My 3 frends and I stayed at the Wyndham for 10 days and absolutely enjoyed every minute. Although we do not cook we enjoyed having the full kitchen and refrigerator for storing drinks and nibbles. The Waikiki area has so many great restaurants close by - Giovanni's, Yardhouse, Roy's, Sushi2Go just to name a few that we tried as well as lunch at Hauikualani (great lunch - expensive but good and the view is worth it all). The staff at the resort were very helpful and the parking garage location very convenient (we rented a car for 4 days). The parking garage staff were very nice to deal with and very punctual in getting the car). Laurie was very helpful in getting us situated in a great condo and we are looking forward to another trip in 2013. We will definitely try to stay here as it is the perfect location in Waikiki to walk and even to catch the bus to Ala Moana. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering a Oahu vacation.

A great time at Wyndam

Four of my friends and I stayed in the two bedroom, two bathroom condo for a week in March 2011 and we all had a wonderful time. Laurie was extremely helpful with our booking and she answered all of our questions very quickly. The Wyndam is in the perfect location right in the heart of the newly developed area and was close to absolutely everything. We walked everywhere in Waikiki and rented a car for a couple of days to tour the island. The Alamo rental place on Ala Moana boulivard even came to pick us up and dropped us off. We used the kitchen to cook lobster tails (10 lobster tails for $20!! at one of the farmer's market) and has a wonderful meal for very little cost. Having the kitchen was a great bonus. We originally were given a ground floor room next to the lobby, but after the first night, we asked if we could move to a room on a higher level. The front desk staff (Charles) was extremely helpful and we were able to move to the 4th floor for the rest of the week. Would I go back to the Wyndam for a future trip - most definitely!!

Our family stayed at the Wyndham Beach Walk in Waikiki in January. Accomodations were arranged through Laurie Hanan who can be contacted at "somewhereinparadise.biz". She was extremely helpful and made the whole process very easy. There were 7 in our party (all adults) and we stayed in a spacious, 2 bdrm, 2 bath unit that had plenty of space for all of us. We recommend the Wyndham for anyone looking for a condo unit near to all amenities. The Wyndham is conveniently located a short block from the beach, just off Kalakaua Avenue, with lots of good restaurants, shopping and night spots to hang out at right outside your door. This is a timeshare, but staff were courteous and at no time were we pressured in any way to tour the facility or otherwise subjected to a sales pitch. An excursions desk is located in the lobby and we booked tours to Pearl Harbour, Hanauma Bay, as well as a car rental, at very competitive prices. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Waikiki.

We stayed here the 3rd week of June. The condo was very nice. We loved having a kitchen and family room. It was perfect for a family with 4 kids like us. Great location, close to all of the shopping and restaurants and very easy to get to the beach. Only drawback, the pool was VERY small.

Owner response:I am not sure of the exact dimensions of the pool, but I have booked hundreds of guests at this resort and this is the only complaint I've ever gotten about the size of the pool. I've stayed there with my family a total of 5 times and my kids love the pool and find the size more than adequate.

Thanks Laurie for a flawless and wonderful time at the Wyndham Waikiki. Emails were replied to promptly, no problems with check-in or stay, and Laurie was very accommodating on a weekend instead of a week long stay. The 2bdr deluxe upper floor unit was big enough even for 8 adults. Stayed at multiple Waikiki Properties in the past, Hyatt, Hilton, and Moana Surfrider to name a few, and the pluses of having a kitchen and living room far outweighed the pool and spa services offered at other hotels. All of Waikiki is within walking distance and the onsite parking, while a bit expensive, was fast and convenient.

Although booking a unit from so far away in Australia, we can reaffirm what an excellent place to stay. The beach is close, Lewers Street bopping, including The Yard Bar and the unit was totally comfortable for our adult family of 6.Cheers

I've stayed in just about every hotel in Waikiki over the last 25 years. This summer we took a family vacation from July 20th July 30th and stayed at the Wyndham. It was the best experience I've had in Waikiki by far. Great location, great facility, great everything. If you're planning a family vacation to Waikiki don't stay anywhere but the Wyndham. Make reservations through Laurie and you'll be even happier. She was able to keep us in the same unit for 10 days straight which is unusual for a timeshare facility. She made sure everything was coordinated in advance and delivered as promised. I'll be planning all my future business trips to Waikiki through Laurie.

We visited Oahu in February, and had an absolute fantastic time. The condo was a 2 BR 2 BA, which was perfect for 4 adults. The location was better than expected, being 2 blocks away from the beach, in the middle of a new addition to Waikiki on Lewers Street and within walking distance to night life and restaurants of all tastes. Enjoyed spending time by the pool as it is a fairly shaded area this time of year, which is nice when you have been in the sun all day, but still wanted to be outdoors. Would recommend the Wyndham to family and friends 150% and can't wait to go back!

Just returned from 3 glorious weeks at the Wyndham. Stayed on 9th floor in Plantation Tower and loved everything about it. The staff were very friendly and the valet service was fantastic! We enjoyed the amenities the Wyndham had to offer from exercise room, pool table, wireless internet(lobby) and swimming pool. The hot tub is a work in progress and will hopefully be up and running on our return in 2009. Laurie was fantastic to deal with and we have no problem recommending her and somewhereinparadise to whoever is looking for a well put together vacation. Mahalo Laurie until next time!

A wonderful place to stay. The condo's are centrally located on Lewers Street which is the new booming area of Waikiki. All condos are decorated with a tasteful Hawaiian flare and have plenty of room for families. The pool is a little small and has a shallow end of 5 feet which may be a little deep for smaller kids. Not many people were in the pool during our stay so it was very relaxing. They were building a hot tub but it was not complete as of yet. (December 2007) The beach is nearby...about a 3 to 4 minute walk. ABC store within 1 minute to get your groceries. I can't wait to go back!!!

This was our third stay in less than a year. Laurie and Dave, owners, of Somewhere In Paradise, gave us lots of personal attention, their service beats any travel business we've ever tried. We stayed in the Plantation Wing and had a view that overlooked the newly renovated Beach Walk Strip. Everything is walking distance and the beach is a skip away. The room was luxuriously furnished and equipped with a huge Roman tub that would have held our whole family, if we were so inclined. The kitchen had everything we needed right down to a rice cooker and a water purifier. the kids enjoyed the free classes and the game room. Wyndham doesn't miss a thing when providing for their guests. Give Laurie and Dave a holler and let them set up your stay!

This was a fantastic condo- perfectly comfortable for 7 or 8 people. Everything is in great shape, and the classes offered (hula, lei making, ukelele) were excellent. The staff was friendly, the kitchen and bathroom were extremely well-appointed. Everyone was very happy, and the location is hard to beat. With a nice computer room, exercise room, arcade, pool, and great balconies- it's hard to think of anything wrong. ABC Store next door for essentials, new restaurants all over the block, and easy valet parking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk. We had a fabulously and luxuriously decorated two bedroom suite overlooking the pool. It was equipped with everything we could have needed, right down to laundry detergent. While there was outside noise - typical for Waikiki - the room was well insulated, and closing the doors blocked out any unpleasant noise. Anyone who stays here should be sure to take full advantage of amenities such as the fitness center, and the fun ukulele, hula and lei making classes. Anonymous

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Room 701 and would recommend the property. The ambient noise is disturbing but not much the hotel can do about that. The wireless facility should be extended to the rooms. The rooms need instructions on how to operate the air-conditioning. The Outrigger hard-sell is intrusive and not appropriate.

We had a lovely 2 BR 2 story suite (room 1421) with a private elevator, 3 covered lanais with furniture & views of both the ocean & Diamond Head, 3 flat panel TVs & fluffy beach towels. The front desk person was slow during check in & we had trouble finding our room since the main elevator ends at the 12th floor & we were on the 14th floor. The valet was worth the money & the young men were very friendly & efficient. We had a great time. Thanks for all your help.
