Enjoy salt air and sea breezes, morning coffee on your screened-in verandah, walking miles and miles of white sandy beach and swimming in warm, crystal clear salt water. If you like more adventure then there is kayaking across to Greenwich National Park and the only parabolic sand dunes in North America. For the golfers,The Links at Crowbush Cove is only 5 minutes away. There's plenty of live theatre and music, and both fine dining and family dining nearby or enjoy a 30 minute drive into Charlottetown. Plover Beach Cottage is a breezy, beachy cottage with vaulted ceilings, wide plank floors and a classic gas fireplace to curl up in front of, just in case the sun takes a day off.We love to cook and have a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and all you need to prepare a gourmet feast or a simple summer meal on the gas barbecue. The cottage has WIFI high speed internet, satellite TV, DVD with lots of movies, CDs, books, games, beach chairs and a wagon to take all your "stuff" to the beach. We have 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other bedroom has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on top. We provide linens and all bedding as well as beach and bath towels . Our outdoor shower is glorious first thing in the morning or after a day at the beach. We also have a full bath with a jetted tub and shower.
*NEW! We have just purchased a 3 bedroom cottage in the same area! We are completely renovating it to be beautiful & modern. "The Sandbar" will be ready for rent as of June 1st, and will feature top quality linens, fully equipped kitchen, screen porch, huge bedrooms, gorgeous views of the water and seconds from the beach. As soon as the renovations are finished, we will post the cottage in it's own listing ... but for now ... contact us if you would like more information! We are available for all of June & July and a couple of select weeks in August. Rent is $1400 plus tax

Year Purchased: 2006
Sam has been coming to this beach and cottage since he was a baby. He's now 7! It's a great place to sit back and watch the children explore the sea shore. We now have 2 children and they can hardly wait to go back and meet new friends and connect with their "old buddies".
Why the Owner Chose St. Peters
We absolutely love this part of PEI. The views go on for ever and the ocean is warm and safe. Our children love to find shells, go skimboarding, build sandcastles and run forever on, what feels like, our very own piece of paradise!
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
PEI is a unique place. Our lives seem to slow down here to the essentials ... beach... golf... bike rides and sunsets. If, like us, you enjoy fresh, local food, then PEI is the place to be. We eat only what is produced here on the island and are stuffed every night! We can get our "city fix" with a trip into Charlottetown and be back to enjoy happy hour on the beach in the late afternoon.

We loved this cottage. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and cozy and only a short walk to a beautiful beach of pristine and calm waters. We loved its central location and we took advantage of the sites from Points East all the way to Cavendish. We will come back and we would recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing and peaceful holiday in PEI!!!!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The cottage had everything we needed - even for preparing and serving dinner for a crowd of visitors. The screen porch and gazebo were perfect for evening relaxing. A short walk away is miles of beach to explore, including dunes and a light house.We rode our bikes from the cottage to Red Head and the Confederation Trail. After a week we were not finished exploring the area. It is not easy to find a house and location to make mom, dad and 2 teens happy, and Plover Cottage did just that. Thank you Linda and Mel for a great visit!

we have spent 2 glorious summer vacations at this cottage. Linda and Mel are terrific generous and gracious hosts. What a well equipped kitchen! Beyond groceries and a duffle bag of casual clothing, just bring an appetite for seafood and a good book. (and some mosquito repellent) The beach is quiet and a leisurely 5-7 minute stroll away. Day trips to the Island's most popular spots are only 20 minutes to an hour away.
