The cottage is located between the Bald Head Island Club and the Ferry Landing. Four bedrooms, four and a half baths, sleeps eight in bedrooms and two additionally in the sunroom. There is one king, two queen, two twin, and two twin day beds in the sunroom.
There is a relaxing deck, with pergola, overlooking the point where Bald Head got its name. Beautiful views of Oak Island Lighthouse and the Cape Fear River are yours to enjoy. Amenities include two 4-seater golf carts and is thirty seconds to beach access by golf cart. It is near Bald Head Island Club, Bald Head Island Marina Village, Old Baldy Lighthouse and West/South Beaches. The home has a beautifully landscaped back yard with swing, hammock and outdoor dining area. An additional dining area exists on the second floor, rocking chair porch.
Temporary memberships are available for Bald Head Island Club and Shoals Beach Club. Peak Week rentals include BHI Club membership and Shoals Club. Free Long Distance and High-Speed Wireless Internet in the house.

This is the closest beach access. Less than a two minute walk or 30 second golf cart ride.

Chances are you have never been to Bald Head Island. It’s out of the way, you can only get there by ferry, it’s a little on the slow side and there are no passenger cars. Bald Head Island is our safe haven. It’s the place we go when we need to get away from daily life and recalibrate normal. The landscape is breathtaking and diverse. Our home backs to the dune ridge and forest with just enough elevation to have an incredible view of the Atlantic and Cape Fear River shipping channel. Someone recently told me that they call Bald Head Island the Nantucket of the South!
Bald Head Island is where our family makes memories. We aren’t distracted by all of the things that command our attention on the mainland. We don’t even have HBO and we don’t need it. We rediscovered 500 piece puzzles and worn novels on Bald Head Island. We even enjoy doing laundry there!
If you are looking for somewhere to go where you can shed your routine and begin again, I highly recommend Bald Head Island. It will remind you of what’s important and what you really want out of life. These lessons will travel with you on the ferry home and prompt you to schedule your next visit as soon as you hit the mainland.
