My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The cabin was clean, private, and felt very "homey". We loved that there was room for our bikes and hiking/ picnicing junk. The price is incredible and we were able to save even more money by stocking the fridge with breakfast foods and sandwich makings. It is fun that there is a map of the island on the wall in the living room so you can plan your day trips. We fell in love with the island and would gladly stay at this rental again if we visit the area again. The cabin included a phone for local calls which was great because my cell phone didn't get service except for on the top of Cadillac Mountain. Also nice was a cable TV - we caught updates of the Tour de France. The owners are kind and all of the amenities listed are accurate. Fun places close by: sunset at Pretty Marsh, kayaking at Long Pond, nature hike and tour at lighthouse, seawall walk at Bar Harbor, biking at Acadia (we would recommend hybrid or mountain bikes), hiking at Acadia, window shopping in town, and dining at Thurstan's Lobster Pound.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
