This vacation has been a fun experience and amazing getaway from home. We enjoyed being so close to the beach and dividing our time at the beach, the pool and riding bikes around the island. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Overall, we had a great experience and a great time. We loved the spacious home, comfy beds, pool and the great neighborhood. Thanks for everything - we had an amazing time. Mabel, Julio, Javier, Johnny, Carmen and Jeannette

Rod and I thoroughly enjoyed our six-week stay. Our kids came for a week and had a lot of fun dividing their time between the lovely pool right here and the beach. They also did a lot of biking, as did Rod and I. We brought our shih-tzu dog, who loved watching and chasing the geckos on the patio. We also spent time at Mackle Park walking the track and taking Annie to the dog park. This was our 12th time on Marco Island -this year we bought a pass to Residents Beach which worked out very well - easy parking and a clean, nice facility. We had a great time and loved this home. Rod and Sandy Synnes, Sister Bay, Wisconsin

Two of our children and their families joined us for a week-plus each. We all enjoyed the 85-degree pool and appreciated the mess child fence. We found Marco Island nicely situated for day excursions to the Naples Zoo, the western Everglades and Billy Swamp Safari's air boat rides on the Seminole Indian reservation. Biking anywhere on the island was a treat. Tigertail was our favorite beach, with its wondeful shelling - scores of sand dollars. We loved wading across the lagoon to get to the ocean. Marco Island offers a sense of community even to tourists, and there are numerous activities-farmers market, arts and crafts shows, Friday night movies in Mackle Park, Marco Movies, guided nature walks and more. We brought our terrier Gabby and kitty Pearl, who just hung out and looked out the window in the master bath. Sunsets along the beach are beautiful. Often you will have a dolphin show. The playground at Mackle Park is outstanding. Walks around the little lake are fun. There's also a sprinkler park for the little ones. This house is very easy to settle into. The four bedrooms accomodated our family get-togethers comfortably. Many extras added a touch of warmth; decorations, DVDs, games books and piano. We hate to leave and can't wait to return next February.

June 23-30-09 We gathered on Marco to celebrate the wedding of a cousin/ niece and have a biannual reunion for the cousins. In this house we had guests from Iowa, Wisconsin and Colorado. Our kids loved the pool (we were so thankful for the baby gate) and the beach! It was a great week- fun had by all!

Matt and I were here on our honeymoon, married 5/30/09 back in Michigan. We had a great time here. The house is nice, the pool was relaxing and the neighborhood was great. This home will be a huge part of our memory, and we are so glad we were able to stay here. We really enjoyed the Sand Bar, they have a nice, laid-back bar/restaurant with good food. This home is so conveniently located, which made the stay even better. Thanks again!

Alan and Ellen: Thank you so much for the rental of your house. We had a great time. The guys enjoyed the fishing trip with your neighbor, Capt. Jody (note to guests: the cap'n is available for your next trip). The catch made for a great New Year's Eve dinner. The bikes are a great addition - my niece enjoyed taking a ride every day. It was a great place to relax and soak up the sun. We really needed more than a week to do everything on the island.

Thank you for accomodating us on such short notice. Your home is perfectly situated on the island. Mackle Park became a daily ritual to walk along the paths. The Snook Inn is a terrific place for dinner. But our favorite location is the Esplanade. Your home is quite spacious and well-kept.

We had a wonderful visit here. Accomodations were very comfortable, allowing us to make it our home for a week. We enjoyed going to Everglades National Park and recoomend the 10,000 Islands boat tour. We saw several dolphins and spent the rest of the afternoon at Vanderbilt Beach. The next day we went parasailing at Fort Myers Beach and road banana boatas, then went to Sanibel Island and visiting Lighthouse Beach and Bowmans Beach. Spent the remaining days on Marco Island's South Beach. The staff at the Marco Chamber of Commerce was very helpful and gave us a lot of ideas. We will surely return!!

What a wonderful habitat you have here, free as it is of all care, complaints and contraptions. The stone is as steady as an ocean, and the wood as welcome as a warm twilight. Many the waves that have brought this old heart (with noggin and adjacent bag of bones) to your shore. The storms were rich and raucous, but in hindsight only shadows. My poor little me still does tend to jump easily. So thank you for helping me remember to forget! For is not letting go the first step to losing? Tomorrow is the end of the respite. But what is a road, really? I gladly don't know, only that in this case it's necessary if I ever wish to get home.

This was our third trip to Marco Island. As always, it was wonderfu. Just what our family needed after a long, snowy cold Wisconsin winter. Thank you so much for allowing us the use of your home (for the second time-first visit in March 2007). It's perfect for our kids and allows us to make dinner and eat our meals as a family. We love Marco Island!!

Thank you so much for a great place to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. Your place was so perfect, and so was the weather. At one point we had four generations of Miesses together. This will be a vacation my parents will cherish forever. Hope everything was left OK, and thank you for the wine and tickets. (owner's note: from a guest who stayed one month).

We were so enchanted. Marco Island is great. It's sure to settle marvelously, like an exceptional wine. I didn't see anything I didn't like there. The house is great. The online description is way too modest! It's such a lovely, lovely place. Great to host dinners. The heated pool is a big plus. It is a perfect escape for the children, any time. It's so spacious - even when all of us were there we felt at ease. We were also blessed with exceptional weather. Again, we highly recommend this place.

We arrived late, late Saturday night after a totally adventurous two-hour drive from Miami's South Beach. The place is just amszing!! Actually, this is the beginning of a much anticipated family reunion for our now spread-out family, with its core in Baltimore and tentacles in New Haven, Conn., New Hampshire, D.C. and Denmark. It already feels like our home away from home. We may never leave!

Had such a wonderful time on Marco. Definitely recommend riding the bikes around the island and exploring the beautiful scenery that way. We had some cold weather, so we went to the Marco Movie Theater, which has a wait staff and a full menu - very cool for a rainy day. The house was perfect. It had everything we needed and was so comfortable. I think we spent more time lounging by the pool than anything else! Highly recommend watching the sunset from Quinn's at the Marriott (pricey, but get a drink and appetizers and enjoy the view). To all future guests - have a wonderful time. To Ellen and Alan - thanks so much.

We came on a family vacation and had so much fun. The first day we checked out the beach on Marco Island. The next day we drove up to Fort Myers Beach and went parasailing (Paradise Parasails). That was extremely fun, so the next day we went back to take a Waverunner tour. We saw around 20 dolphins and a couple manatees. The next couple days we went to Sanibel Island, Miami, Naples and the Everglades. We even took an airboat tour with Totch's and saw three gators. On Marco, we rode the bikes at the house to Tigertail Beach to enjoy the breathtaking sunset

Memorial Day vacation! First day at the house in Marco was so cool. Loved the eco-friendly aspects. Sat at the pool all afternoon listening to music. What a relaxing and wonderful way to spend the day! We have a BBQ to go to later (though there's a large grill here poolside)to meet all the guests for our friend's wedding. The house is beautiful; we felt so at home! We hope the next guests enjoy this place as much as we did.
