"The Blue Lagoon" is located in Topsail Island at the North end. Beach access is directly across the street. The waters are very clean and clear. The Blue Lagoon is newly updated with 2 bedrooms, sleeper sofa and 1 full bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped including a microwave and a complete set of cookware for the preparation of all your favorite beach meals. Those meals can be enjoyed in the spacious dining room, watching your favorite DVD or just listening to romantic music. The duplex is bright and very clean for your relaxing summer vacation . Newly tile floors throught and remodeled bathroom.
It also has a new ,large,enclosed, outside shower that is very popular in the summer, which provides warm water. A concrete carport under the house will keep your automobiles cool when they are not in use. Stairways and decks are located on the front and back of The Blue Lagoon for those relaxing evenings. We have very clean and sandy beaches with bluegreen ocean water. Multiple turtle hatchings are sighted every year on the island.
Surf fishing is very good around the island. A public boat ramp is close by. North Topsail Beach is about 45 minutes from Wilmington Intl. Airport, North Carolina.Our vacation rental is available in all seasons, including November through May in the Winter as a monthly rental for our snowbird friends. We encourage our northern friends to come and stay for a 6-month winter rental. Smoking is permitted outside for your convenience. We ask if you could please leave your pets at home for our future friends with allergies.

- There are many golf courses in the area. Especially, North Shore Countryclub, which is the only Coastal Carolina 4-star golf course-as rated by Golf Digest and is 13 minutes away from The Blue Lagoon. Historic Wilmington has many attractions and is about 1-hour away from North Topsail Beach. There is a Railroad Museum, Children's Museum, Wilmington Museum, Fort Fisher Aquarium, Fort Fisher Civil War Museum and the North Carolina Battleship. There are tours given in order to see the historic areas of the town. Airlie Gardens and Orton Plantation are nearby for the Garden folks. Our island offers rentals for the beach toys that were left at home.

I like this location because its only a munute and half walk to the beach. It is a very nice family kind of area (like the Outer Banks used to be when I was a child)

This was the perfect spot for us and our two boys. They had a great time with the toys, PS2, and beach. My wife and I enjoyed the value and the convenience to the beach. We really liked the outdoor shower, especially compared to some others we have seen, and it made the single bathroom a non-issue. The property was lovely and the owner was great to work with. I would recommend this property for a couple or small family.

This place was perfect!!! It had everything we needed and more. It was clean and updated. It was a short walk to the beach. We will rent here again the next time we go to North Topsail! We felt at home here!

We stayed at this beach house in March and it was more than we expected. It was clean, nicely decorated and a beautiful place to stay! All the extra toys and bikes were a definite plus. The beach access was close and the house was in a great location. The owners were very attentive and quick in their response. I would definetly recommend this rental to anyone in the future and we will be back!!!

My husband and I are retired and we took our grandaughter on vacation with us this year, she is 7. We had a wonderful time at the Blue Lagoon and the owner was very helpful and kind. The beaches in North Topsail are so beautiful and it was just a 3 minute walk (maybe 5 for us old folks). The beach house was clean and had everything we needed, not to mention a great price! I'm very disappointed in the house because the house was very dirty, the appliances in the kitchen were dirty. The house listed as no pets yet when we vacuum the floor there was a lot of pet hair. most of the beach toys were broken, the bikes are in a bad conditions. The beach access was awful you have to walk by trash cans and walk through a bunch of flies. I will not be back to this location and I would not recommend it.
Owner response:It is unfortunate that after 5 years of wonderful reviews and happy renters, that we have encountered our first negative review. We try to accomodate our guests by offering extras such as bikes, toys, etc... that other rental properties do not offer. The Blue Lagoon has a NO pet policy and we enforce that especially since our new floors have been installed. I received no calls concerning any issues stated by Blanca, I am available 24 hours a day. There are many beach access areas near the property that you can choose to use. All of our guests have been very pleased and the majority of our renters are repeat guests. This place WAS better than my wife,children and i expected. They just put down new tile floors.The outside shower was extra large,enclosed,hot/cold water(normally they arer very small). All the things that you normally would have to buy(chairs,boogie boards ,entertainment)was there. We definatly enjoyed the bikes to ride on the nice,flat roads. The beach access was right across the street from the back yard(convenient!). We would always recommend this place. I wish it was for sale!! Bob Porder

This place was great!!!!!. I took my family there mainly to see the sights and do things but we ended up staying at the Duplex most ot the time. We just went to the beach and hung out . Everything was there--just as Scott Said. It was GREAT! Going back later this fall. I highly recommend it--no surprises there!!! Thanks Scott The Gordons
