Every picture on the web site and description is accurate. Spent a week Sept 2011-Oct 2011 in this fabulous house. You could not ask for anything more. Well stocked, wonderful beds, lovely vista's, beaches that made you never want to come back in the house. Quiet, serene, easy to get to other places. Thank you for having us Sue and Alan.

"The house was so well stocked! there was nothing we needed, felt right at home. The kids said it was the nicest place we had ever stayed. Spent alot of time on the beach walking & swimming; walking around Charlottetown & Victoria (ate at the Landmark Cafe & Sea View takeout); everyone we met was so friendly...found a baby squid on the beach!"

The 5 Day Retreat

The Fairfield House was so relaxing and peaceful. Our 3 kids really enjoyed playing on their very own private beach watching the tide roll in and out. The gorgeous red sandy beach was so breathtaking and the ocean was usually calm for the children to swim. The house was very big and spacious and the accomodations were extremely comfortable. All 3 kids could have had their very own large bedroom, some with King size beds! The house was very clean and both the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with required items. We have recommended this property to many friends and would happily go back again. Anne of Green Gables was a good stop for our girls since they had read the book and knew of the characters. Cavendish had endless activites for children. We also rented bikes along the North shore and had a beautiful ride along the beach, where the ocean was much more rough. Sue Manning was very helpful and quick to respond to our inquiries. She was available by phone when we arrived and had a nice gift and note welcoming us. Sue also called during our visit to ensure that we were comfortable and asked if we had any questions. We had such a wonderful time and a really fun visit to PEI.

This home could be featured in Canadian Living for its beachside location and decor

The property, aptly named, provided a relaxing holiday for our group of 8. We were 2 families with 4 older teenagers, The three boys shared the room with 2 queen size beds, while our daughter had her own Anne of Green Gables inspired room. The kitchen was well stocked which enabled us to pump out daily baked goods, and the home large enough that everyone had their own space if so desired. The location is breathtaking and very serene while the interior furnishings and decor reflect seaside pastel themes and accessories. I was concerned that given we were within 10 km of the confederation bridge that it would be an eyesore in the distance, but fortunately the property is nestled in a cove and the view is open space water. Whereas many people choose the Atlantic side of the island, we prefer the Northumberland side as the waters are warmer and the whole area less commercial. Tides are extreme in that you can safely walk out on the beach for significant distances. The home provides abundant beach towels, one less thing to pack. Other ammeniities including golf and Lobster dinners were about 45 minutes away, The short drive to nearby Victoria by the Sea provided award winning dining at the Inn, Island Chocolates, and candle making with Ben at his seaside "shack" on rainy days. I would highly recommend Fairfield House and encourage you to email the owners with any particular needs - they were very responsive and accomodating and obviously take great pride of ownership,

A delightful stay in PEI

Guest: Monty (Ottawa)

Fairfield house is extraordinary in that the location is convenient and the ambiance is welcoming. It is heavenly and strongly reccomendable for outsiders to visit PEI while staying at this great location. Americans would be delighted to swim, eat lobster and discover PEI while staying at Fairfield. In conclusion, I strongly suggest a stay at Fairfield house!

"You have a welcoming, well prepared home for a relaxing & entertaining vacation. The beauty of the location often took our breath away. When it rained really hard, all of the children (5 in total), entertained themselves in playing throughout the house. Thank you for paying attention to detail. Our stay was a real blessing to our family." What We Did: "...went to see Anne & Gilbert musical, explored the tidal pools, visited shops, ate good food and had alot of fun with friends and family"
