Welcome to "A Wee Bit Of Paradise"
This is one of Seabrooks finest Summerwind rentals. With 1306 square feet of charming living space, this is the perfect choice for a family, couples, golfers, tennis enthusiasts, or girlfriend getaways. The house is located on the second hole of the Ocean Winds Golf Course and within a short walk of Pelican Beach.
Seabrook Island is the perfect place to vacation. In addition to swimming and playing on the beach this gated community offers a full range of sports and recreational facilities. You can enjoy golf, tennis, horseback riding with trail rides along the beach, uncrowded beaches, fishing, crabbing, shelling, biking, dolphin watching, sunset walks, boating, sailing, nature trails, restaurants, shopping, or just relax on the beach or at one of the pools.
The Beach club provides you with views of the Ocean and the use of two pools (one heated), a kiddie pool, poolside towel service, dining, and drinks. Children can enjoy hours of entertainment at the recreation pavilion and playground. Activities like crabbing, clamming, bike excursions, Alligator viewing, and arts and crafts are offered.
"A Wee Bit Of Paradise" has everything you're looking for in your "Home away from home" vacation rental. Enjoy a fully equipped eat in kitchen, stacked washer and dryer, gas grill, large screened porch with rattan table and chairs, and a rattan couch. There are games, a DVD/VCR library, books on tape with a headset/earphones, and a playstation with several games for your enjoyment. On the open lower level there is an enclosed shower and changing area as well as a recreational area with a hammock, a regular swing for two, a multiple use game table, a magnetic dart board, and a table and chairs for your relaxation and enjoyment.
The house is airy and bright. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on one side of the house with private bath and access to the screened in porch. The other two bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house. They share a full bath, and have access to the sun deck. These bedrooms are separated from the great room by a door, allowing for privacy. A single bed Ottoman has been added to the Cottage red room for a 7th sleeper. It is on Castors and can be relocated. The Cottage is also now equipped with a high speed internet connection.
There are TV's with DVD/VCR players in all rooms, and on the screened porch. The playstation will work with all of them.
DVD's and the playstation with games are in the living room coffee table drawers.

Seabrook Island is now charging the homeowners who rent, a $30.00 per night fee, or $180.00 per week for renters who want an Amenity Card. The rental fee will now include this $180.00 amenity card fee which will give you access to golf, tennis, pool, equestrian, or dining. If you are simply looking for a beach vacation, you can choose to bypass this fee and not pick up amenity cards, and the rental fee will be reduced accordingly by $180.00. You must make a decision before signing the rental contract.
Reservation/security deposit of [$300.00] required. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent, as is stipulated in the contract you agree to and sign. It is fully refundable except for a static cleaning fee of $100.00 for the cleaning service after you have left. The $200 will be refunded within (14) days of departure, provided the inspector determines that there is no damage or loss. The animals should be kept off the furniture and bedding. If you bring an animal and the cleaning personnel have to take extra time to clean hair from the furniture and bedding, the extra cleaning time charges will be deducted from the deposit.
Charleston County, SC, now has a tax rate of 11% which must be added to all rentals.
Smoking is not allowed in the Cottage.

This home had everything you could want. Lovely decor. The rooms were comfortable and roomy. The screened porch was seductive. There were bikes and video games with TVs in every room. Loved the porch swing! We enjoyed getting out and walking. The beach was an easy hike. The owners couldn't have been nicer to work with and were so considerate! It was an excellent adventure!

The owners were great to work with and always responded promptly to any questions or concerns. The home is well cared-for, clean and fresh. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare and serve meals for a family, even the cleaning supplies. Linens and towels were included, as well as extras like hand soaps and lotions in the bathrooms. We appreciated the tvs in every room. The number of bikes for adults and children as well as the extra beach chairs came in handy. The space downstairs gave us extra room for the smaller kids to have a wading pool and small sprinkler to enjoy in the evening. Beach and pool access was an easy drive or bike ride with the children. Definitely met and even exceeded our expectations!

Our Thanksgiving week at “Wee Bit of Paradise” was simply great. Family members from FL, OH, and SC met to enjoy the holiday and were more than pleased with the accommodations and amenities. Jim and Maryann have done a wonderful job of preparing activities for kids of all ages; games, movies, bikes, fishing poles, etc., which makes for a fun get-away any time of the year. The Internet photos don’t do the property justice; the house is more spacious than expected and we loved the screened porch, which is perfect for family meals or just hangin’ out. Jim responded to our rental request very quickly and answered all of our pre-trip questions. We highly recommend “Wee Bit of Paradise”.

We were recently at Wee Bit of Paradise and really enjoyed our time at Seabrook Island. The cottage was clean and comfortable, well organized and lots of activities to do. From Dish Network in every room to the extensive TV and book collection, we were entertained in the evenings. Plenty of kitchen appliances and gadgets to cook-in and enjoy the patio. The outdoor shower and hose made beach return with the dogs simple and convenient. Bikes and baby carrier were a nice touch eliminating the need to rent. A lovely home, we will certainly return.

A Wee Bit of Paradise for Everyone

When I first saw the pictures and description of "A Wee Bit of Paradise" it seemed right for our family. When we arrived it was perfect. We loved the layout of the house with the outdoor shower, hammock, swing, and game table. The upstairs was great, just like the pictures! There really was something for the whole family. My husband loved grilling and sitting on the porch watching the golfers and playing his guitar. My sister, the twins, and I loved riding the bikes to the pool or beach. At night, we enjoyed dining on the screened porch and playing the board games or watching a movie together. There was a great selection of movies and Playstation games for the kids. We loved the location of the cottage. The kids could ride their bikes or roller blade safely. It was a short bike ride to the pool or beach access. The pool was a great alternative to the beach with the restaurant and Pelican Beach shop altogether. We did leave the island to go surfing on Folly Beach. It was about a 40 minute drive. Lindsey and I also enjoyed a relaxing trail ride at the equestrian center on Seabrook (Don't forget to call for your reservations.) Our final night, June 3rd, we enjoyed dinner at the Pelican Beach restaurant where we could see fireworks on North Beach and Kiawah Island. Jim and Maryann were so helpful. They promptly answered any questions that we had. We had a wonderful vacation at Wee Bit of Paradise and can't wait to return!

Our first stay in this unit was so nice we couldn't wait to come back a second time. It has met all our expectations and more. It is nice and clean and looks just like the pictures. The unit is very well equipped for a family with all the games, books, bikes, lawn chairs. - truly everything you need. It is comfortable, close to the beach and pool area. We love coming here and hope to return a third time.

This house fit the description exactly. Everything was great. The house was clean and had everything you could want for a vacation. We all took turns lounging on the enclosed porch; whether sleeping or watching some tv. The view was beautiful overlooking the golf course, we especially enjoyed watching the "golfers". They were entertainment in themselves. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly and only a short, scenic walk to the beach. The beach club and its amenities is only a short bicycle ride away; which was great considering the bikes were in the storage room. If you're looking for a place away from it all but not too far away then you've found it.
