WOLF POINT CABIN is a beautiful, privately-owned cabin on three-fourths acre lot within walking distance of Cedar Breaks Lodge off of Circle Drive. Secluded feel, yet not even one-half mile from Brian Head's main road, Highway 143. 1/2 mile from Navajo Ski Area and Snow Tube Hill, 1 1/3 miles from Giant Steps Ski Area. Approximately a 2 hour drive to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Half an hour from Cedar City's Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Warm, inviting, and contemporary decor awaits our guests, in this fully-stocked cabin with everything you will need for a great mountain escape. Just add friends, come and enjoy! A phone is available for emergency use (no long-distance service) Cell service with Verizon works from the cabin, and a DVD, CD and VCR are offered. Also, a full variety of puzzles and games are waiting for you! Four-wheel drive suggested, essential in snow season. NOTE: Snow plowing is done by a private company. During periods of heavy snowfall we can't guarantee when the plow will arrive. In heavy snow storms, we ask for your patience and understanding if the snow plow arrives late in the day. Scenic Utah! Wolf Point Cabin-Great Get-Away, Awesome View

Year Purchased: 1998

Why the Owner Chose Brian Head

Brian Head offers the alpine terrain we love, an escape from the summer heat and a chance to get back to nature.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

The bird and squirrel shows on the front deck are always entertaining! Grilling and eating out on the deck in the summer and fall, enjoying the company of friends, and snow tubing in the winter makes for some good memories.

Owner's Map of Brian Head

Creating Wolf Point Cabin has been a passion of ours. My wife Anita and I bought the land in the fall of 1998. We began construction the next summer and by early 2000 had it completed. We did much of the work ourselves, including designing the floor plan. After hiring a contractor to build the shell, Anita and I finished it from bare drywall, including the slate and wood flooring and mosaic tile work on the kitchen breakfast bar. We were a bit reluctant to offer it for rent, but soon discovered that people respect what we've accomplished and feel the good energy there! It's very rewarding reading our guestbook and realizing that people enjoy it as much as we do. We invite you to discover Wolf Point for yourselves! Enjoy, -Ron & Anita

    • We first rented Wolf Point Cabin because we were looking for an upscale, charming chalet to accommodate our entire family, meaning our 2 boys and our dog. We were very happily surprised and returned 3 more times and will go back soon. We could not stay any other place in Brian Head! The cabin allows for complete escape with its panoramic breathtaking views, a feeling of being home due the practical and tasteful decor, all necessary amenities in the kitchen, comfortable beds, as well as DVD with surround sound, pool table and other games, and most importantly a lovely wood burning fireplace. The cabin is perfectly located, a couple of minutes from the ski slopes while being surrounded by trails in the magnificent forest. Wolf Point Cabin is a treasure!

      Homeowner Response:
So glad you've been enjoying Wolf Point, you've been great guests as well! -Ron & Anita

    • Wolf Point to my family represents to us true family time. We (my wife and two kids age 11 and 14) have had the opportunity to stay at Wolf Point on a number of occasions, both in summer and in the winter. We love the winter through spring break time as we all ski and have found that Brian Head is a very family friendly ski resort. Coming from Southern California to ski without the huge crowds is so nice. Arriving back after a great day of skiing, the cabin welcomes you with warmth and tranquility. First thing on the agenda is to build a fire in the fireplace, toss in a smooth jazz cd and make some hot chocolate. The cabin has a nice open floor plan with beautiful views out of every window. The kitchen is just the right size to make any meal and is well equipped to make cooking easy. The owners have a real eye for interior design as the colors and furniture blend together providing the perfect environment to relax and enjoy time in the mountains. The cabin offers ample space for the family to hang together or find a special spot to curl up and read a good book. We enjoy the splendid beauty both inside and out at Wolf Point.

      Homeowner Response:
Thank you Hemstreet family, we've enjoyed hosting you - come back anytime! -Ron & Anita

    • My husband, 3 kids and myself had the priviledge of staying in this cabin a few years ago during the kid's February break. We were there to ski Brian Head and though I know the family did enjoy the out west skiing (we are from the East Coast), I think that the time spent in the cabin was their favorite part of the trip. The cabin is easy accessable and close to the mountain for skiing and local stores and restaurants, yet when you are there you feel you are a million miles away. The view is breathtakingly beautiful! And then you get inside the cabin and you immediately feel right at home. Cozy yet stylishly decorated and finely appointed. All the amentities of home without the stresses. Enables you to relax in a mountain cabin-like setting and yet it feels nothing like camping. Lots of fun games and books for entertaining and everything you would need in the kitchen to cook up some quiet evening meals (or some local take-out.) One good memory I have is the five of us curled on the loft bed watching a movie, after a nice dinner and a game of bumper pool, all warm and snugly, looking out at the snow and trillions of stars. A true slice of heaven.

    • My wife and I (often with other friends or family) have stayed at this beautiful and cozy home on a number of occasions. The views are spectacular and the professionally decorated cabin (really more of a mountain home) is a great place to relax. We have been there in every season and each is wonderful. We have also celebrated Christmas there which still ranks as one of our favorite holiday getaways. The house is fully equipped with everything from kitchen gadgets to a great selection of games. The owners are always updating the home and it is extremely well maintained. If you go, be sure to get a Brianberry pie from the MountainView Deli just up the road! We highly recommend this property and hope to go back soon ourselves.
