Lovely Home

We arrived in June and leave October 31. Our 5 months here have been a wonderful experience. The pictures accurately reflect the character and furnishings of the home. It's comfortable and nicely furnished. The back yard is very private and the grill and patio furniture make that a nice space to use. Having a garage was also an asset. The bedrooms are nicely sized with lots of closet space. The kitchen is cheery and has everything one needs for fixing meals. The fireplace was especially nice on cool foggy mornings when it was nice to just "take the chill" off. My husband and I do enjoy walking and within 10-15 minutes could be at the wharf, Custom Plaza, the library, downtown Monterey, and the Art Museum. The walk uphill can be a bit daunting, but is certainly doable--I preferred a saunter to an aerobic experience but either works. During June, July, and through Labor Day there is a FREE trolley that would take us from downtown out to the Aquarium. Often we would walk out and take the trolley back downtown, pick up some groceries from Trader Joe's and then walk home. This is a very comfortable, clean and well maintained property.

A Perfect Wine Tasting Getaway!

We stayed here in early September with a couple of friends for a late summer getaway. The house was perfect for two couples: Two master bedrooms, a grill in the back yard, ample parking and a great view. We had a short walk downtown and to the wharf, both perfect for a stroll through Monterey. We also went to multiple wineries in the area (all within one hour) and had the chance to sample and buy some terrific wines. Thank you for opening up your house for our visit.

Home Away From Home

We echo the Kelley's review, above. The view at night was great . . . when the fog wasn't in during our 10-day stay in August. We had a small get together early one evening (a clear evening) and our company thought we had always "lived there" as our second home. Very cozy! Thank you! We'll be back!

Owner response:I glad you enjoyed your stay in our home!

What an amazing home, we loved our stay here. This property is so well maintained from the fully equiped kitchen to the desk with office supplies in the event you had to do any work. I wish we could live here!!!! This property is located so close to everything including downtown, the wharf, the aquarium and Carmel. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who would love a beautiful home with views of the bay, a beautiful backyard to relax and play cards, and a cozy fireplace to have a glass of wine!!!

Owner response:Thanks for taking such good care of our home, please come again!

We had a wonderful stay in Monterey. The house is very comfortable and inviting--we felt at home the second we walked in. The view of the bay from the living room is fantastic. And the location is perfect as we were able to walk to and from downtown but still enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet neighborhood. We had a terrific time, and we look forward to our next visit.

Our 5 month stay has passed quickly. The house was exactly as described and pictured. It is pleasant, comfortably furnished, well maintained, and very clean home. The bedrooms are large with plenty of closet space. The backyard is very private and a nice place to relax and read or grill and share a meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
