE things to do with phone numbers, addresses, etc.)

Seas the Day is BEACH FRONT. It is not a piano lot, a view lot, or across the street from the ocean. It is direct OCEANFRONT property.

My teenage son once walked up the stairs to the living room and said "This place just makes you smile!"

I still think OUR GUESTS SAY IT BEST:

"We loved the outside shower, complete wtih room for dry clothes and towels! Very kid friendly, my 13-month-old niece could wander around and the gates kept her safe. Topsail itself is so peaceful. We went to the sound side a few times to fish, canoe, and take the baby swimming. We golfed, ran, sailed (you have very nice neighbors who invited us!), and fished from the surf (caught sharks, stingrays, and a few fish). Such a great house -- plenty of space, well decorated, and everything you need in the kitchen for eating in!" Bonnie VA

Jim Murray from GA agrees wholeheartedly:

"My sister and I are both recently retired school teachers. For over 25 years we have talked about renting a beach house on the North Carolina coast, big enough to house all of our families. ... This house was everything we had dreamed about. It was RIGHT ON THE WATER,...

"Setting on our porch, we could watch the sun rise each morning. In the evening we could drive to the end of the island and watch the sun sink into the ocean....I bought 5 kites and one day we all spent the day flying them. ... We enjoyed the secluded walks on the beach and the discovery of hundreds of sea shells. We saw dolphins swimming by several times. The only regret we had, was that we couldn't stay for another week."

    • This is a beautiful house - we really enjoyed our stay last week, even though the remnants of a tropical storm came through on Wednesday. Even during a storm, the ocean is wonderful to watch, which is exactly what we did from the comfort of the living room! We've always used a real estate company for our beach rentals before, so I wasn't sure what kind of service we'd get from a private owner. I'm very pleased to say the service was terrific. We had a problem with the washer during our stay and the owner's response was very fast - better than we'd have gotten from a real estate company.

      Homeowner Response:
These guests were wonderful. The washing machine broke down the day before Veterans Day. I couldn't get the appliance guy to come out until the day after - and that was fair, he was a vet who had served us proudly. Then he told me that we should buy a new one, so we did, but that took a day. I'm glad they had a good time. We try to get our maintenance people over there asap if anything breaks down.

    • We just returned from a week at Seas the Day. What a wonderful home--so cozy and clean. Thanks so much for sharing with us Steve. We had the best week ever! The Jack McCarty Family

      Homeowner Response:
Tami was an absolute doll. In fact, we had had the carpet cleaned the day before she arrived, but the carpet people had left all the chairs stacked in the kitchen and on the bed to let the floor dry and they didn't come back to place them down again. I felt so bad for the inconvenience, that I had my maintenance person go over immediately to set them down and I bought Tami and her family dinner on us. We may not always be perfect, but you will get responsive from my wife and I! Thanks Tami for the kind words.

    • Great house for our favorite time--just after Labor Day! We had wonderful weather with low humidity. My little adventure dog and I kayaked from the soundside park, and were underneath when the swing bridge opened! Pretty cool. Lots of room for the seven of us--love the sun deck/covered deck option and the "long-legged" deck chairs! Thanks, Steve.

      Homeowner Response:
Shelley has been one of our repeat guests. Thanks for coming down and relieving the stress.

The children had a blast in their own space with 4 bunkbeds! I remember now how much I love Topsail Island.....what a wonderful family beach it is! Thank you for allowing us to use your house. Your are truly blessed to have such a great place! Catherine Atkins and the rest of the gang

      Homeowner Response:
Thanks Catherine. I'm glad your gang had such a fun time.

    • Our family stayed at Seas The Day in March 2009. We met our daughter with 4 of her girlfriends who were on spring break from college. We also took our 5th grader and her friend. The house is large enough to accomodate these type of various age interests. The beds were all comfortable and we loved the large kitchen/family room. The house is beautifully decorated and exceptionally orderly which gives to thinking and reflecting as well. We have visited Topsial on many occasions and love the quietness of this area. Thank you. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely.

      Homeowner Response:
Tricia - we were glad to have you as guests. Spring break is a great time to come but you'll have to try a summer - or indian summer visit some time.

    • My sister and I are both recently retired school teachers. For over 25 years we have talked about renting a beach house on the North Carolina coast, big enough to house all of our families. I went on line and for several months looked for our dream beach house. I found a beach house in Surf City on Topsail Island, North Carolina. The name of the house was SEAS THE DAY. This house was everything we had dreamed about. It was RIGHT ON THE WATER, in a beautiful location with plenty of privacy. The house had everything, it even had a blender in the kitchen. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was beautifully decorated, by someone who knew what they were doing. Setting on our porch, we could watch the sun rise each morning. In the evening we could drive to the end of the island and watch the sun sink into the ocean. There are not too many places in the world where you can experience such an event. I bought 5 kites and one day we all spent the day flying them. There are several outstanding restaurants nearby, we especially liked a restaurant called Sear's Landing. Thy had a crab sandwich that was out of this world. We enjoyed the secluded walks on the beach and the discovery of hundreds of sea shells. We saw dolphins swimming by several times. The only regret we had, was that we couldn't stay for another week. Jerry from Murrayville, Georgia, we plan to go back.

      Homeowner Response:
We are glad you had a great time. The beach and island is so peaceful. It really refreshes your soul. We hope you will come and visit again.

    • What a lovely house! We had a great week last week - loved the decor and the open layout. The location is perfect. We liked it so much we've already booked it for the same week next year!

      Homeowner Response:
Thanks Jane. And we'd be glad to have you back next year. In fact, it was a good idea to book early because we just had our busiest year ever and people are already inquiring about next summer.

    • Thank you for sharing your beach house with our family. The house was great and the location on the beach was perfect. We loved the high deck chairs and spent a lot of time there reading and watching the waves. We especially enjoyed seeing the sea turtles hatch and walking the beach to collect shells. Also, it was fun eating at the local restaurants. For me, it was just the place I needed to recover from surgery. When our week was over, we all agreed that we would love to return to your house for more fun and relaxation.

      Homeowner Response:
Topsail is very healing, and I certainly hope and pray for your full recovery. Thanks for being our guest.

    • Fantastic beach house! We had great fun boogie boarding all week long. Found scores of sharks teeth on our beach walks. Outdoor shower was great for getting all the sand off after a day at the beach.
