"Villa Lo De Marcos" is a completely renovated, newly decorated, two bedroom, two bath home with private pool located in the quiet, laid-back village of Lo De Marcos, Nayarit just 12 minutes north of Sayulita and 40 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. Located directly across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, this lovely home has ocean and mountain views and is completely furnished with hand-crafted furniture by local craftsmen. The use of classic Mexican tile throughout the house gives it an old world charm. It is truly beautiful and practical.
In the kitchen you will find a gas stove and oven, coffee maker, microwave oven, toaster, blender, basic service for eight, refrigerator, and bottled water for drinking and cooking. We have provided our guests with plenty of colorful pool-friendly glasses and dishes so they may enjoy poolside dining and refreshments.
The master bedroom has a comfortable Queen-size bed as well as a twin bed for small children or for afternoon naps. The second bedroom has two double beds. All beds have 500-600 thread count crisp white sheets, down comforters and duvets in pristine white. It is the perfect setting for either an afternoon siesta or a full night's sleep with the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep. Plenty of closets and drawers are provided for our guests.
Ceiling fans keep the already cool house refreshed and air-conditioning is available during the very hot weather. Since we are situated right by the beach, the ocean keeps those breezes coming and this house remains cool even during the hot weather. Air-conditioning is rarely needed.
Throughout the villa and pool area are large potted flowering plants enhancing the look and feel of a tropical setting. The patio and pool areas are breathtaking and have recently been landscaped with some of Mexico's finest flowering shrubs and flowers. Something is always flowering in the garden and it is a pleasure to sit and admire nature's beauty.
You will find the upstairs palapa room a world of its own. Situated directly up from the main living quarters and in the middle of the upper deck level, it is a great place to read, nap, sun and enjoy meals. Climb the stairs with the bamboo handrails and you will be amazed at both the views and the pristine look of the palapa room and deck area. We have comfortable patio and deck furniture as well as two twin day beds that are a pleasure to relax in during the day or to sleep in at night with the sound of the ocean waves and the overhead ceiling fan adding to the breezes.
The surrounding mountains are in full view on the upper deck with breathtaking views on all sides. Who can resist having morning coffee upstairs while the sun comes up over the mountains and the birds sing in the new day? You will never tire of the vistas.
The pool and downstairs patio area offer a refreshing respite from the heat of the day. Cold cervezas and guacamole poolside? You will have shelter under the roof or sit on one of the comfy chairs right alongside the pool. We have plenty of oversized towels and chairs for everyone to relax.
The villa is cozy, yet offers a large family enough room for everyone to enjoy privacy. Large bedrooms, open floor plan from kitchen to indoor living area, moving right out to the patio and pool, strolling upstairs to the ultra fabulous palapa and deck area. Every spot in the house is a haven!

My family which includes myself, husband, daughter (14), son (11) fell in love with villa Lo De Marcos and the sleepy village in which it is located. Our days consisted of coffee in the morning either by the pool or up in the palapa room, then we would head to the beach. Words cannot describe how beautiful and relaxing the 2 miles of beach that literally is just steps from the villa. The waves were perfect for boogie boarding and body surfing, my kids had know issues with the surf, however they are very experienced swimmers. While at the beach my husband would stroll to one of the palapa restaurants on the beach for a $1 Pacifo!! When we were beached out we would head back to the villa and have margueritas pool side while the kids still enjoyed the sun and pool. We cooked most of our meals at the villa, shopping in the village was a fun experience by day 3 we had things figured out, the coolers in front of most of the markets have warm tortillas fresh from the tortilla factory, the fresh bread is amazing, all of the produce was fresh and delicious, the seafood market is in a gentlemans front room in 3 coolers the fish just brought in off of the pangas! The locals are very kind and willing to help but brushing up on your Spanish would be helpful. We were VERY sad to leave and are already trying to figure out when we can come back!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We stayed at this amazing home with my husband and 2 young boys, and we LOVED every moment of it. It's a gorgeously decorated place with room to lounge, where every corner of the home is inviting and relaxing. The owner has gone out of her way to achieve an authentic Mexican feel, and has succeeded marvelously. The villa is a few steps from a gorgous beach and is very close to restaurants and stores. The town itself is a gem, where the locals are super friendly and welcoming and the evening stroll through the streets surrounds you with friendly grins and fantastic street food.

If you are here for a romantic getaway or a family vacation for 6, everyone will enjoy spending time in the villa or on the pristine beach which is only 60 feet from the house. A short walk will get you to Rogelio's, a wonderful restaurant on the beach, or to one of the local in-town spots. Rest assured that Lo de Marcos is safe, clean and the locals will greet you with sunny smiles. It's a great place to practice your Spanish - but don't worry, there are plenty of English speaking locals to help you. Stroll on the beach and explore a beautiful estuary, or hunt for sea glass and stop for a cold cerveza and dinner and enjoy our unsurpassed sunsets! It all awaits you in Lo de Marcos!

Wow! My husband, 2 daughters, and I were completely enchanted by this wonderful villa. We were looking for a beautiful, relaxing, authentic taste of Mexican culture and found it here. The villa was pristine, inviting, and comfortable. It is so near the beach that we could here the waves crashing when the tide was coming in and the sunsets were breath taking. If you are looking for a laid back vacation spot, Villa lo de Marcos is perfect.
