Charming Cottage - Walk to Casino & Historic Downtown

This side of the historic French Lick Springs Resort features a bowling alley, game room, spa, and several food & drink establishments. A walk through the ornate building leads to the casino.
Town center is an open green space which often hosts events and concerts.
One of the most spectacular historic buildings in the United States. Enjoy a refreshment or a treat on the outside veranda after taking in the vast beauty of the dome interior. Public is welcomed.
Ride a historic train through the picturesque countryside near French Lick.
9-Hole course; often referred to as the "Valley Course".
Historic Donald Ross 18-hole course restored in 2007 to its original design. Often referred to as the "Hill Course". Open to the general public.
Indoor water park open all 4 seasons with a retractable roof. Tickets are available to the general public at their website.

With the massive dome in West Baden, the 400 room hotel and casino in French Lick, skiing, hiking, biking, golfing and dining all in the historic valley of mineral springs, we wanted to be part of its rebirth. Enjoyed by herds of buffalo, early hunters, settlers and prohibition outlaws, French Lick is a world class destination. You will find it all here in the picturesque hills of southern Indiana. Delightful cottage that was just perfect for two couples meeting for a holiday season get together. Well furnished and equipped for meal preparation and dining. Cozy, but spacious enough for quiet times away from one another if necessary. Would recommend for up to four adults; don’t think I would recommend for children or for the fifth or sixth person mentioned in the description of the property. My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in this cottage for our anniversary in July, 2011. It was immaculate and met our every need. Will be staying here again on our next trip to French Lick!

Although the cottage is in a somewhat shabby neighborhood area, it is well maintained and beautiful inside. We went with one other couple and it was the perfect size for the 4 of us. One bedroom is upstairs and the master bedroom is downstairs. Everything was perfectly clean and well put together. Seeing as to how the cottage is within walking distance of the casino, it made it quite convenient for us to go back and forth throughout our stay. I'm looking forward to staying here again in the warmer seasons rather than in February!
Owner response:The cottage is a historic structure located in the old downtown part of French Lick very close to the resort. The city hall as well as the fire station and kindergarten are all either on the same block as the cottage or on the block adjacent. We very much appreciate the positive review and we wanted to clarify so that other people can gain an appreciation of the historic nature of the area.

We loved our stay in this cottage! Best location in French Lick. It was very clean & had alot of character. It was ideal for us two couples (and I would imagine a family of 4-6). We walked and ate at Larry Bird's restaurant just a couple blocks away & really enjoyed it! We will be back & will definitely stay here.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Hi, I stayed at "The Quarters" over the holidays. I loved the fact that it's just a 3-minute walk to the casino floor and all of the other things the resort has to offer. The updated interior in the cottage made me feel like I was at home. Looking forward to my next trip to play some poker! Gregg
