The view from the living and dining rooms and porch to the Sound and Mount Baker across your big gently sloping yard is a joy to wake to each morning. You can see Patos and Matia Islands. Relax on the wicker furniture and watch the sun rise, eagles soar and deer graze. The property is open, light and sunny all day but without the glaring sun in your eyes in the afternoon and evening. Mount Baker lights up at sunset like the sun herself!
Charming Eastsound is just 2.5 miles away with shops, restaurants and even a movie theatre. Closer still, you will find a lovely park with tennis, skate board park and basketball. Moran State Park (a 12 mintute drive) is Washington's fourth largest park with incredible hiking, swimming and fishing.
The home is furnished nicely, but is not precious so you can relax and enjoy your family time together. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, and a "sunroom"-room with two dormer windows with a view to the sound. 2 rooms have queens (one also has a twin daybed), 1 room has two twins and the dormer room has a queen fold out bed. There is a shared fully remodeled full bath upstairs. The downstairs bed is adjacent to the 2nd full bath and has a queen bed. The dining and living area both view the sound and mountains and are comfortably large with high ceilings and built-ins. There are no high cliffs or decks so it is very safe for young children.
Two ok bikes are available and kayaks may be rented in town.

"Our extended family of 7 has had a fabulous week on Orcas Island! The weather was outstanding, the scenery was breath-taking. We so enjoyed exploring this beautiful place by day and returning to such a well-equipped, cozy house each night.
The house couldn't be more beautifully situated-the view of the mountains across the water is truly magnificent. We saw an amazing moon rise last night which reflected off of the water. Thanks for offering this great place as a rental-we absolutely loved our time here!" Stenzil Monrovia and Gridley, CA
"What a fabulous place!! Our first visit to Orcas Island and for sure not our last. And when we do make it back this is the beach home we will be wanting to stay at. Great location, beach was as private as it gets, great warm comfortable home with a classic wood stove, great kitchen and everything you could ever need. Great BBQ too! High speed internet access was nice to have. Incredible views of Mt. Baker. I could go on. Homeowners are great and were very accesible. You could tell they were genuinely concerned with our overall satisfaction. You will be very happy staying here!" Perry Family, Portland, OR |
