The condo has a spacious, 1568 square feet, living area, along with a 222 square foot balcony. Unit is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit, that sleeps up to 8 people, with pull-out sofa in living room. The condo is a bay front, third floor unit, within feet of pool, beach and grill. There are panoramic views of bay and pool from balcony. You can also see the gulf. A fully equipped, spacious kitchen, washer and dryer, High Speed Internet and several pools are just a few of the amenities available to you.
A 5000 square feet pool and kiddy pool, with 700 feet lazy river, 1 pool heated with waterfall and 3 hot tub spa pools, make for exciting water fun. In addition, guests of our unit have use of private Heron bay side pool. There is also a state of the art exercise room and covered parking garage.
Enjoy your view of the Choctawhatchee Bay, while the kids enjoy the lazy river. Four secluded miles of pristine beaches, from Destin West to Destin Pass Bridge, are only a few minutes away. It is only a 5 minute walk to Pier, great beachfront dining and shops at the Boardwalk, as well as the Gulfarium.
Every effort has been made to make your stay at the beach comfortable. Enjoy the views of the Emerald coast waters, white sand beaches and the beautiful sunsets from your private balcony. Relax in the various pools and spas. You have complete access to the beach side resort via the pedestrian bridge. All amenities are included in your stay.

From the moment we walked into this condo we felt like we were at home. Cozy couches, adorably decorated and plenty of space! Master bed was better than a five-star hotel! Patio was amazingly spacious overlooked the triopically lit lazy river and gorgeous views of the bay! It was a little father of a haul to the beach than we expected but liked the overall experience at Destin West. The Lazy River was great for the kids, especially because it's partially shaded for those days when they've had too much sun. Powder white sand of the beach couldn't be better. The use of the Ramada on the beach made bathroom trips much easier, and the grotto "swim up bar" at the Ramada was a nice addition! The boardwalk with the shops and restaurants so close to the resort was nice too. Loved this condo, wouldn't gamble renting another when we return. Hours with Ms. Pacman without the need for quarters was more than a bonus! It will definitely be this unit for us when we come back in the future!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children.

OK, so I was worried before the vacation because due to my work schedule and the owners busy schedule we had some trouble locking down the confirmations. The owner did work with us when we had scheduling conflicts and finally got everything scheduled and the dates confirmed. I have to say that he little bit of trouble ( and I am sure we annoyed the stew out of the owner before it was all said and done) was well worth the experience. The condo was absolutely beautiful, had a great view of the bay and bayside pools, and was easily accessable to the beach and local attractions. The grounds were meticulously maintained and it was just an overall wonderful vacation. Our thanks go out to the owner and the Destin West staff.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
