Description of This San Miguel de Allende Vacation Rental:

Lovely comfortable home in the central historic district of town, within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants San Miguel is famous for.

There are 3 bedrooms and a roof top patio with views of the mountains. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy the sunsets. The house is decorated with Mexican and local folk art.

There is a housekeeper, washer/dryer and spacious patio off the kitchen to eat meals and relax and a lower garden with shade. We provide internet access, cable TV and DVD players. There is a second TV room on the second floor. Lots of closet and drawer space. It is on a dead-end street so it is peaceful and quiet, away from the very busy streets.

  • Two friends and I recently experienced a very pleasant visit to San Miguel de Allende, staying at this house. The house is charming and accommodating, with many thoughtful features, such as electrical adapters and cable internet (if you bring a laptop). There is a telephone for making local calls or for using a telephone card. The terrace, garden and rooftop provided wonderful access to the outdoors. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen, beautifully tiled and designed in the classic Spanish colonial style, was well-equipped with modern appliances. We bought fruit at the market and enjoyed having breakfast, and sometimes other meals, at "home." There is a maid who comes every day, except Sunday, from 9AM to 1 PM. She was very friendly and helpful. If your initial arrival at the house is significantly after 1 PM, be prepared to pay the maid $20 to be let in, because she lives a good distance outside of town and has to make quite an effort to get back on the bus, which doesn't run frequently between where she lives and the town. This is only when you first arrive. After that, you'll have your keys. We were very happy with the location, which is within easy walking distance of the Jardin (the central plaza). The owner told me this house has been in her family for 25 years, and it certainly has the feeling of a much-loved dwelling place that we felt very fortunate to share during our visit.
