Marathon recently spent $5M renovating the beach, so you’re a five minute walk to one of the best beaches in the Keys! The pool is on the west side, so you’ll have full sunshine in the afternoons for your tanning pleasure.
The 70’ concrete dock will let you tie up your yacht or multiple boats. We are on the ocean side, so you'll have quick ocean access to some of the best fishing in the world. Ample trailer parking is available.
Use the freezer out back for your bait, ice, and your catch. I have installed underwater lights in the canal - you'll be mesmerized by the fish while at night. Let the children cast a line and Voila - they caught a fish in the Keys - something they will always remember. Mangrove snapper, angel fish, sting rays, and nurse sharks have all been caught off of my dock. Tarpon have been spotted lurking in the shadows. Rods and reels are provided.
The house sits way back from the street which is hidden by lush Florida tropical landscaping.

Our little family (myself, 55, husband, 47, daughters 16 and 33 and son in law 33) were looking for a quiet, low stress respite from the snow, holiday hype, and the normal everyday hubbub. None of us had been to the Keys before so we didn't really know what to expect. This house is a gem, set in a beautiful spot. First of all, although it's small, the privacy was assured by placing the MBR on one end of the house from the other two BRs. The house itself, although relatively close to neigbors, is effectively landscaped so you never notice. The pool was heated, and althoug the weather wasn't as warm as we might've liked, we were able to swim. We loved the hot tub. There really isn't a plethora of "things" to do... The fishing excursions my husband checked into were a bit pricier than he was willing to pay, there are no miniature golf courses or other beachy things that we could see, but that was fine for us. We went for walks to the beautiful sombrero beach, ate at wonderful restaurants (our favorite by far was Castaways), went for an evening to Key West, watched DVDs, and the girls and I went and got overpriced spa services at a nearby day spa. Complaints: we never could get the wireless internet to work (hence I'm writing this on my phone!), the shower in one of the bathrooms didn't work, and the TV/DVD in the LR was setup incorrectly (son-in-law was able to put it right). But those were small compared to the amount of quality time we were able to spend together thanks to this lovely home. Suggestions: provide take out and other menus, help promote other tourist businesses like day spas by providing brochures, maybe subscribe to a daily newspaper for the house, fix the other shower, provide instructions for things like the A/V equipment and the canal lights which we never found. Thanks for a wonderful time!
