We had an enjoyable time. The cabin is nice and clean. It is in a very beautiful location. It has a large area in the loft for kids to play. We will keep this place in mind for our next stay in Island Park.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

WE JUST SPENT LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT THE SUMMERS CABIN, AND WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE. THE CABIN IS BEAUTIFUL, THE SURROUNDINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL AND QUIET. IT IS WITHIN REASONABLE TRAVEL TIME TO SEE THE OUTLYING SIGHTS. I RECOMEND A WEEK TO SEE AND DO EVERYTHING AND STILL HAVE TIME TO JUST SIT AND RELAX AT THE CABIN. WE TOOK 3 OTHER COUPLES AND HAD SO MUCH FUN, I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE MY KIDS AND GRANDKIDS. THANKS TO THE FAMILY FOR KEEPING THIS PLACE SO PRETTY!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks Tonya we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our Family Cabin. We wold love to have you back in the near future!

We rented Summer Chalet for part of our summer vacation activities. We were looking for a place that was family friendly, easy to find, and large enough to accommodate 15 people. We were not disappointed. Summers Chalet is 3 floors of comfortably arranged eating, sleeping and playing areas. Throw in the nice outdoor swing set and you have a great place for families. The cabin is larger than it appears in the pictures. Our only disappointment of the stay was the Red Flag fire danger that prevented us from using the nice outdoor fire ring for evening smores. I would rent Summers Chalet again if our family plans another Island Park vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

We chose Yellowstone as our venue for a family get-together (13 of us), and the cabin ended up being the perfect choice. It had all the amenities we needed, and especially well equipped for younger children. The kids loved the foosball table and the swings, and the cabin had all the children's movies we could think of. There was ample bedding for everyone (infact ended up not using the bunk beds) and felt very spacious. Great location - just 20 minutes from west gate and wonderfully nestled in the woods. Everyone in the group loved the cabin and it really made a wonderful family get-together experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in your rental in Island Park. We’ve settled back into the real world but spent several hours last night viewing well over 600 photos taken during our family vacation. What a surprise to discover how roomy and comfortable the chalet was. Our family group was a baker’s dozen counting a friend, who is like a son, from Seattle who drove over for a couple of days. Even so, there were beds unused. We were never crowded with the three bathrooms. The younger ones enjoyed the swings and playing outside. The kitchen is so well equipped that it was a pleasure to find everything needed for meal preparation. Thank you for being so considerate of your renters. Part of our vacation was spent looking at areas of MT and Idaho suitable for retirement property, but we simply didn’t have enough time to do all that was planned. Thank you again for checking with us after our arrival to see if we were comfortable. Renting your chalet made our vacation one of the best ever!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: We are so glad your family had a wonderful time at our cabin! We would love to accommodate you in the future.

Our family stayed at Summers' Chalet 2 summers in a row. We loved it! It was so clean and well cared for. Your mother was delightful! She and one of her sisters were there when we arrived. We have recommended it to our friends who have also stayed and enjoyed it. We are so sorry for your loss. God bless you all.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed at this cabin for our family reunion and LOVED IT! Beautiful decorating, very clean and spacious enough for all 16 of us. I highly recommend staying here - I especially appreciated the price. Thanks for a great place to stay in a beautifully wooded area! We were told to bring our own towels & they really mean it - there aren't very many provided. Glad we were told ahead of time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

It's our family tradition to go up to the Cabin the day after Christmas every year. We have created so many family memories there and we know that MOM would be proud! It's great because it accommodates all of the adults and the grandkids... And not to mention how beautiful it is to spend time at the cabin in the winter or summer months.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: Our mom always had a dream about having a cabin in Island Park since she was young. When she was young her family would vacation in Island Park, ID her father would say to her and her siblings, 'that someday they should build cabins up in Island Park'. So her and her two sisters fulfilled that dream. They spent countless hours working on and helped each other finish and completed their cabins. As a family, we to worked many long hours to complete our family cabin. This cabin was something my mother wanted so that her family and grandchildren could have someplace to go and vacation. Since 2005 upon completion of our cabin and we have spent winter's snowmobiling, and summer's fishing. This cabin has been a place for creating many family memories. My mother was able to enjoy her cabin with her family for a few years, unfortunately she became diagnosed with breast cancer and battled it for a year. She passed away in Aug 2008. We love spending time up there and will continue to create many memories in a place that our mother loved... (mom is on the far left and the other women are her sisters)
