Wonderful Palmetto Dunes Home!!

Fantastic home located in the heart of Palmetto Dunes. Over the past 10-15 years, my family has stayed in many different condos & homes in Hilton Head, but for the past 3 years we have found 71 Off Shore, and can't wait to go back again! Our kids love the big pool, and the bikes provided make for a quick ride to the beach. The house is extremely tastefully decorated, and the kitchen is fully equipped...with a Weber gas grill on the patio. The owners obviously take pride in the home, as evidenced by the annual updates we see. This year, the owners added new living room furniture, along with a new kitchen table and chairs. The owners went out of their way to assure that their home was in great condition, and that our entire family enjoyed our stay. The owners made bikes available, rafts for the pool, and even provided a canoe for our use in the lagoon. The home is also located just steps from a great view of the weekly Shelter Cover Tuesday night fireworks. Hilton head is full of great golf courses, fantastic seafood restaurants, along with tons of leisure activities for the whole family, such as kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, para-sailing or shopping. Our whole family loves the laid back atmosphere of the South Carolina low country, and Hilton Head will continue to be our vacation destination for years to come. Plus, Hilton Head is located just 45 minutes from Savannah. This year, we took a drive over to Savannah and went on one of their popular ghost tours, which was a treat for the children and the adults! We look forward to many more enjoyable vacations at 71 Off Shore.

This is a beautiful house, exactly as presented in the photos above - big thanks to the Andersons for making their vacation home available to us. The house is spacious, extremely well kept and features all the modern amenities you could ask for. Jeff was great in terms of answering questions about the property in advance of our stay and was available to answer questions we had throughout the week. It was also a nice touch to find a binder full of activity and restaurant recommendations - very helpful! The pool is a great size and very nice at night, especially when heated. The house also comes with bikes, which we made use of daily to get to the beach, and a canoe which provided us with a beautiful afternoon trip up the lagoon. The location is great! It's a short bike ride or walk to the beach and no more than a 10 - 15 minute drive to restaurants, night life, grocery stores, shopping and activities such as water sports. And although I don't golf, there are a number of highly recommended golf courses both in the community and nearby. If you're up for the drive, Savannah, GA is just an hour away and provides beautiful historic architecture and tourist activities. I would absolutey recommend this rental to anyone looking for an enjoyable vacation! Jeff makes everything extremely easy in advance of arrival, the location is perfect and if you're looking for activities, there is something for everyone. We look forward to visiting again!

My wife and I stayed with my four young kids and in-laws for our spring break. The listing and associated pictures could not have been more accurate. This is a beautiful home with fantastic amenities. When the pool pump and pool heater was a little testy, the owner could not have been more accomodating. He replied quickly to e-mail or text messages and went out of his way to make sure we were set up perfectly. The home allows privacy for seperate families with it's upstairs loft area. We had great meals outside Palmetto Dunes at The Chart House and Parrot Cove, across the street in Shelter Cove. We made one trip to the Salty Dog, but it was a three hour wait, and it costs money to get in to Sea Pines (only $5, but it's the principle). Regardless of where you are going, with kids, go early. It starts getting busy at most local restaurants around 6pm. The house is well located in the center of the island and easy to get to other attractions. There is a grocery store right there. The bikes and bike trailer made a trip to the beach relatively easy. Bring a kite for the beach, as it will be windy and my kids loved flying their kite. As well, bring a small, heavy duty shovel for building sand castles. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend, and when I come back to Hilton Head Island, I will reach out to the owner and stay here again. We stayed at 71 Off shore last week and were amazed at the quality of the home and its decor. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with everything you keep at your house. The dishes were very nice-not cheap stuff like most rentals stock with. We had 3 families and 4 small children and the house was very accommodating. The pool was well kept with nice patio furniture. TVs and I-Pod docks were in most rooms in the house. The beds were all very comfortable, complete with nice linens. The property is in very good condition and we were amazed at the quality and style of the furnishings. Often rental properties at the beach are cheaply furnished and decorated tacky- I would be proud to have this as my own home. Also, in the garage there were many great items that the owners made available for us to use rather than locking them up like most rentals. There were multiple bikes, beach chairs, and even a canoe to use on the lagoon. We took our children out and they had an absolute blast! When we arrived we were having trouble getting on the wireless, so I emailed Jeff, the owner, and he called me back almost immediately to help us resolve it. He has been over the top nice to work with and was very prompt in our deposit return. If traveling to Hilton Head in Palmetto Dunes, I would highly recommend this home. It has a great layout for multiple families, and made us feel like they were friends who had lent us their personal home for the week! This truly is a great place to stay for your vacation!

For many years we have stayed in Palmetto Dunes but have always stayed in a condo. However, after staying in your home for a week, our idea of a vacation has certainly changed. This house is close to everything by being in palmetto dunes, yet more private than one could imagine. Whether grilling outback by the pool or walking down to the dock to take the canoe for a paddle down the saltwater lagoon, this house offers the perfect environment for a great vacation. The next time we plan a trip to Hilton Head, it's nice to know that we already have the perfect home to return to. Thank you Anderson family for making your home available!!!

I was recently fortunate enough to stay here on my annual golf trip. I won't stay anywhere else in the future. Minutes from golf courses, restaurants, shops, and entertainment, but quiet enough where you feel like your miles from the hustle and bustle. The property is in awesome shape, with a nice heated pool and easy lagoon access. Can't wait to go back.

I stayed at this property for a long weekend and it was great! Very quiet neighborhood. Secluded and private. It is just enough off the beaten path to be quiet but very accessible to the local activities and restaurants. The home is in great shape and very clean. I would definitely stay there again. Plenty of room, in great shape, and quiet.
