Bay Island Dreams is a luxurious villa completed in January 2007 and located in the endearing little seaside community of West End on the island of Roatan, just off the coast of the Honduran mainland. The villa’s construction quality and attention to detail are unmatched on Roatan. However, while all of your needs and creature comforts have been met inside, the most remarkable feature of this property is on the outside. The views off the covered outdoor verandas are absolutely jaw-dropping! As the property’s developer said, "If you were any closer (to the water), you’d be on a boat!"
Built on two levels, the first floor features beautiful hand-laid tile which has tones warm to the eye, but cool to the touch. The first floor guest bedroom, having two double beds, opens to a charming step-out covered veranda. Just off this bedroom lies a very spacious bathroom. A utility area with washer and dryer are at your disposal should you run short or need to get a stain out of that favorite shirt.
The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The granite countertops include a bar area which seats four. The kitchen opens up to the comfortable living room featuring a 42-inch flat screen LCD television and surround sound stereo system.
Just off the living room lies the dining room which seats six comfortably. The dining room opens out to a 400 square foot covered veranda with an infinity (disappearing) edge plunge pool, gas grill and the million-dollar views of the soft, white beach, Half Moon Bay, the reef and beyond.
Two air-conditioned bedroom and bath guest suites with king-size beds, exotic hardwood floors and step-out verandas are situated upstairs via an interior staircase. The master suite, with king-size bed, spacious bathroom, walk-in shower, a 42-inch flat screen LCD television, and abundant closet space, opens out to the greatest view the villa offers - the crystal clear waters of Half Moon Bay via a very romantic 120 square foot covered veranda.
Very special custom details enhance the oceanfront Bay Island Dreams - outdoor lighting, zoned air-conditioning, the placement of ceiling fans throughout the interior, exotic cabinets and doors, granite and marble countertops, Tommy Bahama and local handcrafted furnishings and artwork, Spanish tile roof, a whole-house water filtration system ensuring great-tasting potable water, and a back-up generator in the event of a short-lived power outage. This fashionably sophisticated, yet comfortable villa is perfect for even the most demanding guests.
Car rental, while available, is not necessary while staying at Bay Island Dreams as all of West End’s amenities are within walking distance. Transports to and from Roatan’s airport are included for free as is weekly maid service. Additional maid service and/or a cook are available for a nominal fee. Compare this property to others in the Western Caribbean and to others on Roatan and you will find this property to be an extraordinary value.
A Saturday to Saturday stay makes for the easiest and cheapest travel arrangements as there are direct flights to Roatan from Newark (Continental), Atlanta (Delta) and Houston (Continental).
